SmartPlan - Floor plan app using camera

Great little app, and useful for making rough measurements. It would be even better if you could create the floorplan by tracing out the ceiling instead of the floor. It's hard to get around furniture when using the floor to create the plan. Also there is no way to edit the floorplan once it's been made, make sure you get it right the first time.

Better than Magicplan. This is an under rated app, it is primarily for people like me who need a quick general idea of what they are dealing with and can use the app file in another program to fine tune it if necessary. No massive price tag like Magicplan does. You can even save your work FREE and edit it FREE. It doesn't have all the little bells and whistles like Magicplan, but it's free and does what I need it to do.

It's definitely simple and works well enough. Really cool to get a 3D- and 2D-version of the result. Really wish you could edit the plans afterwards, connect them with each other and place simple furniture. But for a free app, this is already fantastic!

only used it a little bit but it was simple and it did a good job of finding the floor surface and measuring the distance between points. works best in an uncluttered house/structure.

i'll give this a 5 star for simplicity - it took me a short while to figure it out but i would say i scaled through a 2 floor house in minutes once i got a hang of it. i would like to see a port over into PC from the app linked for further design and more widgets like steps etc. your app 3D rendition is awesome as far as a phone app goes which is something i like as simplistic as needed. @the developer - well done and please let me know when you upgrade this in future

Accurate for my purposes, and easy to use. Still assessing, and will come back to review again once I have put the results through all its paces with my entire working suite of tools. DXF export would make a potential 5 star

Quite accurate compared to similar apps, but it doesn't show the floor area, only the wall measurements.

Doesn't work, hard to use. No instructions, just 3 vague "tips". You can blame user error if you want dev, but an app that isn't intuitive to use and then lacks clear instructions is poorly made.

Great app, does what it is supposed to do, only thing I would add is a feature to drop furniture/fixtures and allow for text to be written in to specify rooms.

Works great but it's not what I'm looking for. I wanted an option to create a floor plan by sketching it out from scratch (Place a rectangle here, add an entry, place a square here, add the entry..)

This app should be rated higher. I almost didn't download it but I'm glad I did. I think it's better then some of the apps that are rated higher. Very easy to use and the measurements are pretty accurate.

The app seems more accurate than others, I would love it if it would automatically calculate square footage.

Does exactly what the title states. May be a bit of a trick at first but once you figure it out its amazing. Great app!

Wants access to my camera, want permissions to take pictures and video? Don't install this isn't safe.

What the heck just puts grid lines on the floor..never moves past that.
