SmartQ Reader

This app needs a text reflow option. Text reflow is one of the most important features of any app that involves reading on a mobile phone. Not everyone has perfect eyesight and wants to always be scrolling like a type writer to read zoomed in text across the whole page. Please add this feature and I will give 5 stars bc it will then deserve it.

I have found this app almost perfect for my purposes (reading, highlighting pdf and make notes). I found a minor bug though, or at least I could not get it work properly. After highlight a piece of text which starts in one column and ends in an other it is not possible to make an other selection or highlight text, the app only re-selects the one was highlighted cross-column. (I hope that was clear). I think this can be fixed easily and the developers will deal with it. No other issues yet, I am very happy that SmartQ Reader, unlike Mantano, saves my notes etc. directly to the pdf, thus they are visible even when the file is moved or I am using an other reader.

Just spent overnight testing about a dozen reading aps and finally this one hit it. Fast, reliable, no confusing options nor unnecessary controls, gives you user-friendly feel, you can even categorize your books and put encryption, and no annoying ads that block your view and slow the system. Testing it the whole day and no prob so far for me.

First the good news. This pdf reader is very fast - it renders pages in big, image rich pdfs in an almost unnoticeable amount of time. Big thumbs up for that. However, it sometimes crashes for no good reason. Still better for large files than anything else I have tried.

Good and fast reader... But if can make it used in multi window in samsung phablets and tablets, it will be better. And sometime the highlight has some problems if i want to highlight upper sentence then highlight the words in lower sentence the upper one ll lose the highlight. Hope can fix it and get my 5 stars.

Wow, this is so much faster than any other reader I've used on android, and without the typical glitches that most of the speedy readers have. Nearly instant page loads even on complicated, heavily layered PDFs. Filmstrip-style navigation and a little more work on the English localization are the only things I'd ask for a 5-star rating.

Great app and one of the best design for reading app. But when trying to copy selections the file unexpectedly closes. Hope this can be fixed. Also there should be a direct storage possibility once a file is open. For now it saves by default all the changes made to the original file.

This is by far one of the fastest and easy to use PDF readers. The feature I love most is the ability to crop margins and have the crops intelligently persist from page to page. I have yet to see any other PDF reader do that. Also your textured mode is nice, makes my PDFs feel more classy. My only complaint, the ads are in Chinese. I mean I understand that you needed to make this ad supported but Chinese ads will get very few clicks from English speakers. Also, maybe use Google AdSense ads instead?

I have tried a lot PDF reader such as eZReader and PDF Reader but they are either too bulky or full of ads. I like SmartQ so light-weight and clean blue feel. However, it misses out TTS ability, dictionary and highlight pen. It would be great if SmartQ has all those in near future. Then you will earn five stars from me. Edited: April 20 2015: When will you launch iOS version? very expecting.

My initial feedback was excellent: "Much faster than other viewers! Easy navigation bar and other nice features." However, I now changed it into a single star because I find that the set of rights demanded by this application is totally unacceptable, in particular the right to modify the system settings and to close other applications. Recently, after the app crashed on a particular pdf, I went to the settings to remove the launch by default and I had the surprise to discover this long list of rights.

It used to work well on my Galaxy Tab S, but for the past few months highlighting and underlining don't work well. Underlining actually crosses out the line underneath. Highlighting does the same, but it's less obvious if you highlight several lines together. I regularly use the pen under annotation feature to draw lines, and notice I can't change thickness of the line. All these features used to work well with my Tab S, but no longer. They still work well with my Note 2, and with the Galaxy Tab 4. I hope you can make it work again.

Blazing fast! I've been looking for a PDF reader that can render fast and I've found it! This is top notch if you are looking for speed. My other reader, which is still a favorite of mine, struggles with PDFs. Even scrolling up and down was inconvenient, with everything looking low resolution before the app finally gave smooth render. But this app... Man, I never thought reading PDF would be so smooth. Kudos to the developers.

I ve been using this app for years and I realy realy love it. But since 2 days ago when I change my phone to Samsung galaxy C5, I found a trouble.. The app can read / browse storage.. it says "Please confirm memory card has been inserted, not been mounted". What should I do..? Please help me..!!

* PDF's opened through Downloads, Gmail, Drive, or most other external apps, fail to load and are reported as corrupt. * App switches to portrait even when current orientation is landscape * Zooming out is not uniform and is distorted on Nexus 10 Also, I preferred the old rendering/loading screen, the little thumbnail, instead of making the whole screen go white. Maximum zoom ratio should be increased. More than 1 page of pre-render in the reverse direction would be nice.

This is an extremely fast PDF reader, but if you need zooming, it is a nightmare. Zooming is broken, full of bugs and impractical. Double tap zooming either makes the page act funny, or displays a black screen. The problem is, when you are on a cellphone or a tablet, zooming is the most essential function. It is a pity, because otherwise, this is an incredible PDF reader. Fix the zooming and this will be one of the best PDF readers for Android. Don't fix zooming, and it is useless.

Highlights, bookmarks etc are not made to pdf standards so Adobe reader and others cannot see them. Also, smart q doesn't see theirs. Otherwise great reader marred by a simple problem. Please update to use pdf standards. On a minor note, might be useful to have annotation icons instead of text when you highlight a passage, words don't fit on a 7 in screen. Maybe Dropbox integration?

Fantastic app, very smooth and many useful features for a free app. However I need some features improving in the next update. 1) When renaming bookmarks they is a restriction on how much I can write, please change this and allow us to make the bookmarks names as long as we want. 2) We can only add one bookmark per page, please allow us to add multi bookmarks to a single page. 3) Allow us to name our ink once we've annotated, so that we can easily go back to annotated work. Please make these changes!!

I dont know what do you guys need in a pdf reader. For me this is simply the lightest and fastest pdf reader in android. My only complaint that the interface is not perfectly compatible with my device. I will rate 5 star if developer fix this. Thank you for this free awesome pdf reader.

By far the best PDF viewer I've found for Android. Handles several hundred megabyte PDFs with aplomb and great speed, though Adobe Reader chokes and dies on same.

Please remove the prompt before exiting. It needs too much clicking. Add some way to open the last read book without changing the sort order. Cheers.

Better than most paid apps in terms of functipnality. The scan feature is great and allows quickly adding pdfs anywhere from phone. UI scaling is sometimes a bit off, but the core functionality is perfect.

I have used that app for few years. I was very happy. But when I buy Samsung Galaxy j7 marshmallow version it doesn't find my PDF file. Notice me like that " Memory is inserted and unmounted. But my memory and my device still performing. " Solve this problems please

support high resolution device now. super smooth for sliding. but still lagging when zooming. hope it will support continuous reading mode in the future version. thanks smartq. best reader on nexus 10 ever.

Impressive and simple interface , couldnot find any difficulty. It would be great if there is a option to view 2 pages at ones.

The Best in all terms expect for page turn animation not working even after switching on. Team please help.

The best raw pdf reader, really fast and to the point. Could use some features but no other reader beats its speed.

Its nice when you finally found the app that does exactly what you wanted and needed, plus much much more in this case, awesome app
