SmartSky
SmartSky is a first-class EFB aeronautical tablet that helps the crew fly more efficiently and with less paper on board.
A distinctive feature of SmartSky is that it provides an on-line update mode of aeronautical information in accordance with all changes occurring in the aeronautical data base on a single server of the North-West Automobile Research Center. At the same time, SmartSky provides continuous information exchange with the well-proven NOTAM processing system - “BAI-Online”.
SmartSky has a wide range of basic functions:
- in the “Navigation” mode, the aircraft’s location is displayed with reference to the cartographic basis, while you can select several map options;
- the screen displays all the elements of the structure of airspace, special zones and zones of flight restrictions, airways and local air lines, the boundaries of the areas of controlled and uncontrolled airspace, aerodromes and hydroaerodromes, heliports and landing sites, artificial obstacles, the boundaries of the areas of meteorological forecasting;
- special loading is divided into layers and interactive, you can not only get information on the objects of the aeronautical data base that interest you, but also connect and disconnect the necessary information layers, which eliminates the need to overload the working field with elements that are unnecessary in this particular situation;
- it is possible to save routes for reuse and subsequent adjustment, you can also plot a route on the map by setting turning points by tapping the screen;
- An electronic collection of aeronautical information provides the ability to view IFR and VFR schemes and compile favorites lists for easy navigation;
Another important and demanded feature of the SmartSky product is access to the well-proven system of working with the NOTAM database - “BAI-Online”. SmartSky provides access to the NOTAM database, updated in real time over the AFTN network. Working with “BAI-Online” you can compile, save and update the necessary NOTAM samples, compile formalized ballots, and when connected to the appropriate devices, print them out.
In addition to all the listed SmartSky functions, you get access to the on-line version of the Aviator information product, which was developed by SZ RCAI together with the Codex Consortium. The specified product contains a voluminous database of regulatory, organizational and administrative and information documents governing the activities of the civil aviation industry (including FAPs, Guides, Regulations, Information and Analysis of air safety, orders, orders, information letters from authorized bodies of the civil aviation industry). The relevance of the product is supported by DAILY operational updates.
