This latest update 1.7.85.25 is completely horrible. They removed one of the best features the app had. The ability to quick change output from the notification bar. I do not want to have to go to to the media output button. The quick access was so much easier and more convenient to use... I will be rolling back to a previous version.

The volume control could be way more responsive than it is. I shouldn't have to wait nearly a full second for every 1 unit of volume increase/decrease. Maybe introduce a press & hold option. Otherwise this app is great. I have 2 Q80A's in the same room and that makes the remotes worthless unless you intend both TVs to respond to each individual command. The Smart Things app keeps us from killing each other. I was told the remotes are Bluetooth but I can only get IR responses out of them.

Weird. The earbuds only beep if they are out in the open. If they are under anything, even a blanket, it will not chirp and the option to turn on the volume doesn't work unless the earbuds are uncovered. Defeats the purpose if you can only hear it if out in the open. Strange the GPS works great, but the audio has limitations.

I love this app. It's so cool being able to use my phone to control my Samsung TV. The mobile app works fine for the most part. Very rarely my phone would have trouble detecting my TV. I do wish the watch version of this app could offer more features though. I would love the ability to pause/play and rewind/fast forward content I'm watching on Netflix from my wrist. At the moment the watch app only let's you control the volume and change channels. Please add support for pause/play video aswell.

It's overly complicated and unreliable. Does work well with our Frame TV. Sometimes it won't connect so we can't turn the TV on. You would think it would be easier to navigate to Netflix or Hulu via the app, but all it is is a digital version of the remote. Have fun entering passwords by swiping on a touchpad to select letter by letter on your TV. It could be so much better.

It literally only worked for about 5 minutes. I got this app to use with my new Samsung smart TV. After setting everything up on the TV & my phone, the remote control functions worked great... until the first time I closed the app. Nothing on the app has worked since. I can see my devices, but I can't interact with them at all. In fact, I can't interact with much of anything in the app now. All I can do is look at stuff. I can't change or even click on almost anything. Absolute garbage app.

The only time I have a use for the SmartThings app is to get help finding my watch. But the feature needs a download within the app (which in itself is annoying) but no matter how many times I tap on the Find card the add-on never downloads. No errors or any other indication of what's wrong. For a feature that is normally needed in an urgency to be a useless tile in the app is just horrible product design.

The only thing I want to use the SmartThings app for is to find smart-tags that I have attached to keys. When I open the app and see the devices, I try to find them (by ringing). The app apparently tries to download the "SmartThings Find" add-on but never does so successfully. Yes, the app tells me the key is in my home, but if I can't get it to ring, that doesn't help me all that much.

This app mixed with the Samsung Network set up is infuriating. Constantly getting 15-100 and 15-200 errors even though my sound bar will hook up to the wifi for a week or two. Then when I try to reconnect it I have to go through hell to get it to come even close and 99% of the time it won't reconnect. I have to uninstall everything, the smart things app, restart the sound bar, the phone, the wifi, and it still doesn't work. My Samsung Q950A refuses to connect to wifi.

Almost pointless. Doesn't tell me anything about my devices. All you can do is change settings and get notified of generic events that are annoying. My fridge lost power, no notification. My fridge temp too high, no notification. My dishwasher lost power, no notification. My dishwasher was paused, no reminder. Oh but it will ping me a notification literally every time someone opens the fridge door. Why?

This app is complete BS. There's absolutely no tv remote control functionality - THE SINGLE MOST NECESSARY FUNCTION. I get that you ended support for Smart View, but breaking it before ending it was a pretty f'd up thing to do. The dpad only goes down or side to side. You can't press up. Y'all are just as screwed up as Microsoft when it comes to removing needed features.

Worked fairly well for a while, but now gives a "No Network Connection: Couldn't find any available networks" error. Nothing has changed on settings. Same network it's always been on. I don't know if something changed about the app or about the TV's firmware. But either way, that is the error I recieve.

Trash experience!!!!! Can't connect to my smart AC because everytime the app asks me to sign in to connect my phone to the AC, the web browser opens and there the verify button doesn't work. If it does work then I get an error saying too many verification has been done so we blocked the sms and calls. Very bad experience. It's good that I didn't purchase more Samsung products and will never will.

The "select" on the 4d pad doesn't work, which makes navigation useless. Also, I can't control devices connected to my smart tv with the built in option. Update: After re-install the app works much better and I can turn off the TV properly. In some apps require a "long press" of the select to work, but that's workable. Only if we can have text entry with the app would make it even better!

This review would have been 5 stars, until the removal of the audio output notification panel. I loved the ability to quickly change which Bluetooth device to use. In my work I have 3 cars and 2 speakers that try to connect automatically, so to have the ability to change my audio output quickly was awesome. Please give it back to us.

Virtually everything you go to add is not compatible with this app. Integrations with other apps are hit or miss, some work and some don't. When things do work, expect them to break later. When you Google connecting things to this app, you get complicated workarounds just to make something simple like a button to toggle a plug. The app also doesn't let you delete your account, there is an error on their website that creates an infinite loop.

It's been a while since my last review. The software still improves. But even after using it for well over a year it is still not intuitive. The software works, yes. But interface design is not one of the strong points. I have four Smartthings hubs, the mesh network (not working as Smartthings, thankfully) and around 100 smart devices. I've been using smart home devices for six-plus years now and enjoy it immensely. Stop hiding options, or make a beginner and advanced interface.

TVs are constantly going offline making the app useless. I would delete the device and readd it. it would last for a few days to a few weeks then go offline again and could never reconnect. The app is basically garbage. I wouldn't recommend any of their products either we ended up returning all the TVs to. The LED diodes kept burning out. Samsung responded with troubleshooting I've been doing for over a year with no success. This company is not the company I thought it was. Just garbage.

Broken after last update. Worked great until last update. Had trouble signing in after the update. Then once I did I was able to see my devices but always got an error that there was problems connecting and to try again later. It did it for 2 weeks. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and it worked, once. Now it's doing the same thing and I'm on my home network. Trash

I've never had an issue with this app and it has always worked well. But since the newest update I no longer have the status bar in with my notifications. The bar that was a drop down menu where I could switch between connected devices. It was so convenient and easy to use. I've looked through the settings trying to figure out if it was just optional now and I haven't been able to find anything. I'd absolutely love if we bring it back or tell me how to re-enable it.

When setting automation it works very much like commands in IFTTT. Once I got the hang of it, the processes were simple versions of most programming styles. I also like the lighting groups, much like rooms but where you can control specific groups of lights together. I do have problems with the same device being added multiple times. What does smartthings make of this? I would like to reorder the groups which seem to be random so that you don't need to flip back and forth to find the one you want.

Seems to function in some aspects, not in others. Uploading photos to my fridge doesn't work. Nor does installing the Cooking service so I can view my shopping lists at the store. Works for my TV just fine, can control sound and sources as well as use the "trackpad" on the phone to navigate the screen. Was really more concerned with the shopping list, though nice to know I have a remote I'm less likely to lose.

I loved this app (5 stars) until they removed the audio output in the notifications panel. To quickly view and change bluetooth connections with the audio output panel was one of my favorite features of my entire phone. Now since the samsung one ui 4.1 update it is just gone, replaced by only the media and devices buttons, which are laborious and cause more problems than their worth. Please bring back the quick access audio output panel for connected devices asap! Need this feature!

I don't know what you people did, but I'm upset with this app now. I liked the feature where you could tap on the silent notification and switch between devices and phone audio. Now I can't figure out how to get that back or if it even still exists. I want it back. If I want to show a video through my phone audio to someone I now have to disconnect whatever devices I had connected. It's so annoying. I liked this app before that, now I'm just fed up. Please fix it, it's so difficult to use.

TV remote control does work unless the select button is long pressed. Why can't I just tap it. I literally have to long press every time I hit the touchpad/selection button on the virtual remote. On the flip side if I hold it too long nothing happens either. What gives? I want to tap it just as easily I do everything else on my phone. I shouldn't have to meter how long I tap a button

Gabe the app control of my TV. Completrly non-intuitive UI. No idea how to navigate it. Can't get it to relinquish control. My regular remote doesn't work. Rebooted both the phone and the TV. Still bots back to a phone menu mirrored on the TV with no way to control or navigate. DESTRUCTIVE APP. As of this point it has rendered my tv useless

The worst app!! It gets confusing with each update, not very useful. Loses fridge connection continuously. Family Hub functionality is limited on smartthings, Family Hub doesn't work anymore, you have to use smartthings! Since we lost whiteboard, I tried to use shopping list, but it does not sync to the phone or you see just one item! Very unhappy.
