Just turn on the GPS and it will find all public transit stations around you and will list the name of the stations, routes/trips, next arrival times, your distance to the stop and your relative location to the stop on the Google maps,...
You could also add the stops to the favorite list. Once added to the list you won't need to enable the GPS anymore.

I've only just installed but I'm 1/4 mile up the hill from the main drag & it is 2:00am, however it won't give any info on future times, routes, or any useful items. I guess I have to be closer to a stop & it has to be daytime.
Tells me there are no bus stops near me and I'm sitting at one.
"No stop found nearby. Increase search radius and try again." I was sitting AT the bus stop. A bus stopped there less than a minute later. This is supposed to work in Salt Lake City and is one of the recommended apps on the UTA website. It doesn't work.
But with every "Update" progressively gets worse to the point where you have to uninstall it.
Too many force closes. I had to bake in heat while this app kept giving me force closes. I keep sending the reports but if not work it's removed.
Didn't even get to explore the app before it black-screened & quit with many pop-up error messages
I live in Riverside, California. My city is listed on the list that it is supposed to work with, but it never found any stops and I know there is one right outside my residence. Sad, I was really hopeful.
This piece of crap should not even be allowed in the play store. Nuff said
You must be within 2300 feet of a transit stop for it to detect anything. Not much use for me since I live about 2 miles off the main trail. The map is somewhat useful, although it doesn't show bus details.
I am directly in the trolley station, and it tells me no results found :-\ , even though more than 8 bus routes stop here.

Better off with google maps. Hope they fix it.
Just downloaded so I haven't fully tested it yet. On first glance I would say that it would be great if it showed the bus routes, or at least a link to the transit maps so you could see where the buses went.
My city is listed as one above but does not work. Deleting!!!

I have had this app for 2 days I take 2 busses one way to work 4 total a day n it worked once it opens n then says app stopped I'm getting rid of it I would not down load it if I were u
Nothing shows, takes forever to load. Waste of a download.
As the title says, I was never able to get it to work...
But there are 6 bus stops within 1/2 mile of where I am.

I've had SmartTransit for a few months in Buffalo, NY and really like it a lot. Along the way I discovered that it is essential to go to Settings > Applications and in the SmartTransit settings you must allow the application to automatically update. SmartTransit will stop working if the transit provider's schedules change and you have not checked the box to allow automatic updates. The map feature was not working for me at first, but now it is working fine. Version 1.9 is what I am using now, and it is a lot better than previous versions.
