SmartWatch Universal IM

NOTE: Facebook Messenger is a SEPARATE messaging app from Facebook. It is not the main Facebook app.
What sets this app apart from other notification apps is that each notification will bear a unique icon for the IM/chat system that generated the alert. Additionally, there is custom formatting logic to make the notifications much easier to read for each chat network. Unlike other multi-notifiers, it does not require any complicated 3rd party helper utilities to work.

Go to your phone's main settings screen -> Accessibility -> and check "Universal IM Notification". THEN, go into the main SmartWatch application, click "Applications", click "Universal IM Notification", make sure "Enable/Disable" checkbox is checked, click "Universal IM Notification settings", make sure "Active" checkbox is checked. If you use a task killer or if you do a "clear data" on this app, you may have to go back to the Accessibility menu and enable the app, and you may also need to toggle the "Active" checkbox off then back on in the app itself so the SmartWatch will re-register the extension. If you are having problems after an update, uninstall the app, reinstall, and re-enable in your phone's accessibility settings as show above.
NOTE: Most IM programs will not create notifications while you are using them in the foreground at the time the instant message arrives because it assumes you already know about the new message. In this case, the SmartWatch will not get a notification because the IM program did not generate one. This is the expected behavior.
IMPORTANT: This app is a notification manager that filters, reformats, and relays notifications generated from the IM system's official application (which you must also have installed) from your phone's notification bar to your SmartWatch. It is published by Unexpected Development and is not in any way affiliated with the publishers of any of the IM services mentioned above.

Good function, the sms and whatsapp are working for me.Hope to expand to other IM apps. However, it drains the battery faster than i think, and keep stay in the background even not using it. Without connecting to smart-watch and disable it on accessibility mane, this app is still running all the time.
It would be nice to see the individual message when multiple whatsapp msgs come in. An action to clear all msgs will be nice, but better than 'see in im' IMHO. Then it would be perfect to add support for wexin or wechat
Does what it says but drains battery a lot. From 2 days standby to not even a day... Too bad
...so viber actually works great with this , and skype almost as well...problem with skype is that it does not notify an incoming call , but you get later a missed call notification and incoming texts works fine...whatsapp does not work ! The other services I can't tell since I don't use them but I miss support for gtalk and g+ messenger , that should be the first ! This is android and fb chat is supportet but g+ hangouts are not ??? Support for nimbuzz and tango would also be very nice !
I have android 4.1.2 this App won't work please help me with it or fix it to work on my phone
Do not buy. This app does not work at all on Samsung galaxy s3. Email support does not respond. Rather use WatchIt.
Does the job but since it prevents deep sleep phone and watch don't last more than 50 percent of the day
For some reason, the app it's no longer compatible with my s3. When that changes, I'll change my rating. Update: Its compatible again.
Recently upgraded my phone to 4.1, notification does not display text content on my watch since then. I've been using this app for a year. can't refund now. Pls fix.

the idea is very good, but you need to cut down the resource use, not all phones are flagships. I tried to use it in a Samsung Tab 2 P-3100
Works well for whatsapp and viber. Really needs to work for Google Talk, then 5 stars

THIS IS THE APP THE SMARTWATCH NEEDS. I am using the Smartwatch with a Samsung Galaxy NOTE II. An app that controls and channels all IM apps. I need this to work with Whatsapp and I would like to be able to read a thread as it is on the phone (scrolling through the conversation). The same applies to Viber and Skype. If the phone's SMS service could be included it would be COMPLETE. I'm glad I invested in this as I see great potential in the (near, hopefully) future... Keep up the good work!

I have problem using it with Xperia T, Because when I activate the access in Settings, My Xperia T screen wont be able tu use the touch screen. What can I do with that?

Great app, works well but sometimes gives multiple/duplicate messages and also needs the option to choose what IM services to receive notifications for rather than just everything or nothing.

I used this app on my Sony Xperia Acro S using ICS and it worked just perfect. I upgraded my Handset to a Xperia Z using JB 4.1 and it started to give issues with notifications. Apparently it is not fully compatible with JB 4.1 I updated the phone to 4.2 JB and now the application is not compatible at all. I cannot even install it on my phone. If you are using ICS, this is the best notifier app I could find. However, if you plan to update your phone, please do not buy until an update is released.
