This game is massive! Nearly 1G of data- comparable to a complete human anatomy atlas, and twice the size of a modern mobile RPG. Had to delete a bunch of other apps to make space for it on my kid's tablet. Has performance issues, including display problems that make the app unusable on certain devices. Children shouldn't have to have a high end device just to play a simple learning game. Devs really need to optimize the assets and/or break up into smaller pieces or download modules separately
Game itself is great. App is giving a lot of trouble to login. I can't from my phone(android 10) developer suggested a tablet. My old tablet didnt show the app and could only find it through chrome. App needs Jelly Bean/Kit Kat, which it is but here it says not optimized and uncompatible. I got a new tablet(android 9), not optimized; can download, cant login. It clicks like it was to take the information but stays at that page with the info intact. Please help, we really like this game.
App was a problem at first. You have to go into the app details or information and allow all permissions. Then the app worked fine. Not sure why it needs those permissions but it will allow the app to work and not get a black screen
If you are having issues with the sound, try this! It worked for me. (I copy pasted from a website) You have system sounds muted. Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds. If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery
Galaxy Tab A 8. Took forever to download and when I try to open it, all I get is a black screen. apparently this has been happening for a long time with many different users. Are y'all ever going to fix this??? Daughter needs this for kindergarten. Please help!
App works great and my daughter loves to play it. However the app shows a white screen when they are singing the book she is working on. Other than that everthing else works just fine.
This was recommended to us at our granddaughter's kindergarten orientation/registration. Our local school district has contracted with Smarty Ants and they said it would give her a headstart. She has completed our state Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program this past year, and has been doing really well, but decided to give this a try. I downloaded the app yesterday afternoon. Granddaughter worked on the assessment (got in the pool), and I thought it was taking quite a while, but she was getting the answers right, sometimes having to think about them, but getting them right. She finished up the assessment after about 35 minutes and took a break for dinner. She rushed through getting her dinner eaten so she could get back on the tablet again. After dinner we limited her to 15 minutes, and the games it was presenting to her were challenging her and we could see she was a bit frustrated. Then it was time for bed, but when we sat down, to read to her, she said she wanted to read them I helped by pointing at the words, and she sounded them out/built them. It took some time, but she read the first 35 pages of Dr Seuss's "Green Eggs and Ham." She had made the reading connection!
Display problem. Login and menu has no issues. But, display issues/loading animation promlem. I hv reinstall the apps but not working, I have reformat my tab n reintall apps still not working. Happen to two of my tab with OS 5.1 and 7.0. Anything i should know?
download this 3x & all 3 the screen is black. nothing loads. Very disappointed updated: if you fix the permissions on this app it does fix the black screen issue. More stars TBD Update::The app is telling my son that to continue to use smarty ants he is required to download smartyants 2nd grade edition. Well cant find it. It does not exist. Now he cant use the app at all to even do the previous lessons. It completly restricts him from using it. Hes only in kindergarden and wants to use this.
Doesn't work. I had to go to APPS on the settings and then go to permissions and grant all of them but now it doesn't let me create an account. You can login only if you have an account already.
The app just goes to a black screen after multiple attempts to log in. Have uninstalled and re-installed, force stopped the app, nothing works.
For Samsung user after app installed go to settings/apps/ and look for Smartie Ants, go to permissions and allow microphone, phone and storage. This will fix the black screen everyone is having trouble with.
Like fellow post for the last 4-5months. Nothing but a black screen. Uninstalled and re installed, same results.
I attempt to open on two devices and I get a black screen each time. My sons classmates are being recognized for their work and he's missing out.
I can't tell you anything about this app because I have not EVER once been able to go any further than initial login. After that it's either loading or unable to load.
Terrible waste of time! Waited s long time to download and all I get is a black screen! Horrible! Wish I could give no stars!!!
Login for school is a a barcode I am trying to get her login and scanning the barcode is not optional....how do I get her in an option to sign up is not even optional
Love the app as a whole but having issues with the letter painting part my daughter can trace letters and pimp up the sound of the letter but it stops at the painting and she cant go any farther
It won't load! It's black screen and it seems like constant problem.

Nothing but a black screen. My daughter needs it installed for SCHOOL!!!! I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. So I guess she will do without. As I look on the reviews it seems to be a common issue, but I don't see anyone talking about fixing or working on the issue. Last year she had it and it WAS a wonderful app, not this year.
