For years this was what I used to sync my Yahoo calendar with my Google calendar on my phone. Once in a while it would stop working but would recover and continue. A few weeks ago it stopped syncing again. I contacted the developer and didn't hear back. I'm guessing after Yahoo was acquired by Verizon the changes were hard to keep up with. Anyway it is useless now so I went on a hunt for another solution. Unfortunately I have hundreds of events scheduled and the calendar is shared with my wife so moving off of Yahoo calendar would be a big job. Fortunately I found that Microsoft's Outlook syncs very well and is easy to use, much easier than trying to access the Yahoo calendar with a web browser on the phone.
Like others writing recent reviews, I have had this app for years and it worked perfectly until recently. Not syncing on either my phone or my tablet anymore (or my wife's phone). I don't think it relates to a software update, since my tablet hasn't updated in 10 months. Have emailed the developer with no response. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP UNTIL THIS IS FIXED (IF THAT EVER HAPPENS)
Unfortunately, like others I have used this app for years to sync all my calendars and then all of a sudden it stopped working around Nov. Same network error as others described. It's a shame something stopped working and disappointing that there seems that there isn't any support anymore.
Like all other reviews posted, this app no longer works. However, if you Google smoothsync, it pulls up a page saying they acknowledge it no longer works and they are in the test phase of the new app. So, hold tight, and check either the web site or Google play store for the new app.
I have had this app for several years. I really liked it until recently. I would put information in One of my calendars, and it would sync with my other ones. I have a yahoo calendar on my desktop and I have a Google calendar on my phone. All of a sudden, it stopped working. I've tried writing to the help desk at the website, and although I get a form response, I haven't gotten any help or information from the developers.
I loved it for years, A 5 Stars, as it synchronized very well read/write with my Yahoo Calendar, updated both in my PC and smartphone. Unfortunately, I started receiving some weeks ago a network error. Uninstalled/reinstalled on my Huawei P20; then restored the phone to a time when everything worked fine; Then even tried resetting phone to factory default for fresh installation from scratch : all failed. Error when finalizing the link with Yahoo. Impossible then to add the yahoo account via Smoothsync, always error after giving login data. It seems as if Smoothsync's way of linking with Yahoo is not updated, and Yahoo, now under new owner, has changed its read/write system and accesses privileges. I am afraid SmoothSync for Yahoo Calendar is now obsolete ...
It would be so nice if it worked. But it doesn't. Try 10 times and get 10 responses, but never a sync. And on the best tries never removed entries deleted from Yahoo calendar. Does, at least, show correct date !!
The app successfully logs in to my Yahoo account, but it doesn't know it and reports a network error. Two attempts to contact customer support, but no response. They should really allow a free trial so we can test the app before purchasing.
Worked fine for years and then inexplicably stopped syncing a few weeks ago, as many others have also stated. Tried reinstalling and now I get a network error from Yahoo. I suspect either an update to the Android OS or something changed on Yahoo's end (which is more likely). This all happened at the same time across multiple devices using multiple Yahoo accounts within our family. The fact that its not being fixed at this point leads me to conclude that it can't which is a shame as I really like the Yahoo Calendar but its looking like the time has come to part ways and just change over to the Google Calendar. The app should be retired now and pulled from Google Play as it no longer works. If this is on Yahoo/Oath/Verizon, what could possibly be the business case for doing this... frustrating what few remaining loyal Yahoo users there are? As if having to buy an app to make the Yahoo Calendar work with Android is not bad enough, now doing something to break the app?
Stopped working, Ive had this app for several years now and the app has stopped syncing. I constantly receive error codes that explain nothing. I would love some help to remedy this problem.
calendar used to sync with android phone, will now only list 3 of 7 calendar listings. Have tried to reinstall, but still won't work properly
Downloaded app to manage Yahoo calendar. App would not fully load, but stuck with a "Network Error". Message to developer's support email has gone unanswered.
Nightmare keeps coming up with network error it used to work fine... Emailed developer and no response and 3 weeks on from asking... Not the first time it has not worked did the same again last year... Not happy
this app stopped syncing nearly 4 months ago. After 2 months I gave up my repeated attempts to contact SmoothSync about the nonfunctioning app.
I do not know what's happened but calendar was syncing just fine until a few weeks ago on my Galaxy 7. Please help!
I have been unable to sync for a very long time! This app should be REMOVED from Google Play!
Avoid this buggy app. Smoothsync for Yahoo, doesn't work, they promised Refund and never did it.
used to work. It has been great till it stopped and now I uninstalled and cannot reinstall.
worked well until last android os update. now it is completely broken, no longer works.
No longer works. Had this for years, time to move to Google calendar.
Doesn't work on Samsung S9 Note with the latest Android. Help is needed!
Stopped syncing entirely. Anybody know another way to sync between Yahoo and Android?
can't sync for a few weeks. sent a few emails still nothing!
App just quit. No longer works appears not to be supported.
Does not work! Sync failed. Tried twice
I used this app for years and in spite of occasional glitches, it worked well and I looked it. NO MORE. It stopped syncing about ten days ago and nothing I do gets it working again. It even wiped my Google calendar clean. I suspect this may have started when Yahoo updated it's mail app. I would gladly switch to Google calendar on my laptop, but I've NEVER been able to get my phone Google calendar to sync with my laptop's Google calendar.
