SMS Blocker. Award Winner.

Overall, good. Sometimes a few texts don't send, and I have to delete them, rewrite, or cut and paste, and send again. There is a bug in your program. I am not sure how good the spam protection is yet, but it does seem to work well enough. I like the copy and delete pop up for two step verification messages when signing into other accounts like email and other services. Ability to customize more would be welcomed also.

Awesome app. Worth the money to avoid terrible spam messages. Haven't had a single one get through once I set the parameters. Update: App has several graphical bugs in messages. App will sometimes show a text message from a number but when you click on it, it realizes it was supposed to be blocked and deletes it from indox. It shouldn't show the message at all if it was blocked. Occasional bugs her and there. App still needs to be polished, however, it is better than nothing.

Update: I waited 2 years to give this another try. It still blocks spam texts (good for politics seasons) but still has major issues. 1. Pictures can take minutes to send or even get stuck sending, 2. You cannot download anyone's attachments, 3. You cannot copy your own text you sent! I increased to 3 stars for the blocking ability but I really wanted to pay for it if it had addressed those huge issues.

I was getting spammed like crazy by text message ads. The numbers changed every time and it seemed impossible to stop. Since I started using this, I've had a lot less spam, and there's features to help put a stop the ones that still get through.

3 Stars because there is poor to no customization. How about choice of background, text size/color, conversation bubble type/color/size. I would think for the work you've already put into this, these requests would be minimal. I keep my current Messages + app as default, but when an unwanted spam text comes in, I switch to you, block the text, then switch back.

Not great. Functions are about the same as most messaging applications hence the two stars as it does do that but as a Spam blocker it doesn't do much. All useful features are locked behind a paywall. As a free version of an app that's mostly complete garbage.

I have sent two emails to the developer and he does not answer. I have the paid application to access all the options. And even then the developer does not honor his name and his commitment. I am making an observation to this very bad application, YOU CANNOT delete the contacts that you call FREQUENTLY. The phone then fills up with the contacts you frequently call. There is no way to delete. I do not understand why this section of the application is filled, since it is only for messages.

I was getting at least five spam text per day ... until Spam blocker. I don't know if that sounds like a lot but it was super annoying. Spam blocker is catching the bad ones and letting through the good ones. Very easy to see who got blocked today. I wish it had group naming capability and copy paste was a little more robust. But I'm very pleased.

Definitely works. Much improved since a year ago. Purchase price is more realistic, I wanted to filter spam SMS’s by their content as it’s a waste of time filtering the number because the numbers are spoofed and changed all the time. So I bought it. Firstly, I’d like to share the ultimate text filter that will catch EVERY scam SMS. Ready? It’s /? (forward slash, question mark). If you create a filter with /? every scam SMS will be blocked. So far I have not seen /? in any legitimate URLs in case a friend sends you a link. But if that friend is in your contact list, they are automatically allowed anyway. Now, here’s why I think you should NOT buy this app. I have been using it for a few months and I find it frustrating at times. Sometimes real SMS’s get mistaken as spam (like confirmation SMS’s from the dentist and SMS’s from your bank) so DO NOT to set Automatically Block Spam on. Leave it off. Next, you will lose all the cool features that your modern phone’s SMS messaging software offers. Sure, you can still send photos but they are reduced so much that the resolution is awful. Also you lose the recycle bin so any deleted messages are permanently deleted. On the subject of deleting messages, sometimes after deleting, you get a notification saying “messages are being deleted. This may take a while”. And it stays there for so long, the only way to clear it is to forcibly stop the app. The only good thing is that when a spam SMS does arrive, you are not bothered by it but as it turns out, you still spend time looking at it and deleting it because you don’t want the app to delete a real SMS automatically by mistake. So ultimately, I have reverted back to the default SMS messaging app and I vet SMS’s manually. It’s not hard to figure out which ones are spam. Also, back when I first got this app, I emailed the devs with detailed feedback. Many weeks later - no response - very disappointing. Long story short, don't waste your money.

Love the app. I have upgraded to the one time purchase. But do not know how to stop the monthly subscription or how to tell if I have been credited for the upgrade. I cannot contact support through the app. When I click contact support it goes nowhere. Support please contact me.

I never expected an app to work this well. I was getting 50 unwanted text messages everyday and it was starting to effect my business. Only 1 spam message has come through as the app is learning my preference. I am so grateful to have tried Key Messages.

Not impressed! Lots of little problems with this app but the biggest one was when it was importing my old text messages it lost about 30 to 40 percent of them. Not acceptable...

I would say this is the perfect app for me, but it really shouldn't cost anything just to block spam and sort messages. That is the main reason why I got this app intially. I like that you can filter spam numbers and such, though. My default SMS app doesn't have those features, which is a shame. However, this one is probably one of the only good ones for that purpose.

Great for Blocking. No more spam from email texts! Some areas for improvement: -Contact pictures show under wrong person -It seems like I don't always receive images that are texted to me.

It's a nice app. The spam and business sorting works wonders, but there's a lack of customization and settings. Every chat has a different color which I'd prefer to be able to change the color of each chat and look of the app's overall theme. I hate that it pops up with message delivered every text you send. Clicking the person's info at the top should open contacts. I wish there was an option to just show their name and not their number in chat. Overall it's good, but could use more features.

Works well. Love the fact I can separate my personal and business text messages! Also the auto spam detection is great even if it doesn't automatically delete without purchasing premium. The only issue I have is I noticed when I attempt to send a pic with the app none of the images are visible (grayed out) unless I go through the gallery. Is this a known issue or is there some setting I need to adjust?

5 STAR APP! I struggled for more than a week trying to prevent an all-of-a-sudden flood of x-rated texts that I tried to fight by deleting and blocking. I couldn't keep up with the influx and I really have much better things to do with my time. My Messages app didn't help. Then I found Key Messages. Hallelujah! After a few settings, no more "looking for a horny girl?" and other Triple X texts. This app is GREAT!

As others have mentioned the inability to silence group texts is pretty annoying. Also, I have text delivery reports turned off yet I still get them. No ability to change size of texts separate from system size. Most of the good feature are only for the paid version, however I am not going to pay for the premium version with the existing bugs I've seen.

This has been a wonderful app for me to block all sorts of strange text messages I receive. I thank the developers. It does take a bit of getting used to, as I have to go down the list and select United States to get the +1 Country Code and then put in the phone number -- but this is because their app is quite comprehensive, and includes the ability to block SMS or MMS messages from a lot, if not most, countries -- and has all these country codes in the app. Thanks again for a very good job.

Very good app, the only downside is that I cannot save attachments for some reason. It keeps giving me the error "couldn't save 1 attachment", I wish there was a way to fix this. If it is fixed I will update my review to 5 stars.

It blocks unwanted messages, but also anything that isn't on my contacts list. And now messages from the same person are sent separately and it's very inconvenient.

Opening the app does not clear the new message notification on my phone. Very annoying. Also, I can't copy a MMS message to the clipboard so that I can paste into another message.

Quite good! 1. You can set it to block all msgs from entities that are not in your address book, WITHOUT uploading anything to the cloud (NOTE: this is a bit hard to find at first) 2. One-off purchase, instead of the continual slavery that is subscription 3. It can show you your blocked messages once a day just in case.

Update: Wound up purchasing it when it was on sale for the $30 I was originally willing to pay for it. It definitely helps block a lot of spam, and the premium features help more, but does have some bugs. Blocked texts go to their own area, but won't show up there until I mark all as read. Many blocked messages also still show up in my inbox as empty messages, which largely defeats the point of blocking them (they do get cleaned up the next day, when they're moved into the old blocked messages)

This app advertises many extra options for purchasing the premium upgrade but in all reality, you cannot do anything. It advertises that you can block messages by keywords in the messages and there is no way for you to do that and I expect more from not only this company for asking for $39 for subscription which is false advertising and the Play store is also guilty of allowing these apps and the makers of these apps to false advertise for profit one day we're going to be able to sue one day.

So far so good! This is the only messaging app I've found that actually successfully blocked spam texts I recently started getting. I'm impressed enough to consider paying for the premium version.

This app is good keeping out spam messages. I receive around 1 each day and this just started recently. I hope they start working on blocking them all because it can become very annoying.

This app sends ad messages to people on your contact list! Uninstalling! It is the only spam blocker that I have and specifically targets messages. Hasn't happened since I uninstalled it as well!!!
