SMS Popup

Works great for SMS and MMS but doesn't work for new protocol RCS. Look it up - it's standard protocol on Android native Messages app now, so if you have a newer Android phone and someone else uses a newer Android phone and you are both using the native Messages app, there's good chance the text message you receive is RCS and this app will not detect and notify you of those messages. There is a way to have the person messaging you to use SMS and MMS for messages to you, but that's not workable.

This was the best sms app I have had. I have galaxy N20 and it does not work at all. Dev has not updated this for many years. I wish he would so it can work again. Please come back and fix it.

Led function was amazing on my s5 and i loved the specific text vibrates I could do for each contact. Could use an upgrade for notch support on the s10 phones...

the app keeps retrieving old messages, so every day will list dozens and dozens of old. messages again and again. I had to uninstall it.

Perfect for what it does.

Does not work. After the disaster of an Oreo update, I lost my ability to assign individual SMS tones and I tried this. Despite following all the instructions as written, it would not work. No sound came. The only time I got a sound is if I allowed a pop-up to appear smack in the middle of my screen. Not convenient if you want to do anything on your phone.

On a Note 8 this app works only intermittently. Can not relybon it for recieving text messages. Maybe its Android 7.1, don't know. Also...would be good to be able to turn on message notifications at the top of the screen like the Samsungs Messages app does by default. So easy and quick to reply that way. Not just have the pop-ups off and on. I don't have the pop-ups active but would like to see the message in the notification panel.

Have a Note8 also. Used to use Klaxon but no longer worked with upgraded phone. Then Samsung took away individual sms notification sounds. This app solved both problems in one. Only conflict is users sharing same mobile provider don't pop up or repeat the notification and they are important people I need it tow work for. Maybe someone has a suggestion to fix. Also,would like repeat option to be as little as 30 seconds for the type of business I use it for. Would love those updated.

I have had this app for over 2 years now & everything was amazing! perfect I could say. Up until now sometimes the pop up msg deletes my text msgs before I even read them or when I close the pop up to see later but when I go to the actual text app they are gone from there too. I have missed quite a few important text from work & personal because of this bug (I almost didn't make it to a meeting because the pop deleted the text my boss send with time and place of meeting.) Please put a setting that doesn't allow this app to delete any messages.

Love this app, all sms apps have issues with repeat notification, I have missed too many texts in the past, this one works. One huge request, and I would pay for it, is to have your pop up appear even when on a phone call. I just missed a very important text message because I was on a call, and the little icon in the bar is not noticeable enough.

Was using GO SMS because I like the pop ups and Screen avatars but liked True caller ID somewhat better the hard part with that is that I have no idea when a text comes in this makes up the difference... Graphics could be a little nicer, though..

I have used this app for over 6 years and loved it. But the developer seems to have abandoned further development so it's time to abandon him and him app. It no longer works as it used to, doesn't mark messages as read and it's a proverbial pain in the rear. Hope I can find another app as good.

Doesn't work as expected on Lollipop: everything works great except that it's absolutely impossible to make custom notifications per contact. The app automatically returns to the main screen when trying to customize the notification... too bad, that was this specific function I needed. As there doesn't seem to be any update anymore, I have no choice but uninstall.

I was trying it out due to Samsung pulling a dumbass move and removing the custom text notification option on there SMS messenger. This app came highly recommended, but unfortunately it failed to work consistently. Custom sounds only once in awhile, and it fails to notify me who actually text me. Got my hopes up after a good review, then crushed them upon actual use.

I love this app but I have one gripe. When I receive 1 message, it always say 2 new unread messages in the pull down bar. If I recieve 2 messages, it says there are 3 unread messages. Basically it always says +1 the amount of messages I really have, so I can never just read the message in the down bar because I have to click it to open the messages app to view it.

App works(ish). Really needs updating to support notification channels in Android 8 Oreo. Currently unable to remove duplicate banner notification along with messaging app.

This app does a lot, but the customized vibration patterns by contact is what makes this a great app for me. I had this on my GS6 and lost it when I switched carriers, very happy I found it again.

I love this app and recommend to everyone. My only down side is that the style of it seems like it hasn't been updated since 2.3 gingerbread.

Update. This no longer consistently works. Most of the time the notifications disappear before I see them. They will reappear days later after I've missed an important text.

It worked so well for the first few months. Now it won't notify me 75% of the time when a text comes thru.

This app WAS great - until a bunch of old texts now also popup when a new text comes through. Ugh. So frustrating. PLEASE FIX!! This app is great. On my Samsung S8 I couldn't get my messaging app's pop-up to work correctly. SMS Pop-up was the answer!! It's clean, simple and works flawlessly. Thanks!

Just got new phone & can't get sms popup to work, using P30 pro, is this app not supported any longer

Great app when it works. Custom led color is nice but notification tone is hit and miss on sounding for incoming messages.

Custom settings doesn't work with contact who has a number with letters (bank notifications etc)

AMAZING. Ever since the Oreo 8 update, I don't have custom text notifications for certain contacts anymore. Not only does this app give me the ability to do that again, I also get to customize LED color! Nice!
