SMSToExcel Backup SMS in Excel
- Backup SMS Messages in Excel 97-2003 format.
- Choose a scheduled time to automatically backup.
- Option to backup only the messages sent to/from the person in your phone’s contacts list.
- Delete SMS Messages in your phone.
- Upload the backup files to Dropbox/Google Drive and download backup files from Dropbox/Google Drive.
- Password protect your backup files.
- Support 60000+ messages. Excel 97-2003 spreadsheet has a row limit of 65535. If your phone has more than 65535 messages, the app can export them into multiple files.
- View all messages or conversations in an Excel file.
Please note that this app does not support MMS (Picture/Audio/Video) messages.
This app provides same features as Pro version except advertisements. It requires the Internet permissions to display the Ads. If you do not want ads you can buy the pro version from the Market.
For those phones with inbuilt storage the default backup location will probably be the internal storage card, If you want to store the files on external storage card, please change the default export folder in the app’s setting page.
If you forgot the password of your file. sorry we have no ability to help you recover it. so please keep your password safe.

Did exactly what it was supposed to. I did have to grant the permission and install from external source, but I figured I might as well since my phone was on its last legs and I REALLY wanted to keep my messages. Nothing nefarious seems to have happened, so I'm giving 5 stars.
Nice app backup all sms in just few seconds and shared it in email also. its export unicode language also. no need to keem personal messages in device. just backup and export it to mail and than keep it safe. 👍😍

This App is Simple yet Significant. It backs up all the SMSs into an Excel file without any complications.
Failed to function. Needed to allow an unsecured download before it would continue to export task. Not going to happen.
doesn't work. asks to download full function app. on downloading nothing happens. Unable to export. uninstalling.

Difficult to set up default to sd card. Crashed first time I used it
Best app to backup n restore sms. Just use descending option if u want sms in chronicle way
it force u to download another app from another source and only saves outgoing messages

From 5 🌟 to 0. Why would you remove permissions and make an app obsolete without notifying its users or including it in the app description. EDIT I've tried to download it at least 20 times since the change and it never works. Plus there are 20 apps that work so I switched
Very rudimentary app. Failed to save all sms into excel. Also does not capture the sms you sent, only the ones you received.
Excellent light app! @Dev: would be GREAT if you could add an option to save SMSes containing specific keywords only. That would help for example in selecting only credit card SMSes.
It didn't export senders texts. It only exported my texts, which made it worthless. I searched but couldn't find an option or a setting to correct that.
Complete garbage. I was trying to pull up a simple set of 600 or so SMS in Excel. Apparently this thing can't handle it.
Looks good. But it was unable to find files on my Google drive page even after getting in far enuf to access the folders.
actually worked, though i manually copied excel spreadsheet to sd card, then was able to see all messages on my pc.
Simpel. Intuitive. Its just what i wanted. Exported sms to dropbox and google drive. Even hebrew sms worked. Great app. 5 stars
Unable to export unsaved contact or non-numeric sender SMS..!
This app good, but only 4000 SMS backing up,.. waste of time
It worked great for years. Unfortunately it does not work with android version 8.0 (in galaxy S9). It only backs up incoming texts, NOT outgoing texts. Half the conversation is useless, making this app useless and outdated. I contacted the developer, he replied that there must be a glitch in android. Sorry, but I think the glitch is in this app.
