Snake '97: retro phone classic

Faithful recreation, though there's a weird glitch where the game freezes for a split second when you would normally lose, which allows you to correct yourself.

Very nostalgic and I love that you can choose the phone style. It replicates the version of snake that type of phone had, very cool!

Woah. Takes me right back. I am honestly blown away. I had a nostalgia moment about snake on my old nokia. I was 10 or 11 and i played this into the ground. So kudos to the creators and designers of this. Almost gave me tears. Thank you

Exactly what it says on the box, so to speak. I've looked for this game for eons and I was very happy to have it, it has the original Snake I remember and it also includes the option to change the skin of the phone to newer Nokia models, which also changes the version of Snake you play. That's a really nice touch. Another nice touch is the light tactile feedback. When you press a key on the screen, the phone will vibrate slightly, which adds to the authenticity of the experience. Light ads.

The arrow buttons are only supposed to move the snake in one direction like up button is supposed to make left turns and the down button is supposed to make right turns how the hell are you supposed to play this if the same up button moves it in both directions that is not how this game used to work my mom still has one of these phones n i play it this is all wrong

At first startup the game doesnt load in, even tho i have a strong internet connection. Idk what graphics take so long to download. Tried it on wifi and data. No use

A nice time waster and extremely fun! I really like the nokia aesthetic, i know that there is alot of ads but i turn off my wifi and the problem is solved!

Great game for passing the time, anyone who had a 3210 back in the day will feel right at home as it's a close a possible to the original but there is a game breaking bug in snake 1, on occasion the head of the snake will pass through the barrier to appear on the opposite side. Only reason it's not 5 stars

Exactly how these games are meant to be played. Most other ports either mess up controls or they forget to add the delay that's supposed to be there on snake ii before registering a hit. This has been the only one to get it completely right and also bundle multiple versions.

I like the game has a vintage feel but a arrow pad would improve this game so much in the controls if I still had the ole Nokia brick it wouldn't be an issue but all and all its a great game strait to the point and exactly how I remember it

Just like old school....but was easier with the buttons on phones, touchscreen is harder! Lol!

Great throw back to one of the best games ever! This edition with world wide rankings is a dream I never thought would be possible comimg true. Now I can really see how my skills stack up against other snake enthusiasts! So glad I found this! The ads are few and unintrusive. Thanks for making this possible.

Perfect. It even has different versions of snake and different phone designs to choose from. They had my first cell on here and the same version of snake with all the original settings options. Nostalgic. Surpassed expectations. Thank you.

Brought back a some real good memories of those old phones! Cool app, thanks for the laugh! BTW, clear graphics, and some fun options. If your looking for something to pass the time while waiting in line or just a quick game, this is great to have.

Way way too slow to load. Also there is an occasional lag which runs the game play

This app truly brings back memories. Gameplay is your usual Snake, in different editions (Snakes 1 and 2 included). Worth a try for the casual gamer. As for problems, nothing really, except that some may get bored easily after several tries. Download it for the 3310 nostalgia.

Good concept, but it is too easy to miss-press a button and go to a different direction and lose. Happens way too often, also quite uncomfortable to play when on a larger phone.

Once you figure out the controls it's great use 1. 3. Left & right use 2. 8. Up & down they can make it much easier to figure that out by putting that in the settings or something

This really takes me back to waiting in the car at a grocery store. Graphics are just like the original, play is essentially the same, and you even get to pick what kind of "classic cell phone" you want to play it on. Of all the games I've ever played on my phone, this one is the most valuable to me.

Best Versio of snakes on a smart phone Every! I love that you can choose a different phone to really play into your young memories. All the original sounds are there too and it has the authentic feel of the game. Well done to the developers!

Exactly like the old game, rather than the new swipe system. Like you will find on snake 2. Adds do NOT get in the way. I cant think of a single thing wrong with the app, thanks for this developer! ❤

my favorite part is how real the image on the phone is. keys wore off of scratch on the word Nokia. i felt like i was 13 with my first phone so nice to escape especially with all the chaos of the world lately. perfect effects. fantastic app. i cannot thank you enough

The best retro-Snake app, IMO. Includes Snake and Snake II and has that nice retro feel. I do wish there was an option to buy an ad-free experience, though.

Exactly as advertised. This is the classic snake. No added gimmicks or complicated game play. No intrusive ads. This is as basic as it gets, and I love it.

I used to play snake all the time on my dad's old phone when I was a kid. This brings back some fun memories. I love how true to life the difficulty is made by having the old looking keypad as the controls. I literally play this all the time now lol.

This game is just awesome!! I loved it since the first game, it brought so many memories back!! No adds so far
