Works well with my Umidigi F1 (Mediatek Helio P60). Provides access to API2 features not available in the stock app. RAW support was removed with the last update. I got it back with this app. It's a cheap phone with a cheap camera. This app makes a difference in the quality of pictures. The post processing feature makes up for the deficiencies of this camera. I just set it on autocolor. Night mode works badly with this phone while it works much better with the stock app. I never use that much so this will be my default camera. The GUI is brilliant. One of my main gripes with many stock camera apps is you need ballerina fingers to change settings and you have to dig into submenus and back out. This is the most accessible and intuitive GUI I've come across.
You must work harder to want money for this, because OpenCamera is free and nearly the same functionality. When i change the autofocus to continuous, then i close the program and open again the focus mode is back to auto. Also in focus mode auto you must tap too fast to focus. The long tap quick menu: the items are too close to each other and too sensitive in a way. HDR doesn't add detail to the brightest spots and it should. When i take a photo it appears with a big delay in the gallery. In general using the application gets annoying very fast
The most technically complete camera app I have found, with a user interface which is better than most. Plenty of options to make it work how you want (e.g. HDR and low light function). Minor criticism: manual on Web site is out of date and has some Samsung features described that are not in app but must be in API because other apps have them. Nevertheless, congratulations to Martin, the developer, and please don't give up on it.
Seems buggy, but it's the only way to prevent overprocessed photos (aggressive noise reduction, etc.) without rooting your phone. The one thing it doesn't seem to work with are multi-lens cameras, like the new Xiaomi Note 10 -- I can't figure out any way to switch to the telephoto lens. Also -- and this is pretty serious -- it seems to be impossible to contact the developer. Can't find an email address anywhere.
On my new Android 8 phone, the app records video (mp4) at 4x the speed and audio at the normal speed, so at playback, after 1/4 of accelerated movie, the last scene freezes and the sound plays further. Annoying! Also, I can't use the full 18:9 screen, instead, I get a black stripe at the botom of the screen (portrait) or to the side (landscape)
This app is phenominal on my LGQ6 phone, the features are endless. I've been waiting a long time to find the perfect camera app and this one is by far the most complete yet. Its like holding a professional camera in your hands. 5 stars to the developper and the people who made this possible. Beautifull work!!!
Simple, elegant and feature rich. A beautiful app. The camera mode dial is simply awesome. It gives very tactile feel by giving a slight vibration. The major part is. I have a Xiaomi Note 8 Pro & no other app has yet been able to shoot RAW with it. Even though it has camera 2 api, no other app can shoot raw in this camera.. but snap camera somehow can !! With full manual control and raw shoot, I am happy beyond limits. It would be awesome to shoot in raw in full 64mp though. It limits to 16mp.
The app is continuously freezing after approximately 15 to 20 pictures. Even freezing in the middle of a picture. Finding myself repeatedly uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Fix this issue, it has been ongoing for at least 6 months.
I have an S7 Edge and this is the only camera app other than Google Camera port that has a usuable HDR mode ...I've tried all of them free and paid. Slightly tweaked HDR on this (after 300+ shorts: coarse contrast 1, fine contrast 7-8, overexposure 4.5, underexposure 0, saturation 2-3, ghost removal 9) with just 2 shots kills (sharper better lit photos) the Google Camera port for my phone in very low light shots (Google Camera become unusable due to noise and purple tint). I good lighting GCam looks a bit more natural, has more dynamic range (but it is a very thin line before the dark areas get noise and purple hue) and works instantly ;-). So your app should be as hyped as GCam - awesome work!!!
Back in 2013, 2014 aprox, this app was amazing, much better than original camera app. But, in 2021, on my Xiaomi 11 Lite NE, it's takes photos perfect, but if i edit it's remaining on Saving, and the photo is lost. I see that last app update was in January 2018, almost four years ago. So sad that i have to abandon this app.
Buggy with SD card. Features send fine but when I switched storage to the SD card it put a message up saying I needed to insert an SD card and wouldn't let me take pictures. I'm actively using the SD card with other apps, including other camera apps I've tried.
On my Xiaomi tablet Marginz Software camera app yield very low resolution "Panoramic" photos, like all other third-party camera apps. These are very grainy at only ~600-pixels high (on a camera that can produce over 4000). Otherwise, Snap Camera HDR works much better that all other camera app I've tried so far (most of the popular referenced ones & then some).
This app is packed with lots of options, but finding them it's little tricky. The video quality is horrendous. Looks like those VHS from the 80's. That's why I rate it 2 stars.
This is the only camera app that makes my Moto e4 camera pictures look good. Being able to preset settings such as contrast, saturation and brightness are just incredible. Thank you for the amazing work on this app!
Only camera that works with Manual Mode + RAW on Redmi Note 8 Pro. But this app badly needs an update. UI is still buggy and takes forever to create long exposure shots compared to other raw capable apps. Good buy still.
This is an extremely versatile camera app. It puts many options before you and makes photos easy to edit. Excellent options for movies as well, including slow motion.
[NEW REVIEW, 010322, Av11, A505U1] this was my main app but now because of the fact that Android has been updated to Android version 11 from 10, and a lot of the new updates have been out, and the fact the original app owner has not updated the app this app is becoming bugged on Android version 11 because of the fact that the file remapping has been changed. I hope the original owner realizes that this app has been out of date and it needs updates very badly.
Poor apps. Open app it only 5 mins. My pixel 4a so hot 🔥. Once tick on camera 2 api then screen show 3 duplicate photos. It totally poor.
I've given up. While this looked a promising app to often the images are not saved. I've lost too many to be able to rely on it so no longer used.
Bought this quite a few years ago for my Samsung and at THAT time is was thee best but in 2021 on Android 10 Ui 2.5 this is absolutely diabolical and IMHO is now abandonware and whilst it was pretty cool on my S5 it's pretty much hopeless but may be cool on older phones. Having said all that it was only 3 bucks NZ and I've had much use on previous phones but time to say Goodbye to North Island NZ with SNAP.
Love the app, but. Doesn't utilize all the cameras on back of phone. Doesn't allow the 48mp camera. Macro camera doesn't work.
Works well and enhances the quality of my (rooted) Xperia X compact. Funny thing is that the trial version "only starts immediately" if you are *not* connected to the Internet (which is the normal sate of my phone!). Bought it nevertheless...
Rubbish. I finally got everything set up then it says parameters failed restore default. Been through it three times shame as this looks like a quality app
I believe that the team of developments should give more control to manually setting in interface graphics.
No updates since January 2018, it's not working properly on OnePlus 7T Pro( McLaren edition) I've been using this for years on my S8 Plus without a problem but not on my new phone.
All good but Raw photos. It will save dng pics if taken with front camera only. Hope it get fixed, since if taken with back camera, photo won't have format.
Lately it freezes after about 4 photos, then it often fails to save photos. Also switching to panorama mode takes a long time. I don't know where the problems are coming from as it didn't have these issues when I got it. I like the app and would love to see these issues fixed or find out what is causing them. I save to micro SD rather than the phone's internal storage.
