Basic remote for Samsung. Needs options to be added for pictures resolution, storage , switch to video camera. to be really useful
A have had a remote for about 3-4 years if not longer, it still works and Im very happy to see this app is still available for it.
This app works a treat and i got a remote and a stand from the pound shop never looked back amazing add to it if ya like devs but its fine for what it is lovely job 👍👍👍
Excellent in selfie mode in getting a rear view image as seen. otherwise will turn out mirrod image.
Do not waste your time buying the remote. This app doesn't work!
Simple device that does what it says. I love it.
I love it it work I got button remote to my Samsung galaxy tab sent to camrea
Can't have it on my desktop why
It's nice to have the remote but It would be A LOT better if could be used with snapchat where a majority of the pictures and videos are taken. Also really wish I could use the default camera app that came with my phone. Please fix these problems and I will be able to fully recommend this product to all my friends and family.
Good idea but there is no option to use basic camera facilities such as zoom. The actual app doesn't provide this it's simply a remote to fire the shutter. You can't even make adjustments using the phone. All you can do is change the camera from forward to facing. Put some more basic options in and the rating will go up
Wow, now I see why the Snap Remote button was clearance priced. It ONLY works with this app, and this app has almost no settings. It can't take video, I don't see any way to change resolution, and you can't adjust exposure or white balance. Perhaps worst of all, there's an appreciable lag between the button push and the photo being taken!
I bought the snapper to use as a Bluetooth device, its not that at All, its a simple high pitch buzzer and only this app uses the microphone in your phone/tablet. They even had the cheek to print Bluetooth logo on the box. After a few seconds I opened the case to inspect the circuit board to confirm it has no Bluetooth at all, just a simple 8 pin micro like a ATmega in circuit design a led and buzzer and 2 buttons. Cheap and very tatty.
The description on back of selfie remote box mentions Bluetooth but it does not use Bluetooth. The app was taking photos even with Bluetooth on my phone disabled! Opening the remote up reveals an 8 pin IC (most likely a microcontoller) connected to a piezo speaker. No evidence of a Bluetooth antenna. The app requests for microphone access. It is simply listening for a high pitched beep from the remote. No pairing. And other high pitched sounds from the environment could set the app off. No chance your other photo taking apps will ever support this remote.
Beware with the remotes sold on the market using this app. You may waste your money with them. Nice concept but chances that it works are only 10%. Let's say you'll probably get 1 shot out 10 attempts. You'll get annoyed right after using the remote with this app.
I bought a remote selfie stick and when i press the remote button, sometimes there is a long delay before the shutter snaps. Sometimes as long as 20 second delay. I would love it if you could fix this then I'd give a higher rating.
Very simple to connect and trustworthy. However the app has tpo limited use because user can't even select image ratio or exposure compensation.
You cannot password protect it so anyone with the same remote can take photos on your phone. It would be far better to use a Bluetooth pairing method, which would both secure the connection and allow the the phone's built-in camera to be used.
This is perfectly functional on my Xperia Z1 Compact running lollipop. My only, and serious complaint is that takes photos at the camera's absolute minimum 8 MP setting.
It didn't work at first I took the battery out of the remote and put it back in still nothing. So I switched the battery in backwards and it didn't work however when I put it back in the right way it works fine!
Just wanted my money on this honestly, I was hoping to use any camera I wanted in any app but I'd rather just use my Selfie stick button
Great app that works well. But if had video would be even better, and get 5 stars
I bought this power bank which have selfie function builtin. Did not knew that that it was not a Bluetooth remote. It uses apps like these. I don't wanna use these app but use my builtin camera app with a simple Bluetooth remote.
Wish I'd been able to read these reviews prior to purchase. Not only am I unable to use this with my other camera apps, but their damn app doesn't even take video! The whole purpose of the thing was to take videos. Ugh.
Not bad, you can't zoom, view or edit the cameras resolution. On the other hand my cousin loved to play with the remote.
Only paid £1 for the snap remote and extra easy to set up and use 2 clicks and I was snapping away so got to give it 5 *****
Works pretty well. Biggest issue is the quality of the picture. Its very poor, and would be best if we could take pictures on the galaxy S5's installed camera.
This app is very easy to use but there is no function for setting the camera, e.g. picture quality, ISO.
Doesn't even work, and yet I bought a new battery like the instructions said would fix the problem. Not worth it, even for the three bucks
Sorry! I've revised my review. It refuses to start without permission to record audio, which alarmed me. Turns out it has a use for it. But it still doesn't work on my Samsung A10e, which means the $20 non-refundable remote control I bought is useless, as it doesn't work with any other software.
