I used it for both my Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5 then updated to Android Lollipop and could no longer use it. Then you released a version for Lollipop and was very happy about it till I installed it and found my battery drained faster than ever before. Fix it. Until you do I won't be using it.
Just installed 5 or 6 days ago for my 1+2 and after having being in learning mode has been fully functional since yesterday Seems like it is really saving battery . I was really impressed on how fast the battery got charged... On thing though that I emailed them is that I would like the snapdragon logo on top left to always show the battery level instead of the snapdragon logo. That would be a great option instead of the default Android one
This worked great on my Note 3. Seems to work well on my Note 4 as well but the Manage Wifi setting is completely broken, as reported by several other users. I'll just use my phone's power saving mode and keep an extra charger in my car just in case I do get low.
This feature really drained my LG G3’s battery just on the 3rd day of learning. And I notice that it just doesn’t turn on the Wi-Fi for a few minutes. As long as I’m in a Wi-Fi zone, it’s permanently turned on which causes battery drain. Please just remove this feature. Uninstalling for a while.
The app was great and I learnt a lot from the app. However, past few days the phone died completely in the mornings. I'd leave my phone with around 50% battery before I sleep. I wake up and find the phone has 0% and have to charge the phone in the morning to full again. I think this might be to do with the inactivity settings.
This app does save battery but not so much that I couldn't imagine life without it. With that being said there is no reason not to get it if you have a Qualcomm device as you'll get a few more minutes, or possibly hours, with it. However I believe there is a bug where you cannot turn off the app manging your WiFi. This isn't a deal breaker since you can always make the time before it begins to manage your WiFi after you manually change it longer but it is a relatively simple bug that should be fixed.
So far on my HTC One m8 this app is amazing. I've had a problem with Google services draining my battery. The app so far has solved the problem. I use about 1% of battery in an hour now while my screen is off compared to around 5-8%. I will update if I notice any differences
The software itself is great, but this update removes the "low power mode" widget was extremely useful when you knew ahead of time you wont be able to charge it for awhile. It was used frequently by me. Since it was one button optimization. I'm not going to waste space with that widget bar either
I keep turning off the setting to control when WiFi turns on and off automatically being as it doesn't quite work with my schedule... no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall, restart, etc. It keeps turning the feature on and it's really annoying... other than that it's ok
Well once it's gotten past learning everything it needs, it extends your battery life. Minimal improvements for myself, probably because WiFi management doesn't work for me. Low power mode is rather annoying when it's automated, and set too high. Still very good. The recent update might, might, have halved my battery life. I say might because I was getting 4+ days before, and I'm getting 2 and a bit now. Couldn't tell if it was because of changed usage or the app. Third time resetting it to relearn my usage
My app is has learned the usage since last 2 days, till now app refresh shows 0% sync managed. No low power mode has been activated since learning. Also wifi is continually on. This App has stopped doing what it does earlier. Having Xperia z1 with lollipop, Plus I wanna say is add feature to control other apps to along with refresh apps just like stamina mode in Sony, power saving mode in Lenovo. I used both modes and work on same theory. Then it will become the best intelligent power saving app.
It was supported on my Nexus 4 when it was running on Android 4.4 version but after updating the device to android lollipop, it says my device is incompatible when I am trying to install this app on my Nexus 4. Hence I am giving it only 2 stars.
It takes about 4 days for this app to learn about routine. After it, even if I turn off "Wi-Fi Management", it keeps handling it. Turns on WiFi in middle of the night, which makes my phone ring because of emails! Using OnePlus 2. Developers please respond on this! It's not saving my preference turning off Wi-Fi management.
I used this app on my old galaxy s3 and it works even better on my new LG g4! Not only does it extend the battery life but it fixes the stock LG screen dimmer that always drops the brightness to zero. Thanks for exceeding my expectations, this is a great companion to a quality product.
This seems to be among the few programs which actually do more good than harm in the name of "battery saving". It actually saves battery, unlike many others. Requires a snapdragon, obviously. Pretty aggressive if allowed and switches off lots of stuff (mostly not required) to do the saving.
I was pretty sceptical during the 'learning period', but once that was done I really see better battery life. I can keep my apps and not bother with some of them draining my battery. Note to all who complain, get a charger or a power bank during the first week then let it works its way... And this comes from someone who never actually used battery or 'optimization' apps
Doesn't follow its own directives. I use my phone for tethering very often, but this stupid app keeps turning on my wifi (shared in my building with other occupants which is slower than my mobile LTE) when I'm using my phone for tethering and requiring the faster 4G connection. I've turned off the wif management feature, but it keeps turning back on by itself. I had to uninstall this thing because of that. It does do a good job of battery management otherwise, but this was a deal-breaker for me.
First u have to wait for days in order to get this app start its work. Before installing this app i was getting one day use of battery. During its learning period it screwed my battery. I have to charge my cell twice a day. Couldn't bear it for more than 3 days. Just a crap. Not recommended at all
This app will control your wifi turning it on at random inconvenient times. There's an option to turn this feature off but it doesnt work. Judging from other reviews this has been a problem for a while. Doesnt save enough battery life to justify using on lgg3
I just installed this app, im at 100% on my battery. I have a Samsung s5, not rooted. I will give it a try, a week, to let it do its thing. If i see a decent improvement in my batterys life, i will up the rating. I also use DU battery saver, i hope it dosnt affect the operation of either app.
It does what it says, but is not that great and or useful, needs some improvements, keeps turning my WiFi on, on WiFi networks that I can't connect to, which causes more energy to be spent, and is a bit annoying, but does in fact help save some energy regardless of the flaws that need correction, overall is not that necessary, without the App, the energy on phone is almost the same durability, no major differences.
This is an early observations review. I have hope this will work. How needed it will be after android M I don't know. It doesn't seem to display all my apps. Will update in coming weeks if I notice any battery drain or gain. So far googles battery meter doesn't even register it. It seems like this app could use a few more customization features, but I will continue to test it out for a few weeks to allow for the learning phase of the app
Excellent way to make your smartphone stay 'smart' and yet last longer App makes your smartphone last longer between charges. After a week or so, the increase in the battery life is very noticeable with no drop in performance or app refresh (leaving 'inactivity power boost' on will stop app refresh).[update: the app is not that useful with Android 5.0+. Minimal optimizations, barely useful. I would recommend sticking to it only if you are running KitKat or older]
3 factory resets, a hand full of rude calls to Verizon trying to get a phone that worked after lollipop, months of frustration, and accepting I now owned a piece of crap. I love my phone again and forgot how awesome it is. uninstalled battery guru and rebooted. Lg g3 came back like a champ.
