Disinformation! Not sure the logic behind creation of this app, but it will not show you the next closest train in 15 minutes, for example. Even if you ask it to show "earlier" options, it will not show it. Somehow the app considers you will not catch that train, it seems. Really annoying and disinformative.
Works well, but should I really need this just to show my train ticket? Every piece of information on the app is also in the PDF versions, and the scanners in the stations seem (while quirky) to work well with data presented on a smartphone display. Seems weird that this wouldn't be allowed to do by just showing the PDF file in your favorite PDF viewer. Seems like a weird way to drive app installations.
Was able to import tickets OK, but cannot set push notifications for journeys (important with the mess in Germany) - just get red error message ""Couldn't subscribe to push notification". If you can fix this it will be better. (Also, would be nice to be able to import tickets booked for me by an agent - not currently possible. )
The SNCB International App is NOT working at all. I had to uninstall the previous one, since it wasn't working at all. Unfortunately after reinstalling the app, it still doesn't work. Now I tried a 3rd time and still no success. I don't know if there is a technical malfunction of the app.
This is not for the app itself, but for the service by SNCB. The train I had booked to later catch an international flight, had got canceled, and there was no notification or any other communication to inform this to me. Had I not checked it myself in time, I would have been there on the D-day, running helter shelter to arrange for something else.
Cannot book tickets anymore via the page the app opens. Works well to show the qr code that the tickets come with. However, this feature is pointless as now the email comes with the qr code as default along with the pdf. When the app worked, it was decent and would open the default bancontact app to make the payment.
Slow and clunky, unable to set notifications, even after several retries and in different menu's (booked trip and train schedule itself) If you fix the speed and notifications, it would be at least be worth 4 stars.
It's been quite a while that i can't go to the timetables anymore. I press 'book tickets' and it just goes to an infinite loading screen. Please solve this issue. Kind regards
Useless for Interrail / Eurail. Requires creation of a new, separate account (with password required to be in insecure, non-standard long format which needs to be separately written down). Deleted.
Outdated and slow. It does the job but barely. Should be combined with the SNCB app.
App is alright but I am getting a Google capcha (select all matching images...) every time I do a single search and it's really annoying and time consuming.
Why on Earth does this app need permission to access photos and media on my device? Totally unnecessary. Barely gives any information pretty useless.
Lost my tickets after app update. Can't add my still valid tickets manually. Get an error with the message the tickets has been modified. But I didn't. So the app isn't usfull any more.
Selecting a journey was easy, purchase was smooth, tickets delivered instantly on the app, with a copy within a minute via email. Friendliness at stations is top notch, trains are punctual. On board the HST however, one arrogant and impolite French employee serving between Liege and Cologne could use a language course and some manners. Should you ever read this (you know who you are), being a part of a colourful minority should not exempt you from being a professional at your job.
They advertise the possibility to refund your ticket the day they are valid. If you do this you will get a confirmation email but the money won't actually be refunded. And they don't respond to support emails.
this is terrible. it takes a long time to respond to any actions. it's impossible to log into or upload tickets to. it flags errors for lots of actions. really really bad.
Not working at all, you can't login you can't add tickets even buying outside the app you can't do nothing!! It's been months this app is like that more than a year!! Stay away from it!
Useless app which doesn't give any info on delays, cancellations or platform numbers that seem to be constantly changing.
Paid for a ticket and never received it Pretty important if you ask me. Also when creating a password I had te recover my password 3 times and change it to the exact same one (should that be possible?) until I could finally log in
Want to buy a ticket, but when making seat reservations it keeps loading forever. I literally cannot purchase a ticket. Similar story on the website.
Uninstalled immediately as the app was asking access to my photos, contacts etc. Why a company selling train tickets needs all this personal data? No, thank you.
Not really user-friendly or intuitive, but it does what I want, book international train tickets
Very useful. Could have better support for showing timetables for multi step journeys as you now have to go back and forth from your ticket.
App does not start, and reading other comments it seems I'm not the only one who has this problem. shame on you NMBS. your apps are as crappy as your service.
I can't even login to my account, I am not able to write the last 3 characters of my password due to size limit at the login page.
Used it satisfyingly for years then for the past few months, I was unable to book tickets through the app, the button bringing up an error screen every time (often "error 503"). Being the essential feature, it is quite a problem as I had to go via the webpage directly. After 6+ months, I gave up on a fix. + Turns out that booking via the webpage is now faulty as well: the payment part opens an unclickable, buggy page, which forces me to switch to "desktop view"... So much for mobility...
