Nice try. The app worked well for me for a while; I even bought several tickets via the app, which worked well. Recently, the app stopped working. When searching for a connection or a station, it simply says "Error: Forbidden"... That's it... Closing the app and reopening doesn't help, nor does reinstalling it... An app can look good, but it fails to provide even the most basic utility: The timetable of a train connection. Rubbish.
PLEASE SHOW ALL TRAINS for the starting point and destination and departure time I select! The logic how the trains are selected which are/are not shown is not clear (I assume that the ones arriving later than another possible connection are filtered out?!), and I want to be able to make a choice myself without being patronised by an app! Now, when I decide to take an L-train to my destination, I'm not even able to look up when I will arrive, as the train is treated as non-existent by the app!!
Just downloaded it for purchase train tickets although quite worried after read the some reviews about the purchase problem. And I read the information about payment options, which only with credit cards. Fortunately, the purchases went well. And the payment options are more than only credit cards, but also PayPal and bank contact. The only problem I had, was as I edited my email address, but didn't notice that title is changed from Ms./Mrs. to Mr., so I purchased tickets with wrong title. Hopefully it will just fine. And as suggestions, maybe can make it easier by input the basic information, especially the birthday. It's end of December 2018, and I had to swiped quite a while to get my birth year. And a return ticket option would be good. And last, please update also the information about the payment options. Thanks a lot.
Pretty smooth and intuitive app. Sometimes small delays on the train delay updates but that's not the app's fault I guess! Just 1 thing bothers me and that's the lack of payment profiles! I've got the company Visa linked but if I want to pay with my private card, I'll lose the saved details of my company's card!! It would be awesome to still have the option to open a banking app!! Because I don't want to lose the details of my saved card I use a vending booth!! Very frustrating.
its generally good and functional. Lots of niggles: the app doesn't work brilliantly with bad signal, which makes it hard to show e-tickets to conductors- and verifying them is unreliable and slow for them. Also some inputs aren't correct, e.g. full keyboard shown for numeric values (cc# & cvn). and sometimes you scroll down to e.g. accept t&cs at the bottom of a panel, but validate the whole panel with a button top-right, so the flow is odd.
Bad user experience throughout. The app icon is only in French (SNCB) so you don't find it when searching NMBS. Confusing layout in the app. Notifications don't work. Storing routes offline rarely works (if you can even find how to do it). International trains are in a separate app with a different (but just as confusing) layout.
works perfect. two missing functions: 1. customer want to provide feedback to further add features or improve the tool 2. 1st class compartments are not announced on the app and that would be very helpful to know up front to the train's arrival (if you missed the audio announcement in the station then there is no were you can look for that info)
Displays tickets in order of purchase not by travel date. I accidentally bought a ticket twice, because I thought it was missing. The app could send a warning message, when you try sth like that. Doesn't display the selected or even possible journeys that day along with the tickets you bought, you have to check yourself again. The payment is cumbersome: if you make a mistake typing your credit card data, it will get stuck. 2 (and not 1) Stars because it has the minimal functions one expects.
Very often crashes on buying/showing bought tickets. Had one time where it charged me without giving a ticket. You should only use the app for train schedules, delays and general info. Must of the time. It's faster and more accurate than the data at the train stations. Just refrain from using it as a ticketing service.
App still seems to have a few problems with Android 10.. Can't seem to get travel information, it only results in a 'unable to retrieve data error(0)' or at least it does sometimes. But in general I like the app, only missing an account option, since uninstalling the app deletes all user info.
When travelling for domestic trips in Belgium this application is a must have. It includes public transport for (at least) the Brussels region, allows to buy a ticket directly in the app (not for subscriptions, but for individual tickets) so very efficient and very convenient. It also supports offline itineraries including on international trains with stops in Belgium. Very advanced compared to most neighbor countries.
If you are a regular traveller/commuter in Belgium, then you know timetables and you don't need this app. It is nice that it offers information about disruptions and works on the line, but whenever a disruption occurs, the information on the delay is completely inaccurate. It'd be lovely to attach a screenshot, now, to shiw how the app indicates 3 minutes delay whereas there are almost 20 minutes delay. So, unless you are on a direct train... You are lost.
Has many quirks, mainly with the back button. When e.g. showing your ticket, back returns you home instead of turning to ticket overview. nice if you have to show your ticket of your bike next. After purchasing a ticket, you have to click back all the way through the payment confirmation site, the payment app, the journey overview and journey planner before you can return to home. Great! the app does (eventually) let you use the train though. And it looks nice.
Unfortunately the app has many bugs and problems. It very often crashes... It very often doesn't let me buy a ticket or I need to try multiple times. Positive thing is that if the app charged you multiple times, it does seem that nmbs automatically pays you back.. but the overall experience with the app is very frustrating.
😔 Unfortunately, I never had a chance to achieve what the app was designed for, namely - buying tickets. First, it was giving random errors for 3 days in a row when trying to get to the "purchase/credit card details" screen. Then it let me through, charged my bank account, tossed some random "server error" at me and actually neither displayed the ticket in the app, nor sent me a confirmation email. Period. Gentlemen, you might be having some terrible issues with your payment gateway.
Functional, but the app is still far from optimal. The way delays are predicted and displayed on the "stops view" for example is just false (or ridiculously optimistic). Trains are supposed to miraculously make up for 10/15 min. delays in 3 or 4 stops, when usually it will instead keep its current delays at best (most of the time 5 min can be added). Also, the way ticket purchases work with the "primary passengers" and whatnot is confusing.
Generally happy with this app for traveling in Belgium. On the first set up they require date of birth, not fill-in format, but scrolling monthly calendar. I'm born in 1960 .... how many tapping did I made to reach my birthday callender... Ridiculous. They need to use fill-in format. Another issue was when I wanted to change payment method, app start to have a bug and I couldn't buy any ticket anymore. Uninstall and reinstall solved the issue, bit it should be much easy process to change payment methods.
It's not flexible enough. It would be better if you could see alternatives and suggestions when trains are canceled or delayed. Also the care for people who have problems to get on and off for several reasons is still a fault. Positive anyway is that your employees are doing their best and are eligible for an honest compliment. This from a daily traveler through Flanders in several directions.
Apps keeps crashing when I try to get to my tickets. A bug that could cost you 75€. Also, some tickets never get in there (that is, when you can access them), even if you damn well pay for them. Fixing this would be a good start lads
Aside from the fact that the nmbs FORCES people to use this app if they want to make use of their promotions. The app is incredibly slow, the purchasing process is bugged to hell (half the time the app won't let me purchase a ticket), has too many steps (I get that you want to verify I bought the ticket but don't make me select my birthday on a calendar)and if you take too long buying your tickets the app spits out an error and sends you back to the start. Fix your app for godsake!!
I bought a ticket online before getting into the train and when I was asked for it it didn't appear on "my tickets" and I recieved the email confirmation an hour later, so I couldn't prove that I bought it. The ticket collector got really upset, raised his voice to me and made me choose between a fine and paying it again like double the price. That was not fair and the app's fault.
Just ok, sometimes it works. And sometimes not. It has made me lose a few trains by displaying wrong times. So please check online to be sure. It really really sukcs to loose a plane because the app shows the wrong time.
Multiple issues when trying to buy tickets with the app. Sometimes you get an error, the money goes from your account but there is no ticket. I have to buy my ticket the night before, just to be sure that I have no stress in the morning. And even then it fails.. I hope I get my money back for the lost tickets.
poorly made app, better than before but still pretty bad, just like their trains punctuality. Also doesn't show the quickest journeys, only if you check yourself by searching multiple times on potential transfer stations you can find the fastest journeys.
Most of the app works fine (journey planning etc), but buying a ticket is almost always a problem - payment fails 9 times ouf 10 on either of two valid credit cards or two bancontact cards, with a good 4G or wifi connection. Very frustrating.
Every time I want to use it I have to force a restart because it's always in a bugged state when I re-open the application. Transactions could be quicker as well, maybe save Paypal accounts? Rebuying a ticket should only take a tap.
You broke it. Take out the function to buy tickets through the app until it has been tested more and fixed. Lost two tickets already. Money left my account, I received the confirmation email but the app still says "waiting for payment" and "payment failed".
The app is really useful for getting the departures and arrivals and if you only use it for that than its a really decent app. However, there is one feature the app has and it's not reliable at all. The ticket purchasing. It constantly crashes while you're trying to buy a ticket and it can even result in getting charged for the ticket but not receiving it (which has happend to me twice and i rarely use this app to buy tickets) Of course, the app does warn you when there was a problem and if you try again it won't charge you if you have paid already. But I feel like most people will just try a different way to purchase the ticket and end up paying double. So my advice on using this app. Try to avoid purchasing tickets because it might not be worth it (Also i do keep in mind that maybe my phone might not be ideal but i feel like they really need to update this feature so you don't get screwed over just because you can't afford the newest iphone or something)
