Very annoying that the app keeps reloading (from the internet) the tickets that should be cached locally. Makes for a sub-par experience when being controlled in the train and the connection is spotty. Also, it would be nice to have connection information in the app when we need to switch stations (for example between Montpellier St Roch and Montpellier Sud de France). It's annoying when you don't know the city and have to figure out the tram network or whatever.
Things seems to function pretty well, and the interface has improved. However, planning a trip to the airport resulted in route from Paris by bus. Maybe there is a problem with the B? No. Opening of Citymapper, the full route, including the direct train to the airport was the top result. It begs the question of what else are they getting wrong? Update: I thank the developers for getting back to me. The trip was from Orgerus to CDG 1, taking the N at 13h15.
There is one thing I want to do in a train app. Only one: Buy a ticket. It is not possible, I am redirected somewhere else. I always thought German digitized train infrastructure is bad, but looks like everyone has homework to do. (fun fact: the TRAIN app now tells me to take a CAR, ... next to a train station) (fun fact 2: there seems to be another app not highlighted in the Store - but it has advertisement in it 😥 - and an increase from massive 50 to super massive 70 MB 😥😥)
Crikey this app is so annoying you can look up a route, ok, but then you can't make a booking?? When you go into purchase it's only for regional train or to book a taxi/bus/whatever but I can't book a train from Paris to another region??? Vraiment la scnf regardez ce qui se fait comme app ailleurs en Europe/au UK c'est vraiment une honte un system aussi confus.
Hope you to give us the possobility to buy tickets directly from the application. More preferable also to view the relavance offers.
It includes random unnecessary amounts of time for waiting and boarding the train when planning the route. Often when I go through the process of buying a ticket on the app I get to the last step and the app glitches and I have to re-enter all my information. Unnecessary bus routes added and misses trains off the schedule. I have to filter the mode of transport each time, won't save preferences. The amount a delay displayed for a late train is often inaccurate, unreliable.
The last update made is absolutely awful, everything is slow, error popups happen all the time, and it doesn't feels responsive.
This app updates quite fast and accurate the information. There was one time the platform was not displayed on big screen due to technical bug, but the app already updated. The visualisation is nice, simple but applicable. There's only one thing which I think should be improved. It takes long time to delete the ticket which you cancel so when I cancelled and bought another tickets, sometimes I got confused between two tickets for the same train, but different seats.
The worst app for trains I encountered so far in comparison to the German DB navigator or the excellent Swiss SBB mobile. Non intuitive UI, no information about platforms, a lot of non essential information, no integration of international delays/platforms. In short, seems to have been developed from oufashioned design ideas (like the SNCF, see pricing system). My advice: if you don't have to buy tickets, the Swiss app will do way a better job, even within France.
What the point of this app if you can't buy tickets on it? Waste of time. Uninstalled. Get your act together SNCF. Make it easy. And make it easy to take bikes on trains too.
Absolute useless. Have to know the region to find a city....why? Way too many clicks required, and no link between trips and buying a ticket. Poor design. Perhaps sncf should check with their German or Swiss counterparts before trying to invent the wheel again. I uninstalled this app after 5 minutes. Pity but I guess it's back to the equally useless and super slow ticket machines.
This app doesn't work for Chrome OS. It starts and stops automatically. Only thing I can see before it turns off is that it detected my device as Iphone while it is a laptop on Chrome OS. So to sum it up, it just doesn't work at all.
Looks like a good app but the check out hasn't been translated to English though so it's kinda unusable. We were charged 50 euros on the train for not having tickets too which is a total scam although not entirely related to the app. Imo if an app is available in a certain region then it should be properly translated.
Unhelpful as always! From Villeneuve-St-Georges to Gare de Lyon. The train VOPA of 13h24 disappear! So unhelpful! It has happened several times. When I got to the train station to take the train shown in the l'app, the e-bulletin on the platform showed there's no that train and l had to wait another 15 minutes for next one. P.s. I was definitely not late.
It doesn't have an option to buy a regular ticket anymore (it used to have it and I used to use it all the time to buy my tickets) due to this option being removed from the app today I got a 50 eur fine because by the time I figured out one couldn't buy a regular ticket on this app anymore, a controller came and fined me. What a shame SNCF!!!!
it's a beautifully designed app.
Fantastic and easy to use!
Not useful and the info provided is not correct. Even when the traines are delayed or cancelled it advises to take them. Complete waste. SNCF in general is a waste of space so is the application. Oui jai pris une photo aujourd'hui juste pour vous mais je n'arrive pas à la télécharger. In addition, I have plenty of examples how the application is incorrect but it will take forever to list them all. Only one, to change in gare Austerlitz from Rer C to the line 10 does not take 3 minutes
The QR code never loads when you are about to board the train. It takes so long I have to ask for assistance most times. I have resorted to screenshot the QR code in advance to be ready for my trip... This issue has happened to me reliably for a year across both this app, OuiSNCF app and occasionally the web browser too!
If you speak french, this app is good ! Otherwise it is NOT helpful with current situation ! There are currently restrictions on using public transport at certain hours but we dont know if this applies to all modes of public transport or to some ? Not very hepful as you may very likely get a big fine for using public transport in wrong time !
Difficult to purchase a ticket as you need to know the region of the country for the city you just selected!!! why? you have already entered the beginning and end of the journey! the purchase instructions form are not in English even when the app setting is English. poorly done.
One of the slowest apps. Couldn't buy a train ticket in Nouvelle Aquitaine using a nouvelle Aquitaine carte solidaire. After 4 hrs, once my ticket purchase came up, in the app but via the TER website, I had to screenshot the QR code to download the image. No download possible... something absolutely necessary when traveling in and out of mobile signal. Not only that, but the purchased ticket DOESN'T even stay in the app. You have to have a www phone connection to access the ticket every time!
The app frequently crashes on start. Functionalities that should be available according to the online FAQ simply aren't there. Tickets are sometimes deleted when you close the app so don't rely too much on that.
Too heavy to operate properly on many wifi, not streamlined enough to be functional, too many colours, some duplication with OuiSNCF making both apps necessary when one should be enough. Trainline much better.
Nice app but useless when data for trains is not correct. Same happened last year already. Then how can I buy a weekly or monthly pass for TER trains? Please look at SBB app of Switzerland. It is top. Yours remains a disappointment. Today one train listed, got there, no train there. Then wanted to show train listed to SNCF personnel and it is no longer in app. I have screenshots. Then SNCF personnel tells me to use oui.sncf for correct times of train leaving. What the hell?!
V. Good , helpful We visted Paris nd use this one app only during travel.
Good application, relatively intuitive, easy to use and saves us time looking at printed schedules. Eco friendly (although and as almost evey platform, eco friendly from one point of view and less from another.) To be tested for regular use. A slight margin for improvement yet can be considered regarding saving favorites for example.
