I downloaded this app to watch the latest episodes of snl but it appears that I'm supposed to download the NBC app to do that. I guess it's pretty cool to be able to scroll through old episodes and clips but this app is oddly laid out, difficult to navigate, and won't even let you watch last night's episode without having to download another app. Deleted the app from my phone.
Lately, there's been been a problem with this app. There's been a bug in the app itself. When I tried to go to landscape mode when I search up and watch a sketch, it changes back to the sketch you see when you first open the app. I have to uninstall this app and please fix this issue ASAP!
The newer version of this app requires you to sign into an NBC profile to use it. Every time I try to create a profile, I encounter the error message, "unable to verify email address." I tried contacting NBC support, and they were useless. And I don't want to sign in using Facebook. So I can't use the app anymore.
Barely passable. Weekend Update is broken into segments which aren't even telling you which one first. Freezes and jumps and hard to watch. Many classic skits are missing. Don't waste your time.
This app is TRASH. One of the worst search functions I've ever seen, and so many bugs that I literally could not go a minute without running into a new and unique bug. Really needs some work.
its a lot of errors with this app. on favorites it's hard to select. it ask to you want to delete instead of playing. its difficult to stop the automatic video when you first start the app, very irritating.
crashes or glitches often. not a ton to choose from, especially the earlier years. not user friendly in terms of favoriting clips or scrolling through seasons, episodes, clips, etc.
it's not perfect, but it's snl content galore. in high quality. not some second hand you tube clip someone shot on their phone. searchable by season, episode#, host or just get the skits by your favorite actor.
keeps crashing for no reason, also the library has some old sketches removed, what's the point of downloading this app if you can't even watch older sketches. and no quality control. terrible app
App works great, and the early skits from the "Not-Ready-for-Prime-Time Players" are still crazy-funny! I watched a few om my phone with my younger son (born late 80s), and he thought they were as funny as I did. Great comedy never gets old, and SNL is still the best!"
Can't watch it sideways on my Samsung Galaxy S3. Will not rotate to wide screen. Fix this please and I might give a better rating. Makes no sense to make an app that doesn't rotate. Like FB marketplace that doesn't rotate either.
The opening screen goes on for too long. The requirement now to provide an email address and agree to notifications is annoying. And they don't have all the skits. If SNL's official app doesn't have the skits, who does?
Just as a start this is not a bad review of Saturday Night Live as a whole. I love the fact that I can access a whole range of skits for free. The problem is it's very buggy. Please fix.
Pretty great app. It does redirect you to download the NBC app (if you want to watch full episodes) where you are required to create a login.
Nice to be able to search for scenes by an actor or guest host. Android store app entry name indexing appears to be broken, so minus 1 star, due to difficulty of finding & downloading in Android store.
Keeps crashing. Isn't indexed well: Looked up Mary Katherine Gallagher and only got 4 results? Love the idea, but not executed well. On lg v30 with good connection
BRING BACK THE SNL APP!!! I don't like that I have to go thru the NBC App to watch SNL clips and shows. The app was great! It had a library with classics I saw as a kid with my Dad. BRING BACK THE SNL APP!!!
I can't find what I am looking for it is extremely difficult to navigate and my searches yield nothing but the same search works on Google.
It would be great if you didn't have to use Facebook as a login. I got rid of Facebook months ago and have no intention of using it anymore. Why can't this app be linked to your Google or email accounts?
I used to love this app. Yeah, it was glitchy but you could watch so many old sketches. Now it wants me to make an NBC profile. Nah. I'll just delete it
This was a great app at one time why then this essity of having to create a profile was thrown into this didn't make any sense because it screwed up the works just keep it simple don't fix it if it ain't broke
Used this app happily for more than a year.. try to open it today and now it says you have to create an NBC profile or sign in through Facebook.. no skip or way around. Bye
Glitches and freezes regularly. Sometimes it plays different videos than what I click on.
If the shows are over the air, then you should be able to watch on your phone without having a cable subscription and be forced to use it.
The app wouldn't let me create a profile. It froze and wouldn't go to any videos. It was better before all this profile junk.
This app was really good when I first installed it about two years ago. Interface was clear/direct easy to navigate. But I recently obtained a new FIRE hd 8 tablet, and after downloading/installing, upon opening the app, it IMMEDIATLY runs the most recent episodes cold opening. I tap the menu bars and the app closes! So much for viewing options. Now I can no longer browse "past seasons" and watch some of my favorite sketches or episodes. Very disappointed.
