Initially stopped working with Android 11 but uninstall and reinstall fixed that. Currently doesn't find any patches for Android 11, as expected. Previously successfully tracked all Android 10 patches on my Pixel 3a w/o issue. 10/20/21 stopped working on newly installed Android 12; uninstall and reinstall but still fails creating results overview
I was able to confirm the security patch level, however the information could be presented in a nicer way. Also the was some major flickering going on which made it hard to evaluate, still I got the most part out of it, I think.
2015 Samsung tablet only updates for 2 years and patch check showed one missed patch. No Qualcomm chip so no other tools applicable. App description clearly tells you about permissions that you have to agree to and covers all of the negative review issues. Good graphic and allows display of unconfirmed results.
Great when it was current, but has gone dark for the latest Android versions. Too bad; it was useful to verify patching effectiveness of vendor issued updates.
It doesn't work. At a certain point you will be informed that unless you have a certain chip, you have no use for the app. And it's the certain chip, not a list of phones.
Ran the scan on my device. Got a sea of purple "Test Inconclusive"s and one single orange "After claimed patch level". Absolutely clueless as to what the takeaway is. I've learned nothing more after the test compared to what I knew before it!!!🥴
with the fdroid version, there's more a chance to get accurate results. hopefully snoopsnitch will be further improved, it's much needed.
I wish scanning would work on more than just Qualcomm chipsets, but I still think it's a good app and definitely a great concept.
Good way to keep tabs on what Android patches you may be missing. You can measure the security commitment your phone provider makes by seeing what patches they haven't issued for your phone.
Worked quickly on my Nokia device, it would be nice to have an explanation of what each outcome means when you click on them. Thank you Dev team! A happy customer 🛡️🍻
V 2.0.22 can't run test because it is not the newest version. And I of course have a phone bootloader is locked away on boooo... but points for pronciple
India's map is shown incorrectly fix that. Pok and lac are shown as the part of Pakistan and china respectively. While they are part of India.
Requires root access for the most basic functions. This app is not only a waste of time, but very suspicious.
App keeps closing. Won't stay open for even a full second
Couldn't use it my device isn't rooted.so couldn't tell u if it works or not.
This app reports my phone as having no missing patches despite the security patch level being 7 months out of date.
Working for Pie with me (Alberto97's AOSP rom, MZP), although it only checked patches before November 2018.
Please add an option to select the month for which security patch needs to be checked...
The app shouldn't just freeze at start if you have an unsupported phone. OnePlus 6 A6003 Android 9.
Auto updates even when auto update is disabled. Removed from device.
absolutely terrible I went through the whole process of rooting my phone just to get a diag report saying that network test can't be ran coz of it why is this?
The app is not working properly I'm unable to scan once I scan it stops abruptly
At the end of online scanning it says there will no furher scan will happen in this development (Android 11),But why ?
Great app to see if your phone is up to date on security updates
STOP !! STOP !!! this app will uploading your whole device information to its server.this is biggest loop hole for this app also your data and privacy..
What a great App to detect vulnerabilities within your security !!! Way to go guys!!!
I didnt understand how to use the app its to complicated. Needs directions with it.
If it can not go online to probably send all private data to their server it Wil not work. Ppl watch out for aps likt this
Worked great for checking the security of my LG velvet phone, thank you
