It was initially developed as a fix for battery drain issues on Samsung Galaxy Nexus: some devices randomly detect a power connection without any charger being actually connected to the phone. This would drain the battery because of the screen turning on to display the "Charging" message, multiple times per hour till screen timeout.

Some users have asked about uninstalling the app: first you'll need to deactivate the app as a Device Manager. There's a shortcut for that in SnooZy's settings (last item). If that fails, you need to go to Android settings / Security / Device Administrators and deactivate SnooZy. Once deactivated, you can uninstall as usual. Please note that this is an Android feature, not SnooZy's!

Finally a solution to stop my screen activating every time I plug in/pull out the charger. Works great on my Sony Xperia Z3+ with Android 5.0.1. One minor issue, stopping it from getting 5 stars, is that the screen still activates for half a second before turning off, but at least I don't have to press the button now, and the screen will be locked by itself by the time I put it in my pocket.
Works OK. I wanted something that would make the screen NOT turn on/off when connecting or disconnecting with power. I don't care if the screen is locked at the time or what the power source is. I simply want the screen to stay the way it was when I plugged/unplugged it. This doesn't work that way. It flickers the screen and then turns it off. Not helpful. It also forces a hard lock on the phone and a fingerprint scan no longer will unlock it. Says "Device Administrator has locked this device". And I need to enter the pattern code instead of a fingerprint. Uninstalled.
So, the app does kinda work... When you plug into power and the screen is locked, it still unlocks first and then the app locks it back. This is not the functionality I was looking for... I wanted to turn off the effects of plugging in the charger altogether. This would be fine for me if the app could consider screen on/off rather than just locked/unlocked, as I don't like putting a password on my phone. This means the app always turns my screen off when plugged in even if it's on. Looks like I'm rooting.
Horrible. Took 4+ seconds to turn off the screen on my brand new Samsung Galaxy S7 - when it was set to "immediately" turn it off. What'd the point if you can do it 3 seconds faster yourself? Also, made the phone require my PIN instead of my fingerprint (annoying as hell, and took even more time). Sometimes I'd be using the phone, then all of a sudden this stupid, worthless app would turn off the screen while I was in the middle of doing something, just so if could require me to input my PIN. All annoying, but the most important part is your screen still turns on, and often for a LOT longer than you've set it. The only reason I downloaded this was to prevent my screen from turning on when I plug in the charger. That's its singular purpose, and it can't even accomplish that. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.
An update to Android that requires a pin when a device administrator turns off the screen makes it too inconvenient to use if you use smartlock or a fingerprint sensor. Other developers have built in a way to bypass this problem if you have root, but not this developer.
This is a handy little app with only one problem, I don't want it to lock the screen at all! I like having my screen only lock after an, elsewhere specified, delay. Initially I found fault when the previous version wouldn't turn the screen off after power was connected, but after contacting the developer, this option was made available! Through this discussion, I was told that turning the screen off without locking it is harder than I though. So, I really can't ask for more from a part time developer. 4 stars. I have other apps which turn off the screen but do not lock the phone, so 5 stars if that ever happens (you've gotta have something to shoot for, right?).
PLEASE HELP ME!!! I downloaded this app so that my phone could stay off when I plug it in. It did work. The problem was the setting was set to the screen shutting down when it's plugged in or unplugged and I didn't realise. Because of that, whenever I want to boot my phone whether plugged or unplugged from the charger, the screen automatically goes off 2 seconds later before I can open anything. I try to change the setting and uninstall the app but too late! The screen shuts down 2 seconds later when my phone boots after powering it on!! PLEASE HELP ME!!! MY PHONE IS UNUSABLE NOW!!!
So tired of having to turn the screen back off when I plug in my phone (LG G3). Been looking for a root free solution for awhile. Finally found it. I'm running Marshmallow, so hopefully it still works after the Nougat update. Keep up the great work!
When my phone is charging wirelessly at night, it often loses the connection before reconnecting again. Every time it does this, the screen comes on, waking me up. This app turns it off again. Unfortunately, it doesn't prevent the screen coming on in the first place but turns it off after 2 seconds. Which is too late.
The only thing keeping me sane with stock Android. I dumped my Cyanogen Mod Galaxy S3 for a 6P and immediately was infuriated by the screen coming on when I plugged/unplugged it. Grabbing it one handed often lead to icons moving around and whatnot as I tried to not touch the screen and not drop my toddler. I found SnooZy and it was a miracle. My screen now stays off and there is no more havoc every time I try to grab my phone off the charger real quick.
Wow, thanks so much for this little app! I didn't expect to find a solution to the annoying default Android screen behavior when plugging and unplugging USB power. It was getting really annoying shutting off the screen all the time. Your app saved a piece of my sanity.

Kinda works. When plugged in the screen comes on for a second then turns back off. Uninstalled until it can be fixed so the screen doesn't code on at all.
My phone just stopped charging and I really really need my phone for school and it's saying connect to charger. MY CHARGER STOPPED WORKING
My screen still comes on any time the charger is connected or disconnected. Most annoying thing about Android and unfortunately this doesn't do anything to help.
Amazing. I just installed this app and use it in conjunction with No Lock so I don't have to deal with a lock screen except on startup -- and I am impressed. Why I would want my phone to come on when I put it down on the charger is a mystery to me, but that seems to be just one of those Android annoyances that the developers somehow don't see as worth addressing. I looked and looked and I could not find a solution, but so far, within moments of installing, this appears to be it!
This does everything I was hoping for. It stops the screen from turning on when charging, allowing me to charge the phone with a dynamo hub.
Good feature that should be built into Android. I don't like that the S7 doesn't allow fingerprint unlocking when the app is being used. Uninstalling because of this.

Now I can test the quality of the charger. If my friends tried to cheat me by removing the charger, I can find it. I love it 😘 😘 😘
Let us know when it gets to 99% so we xan see how long it took to charge. At the moment only shows 100% when you unplug it.
With my charging port broken, my phone thinks I keep plugging in and our my charger, keeping my screen alive at all times. This app only makes it blink and it stays off. I'll give them a 5.
This app is perfect for what I was looking for. With Android, when you plug & unplug your device into the charger, the screen lights up and there's no setting to disable this. Now there's a work around using SnooZy Charger, just install and select the settings specific to your device and you have a fix for this particular case.
works ok well sort of. a quirk, while using my phone decide to plug in the power and boom screen goes black hmmmm. need to fix that.
Only problem it that I cannot set lock delay to none. So every time after charging I must unlock phone with code.
You get up, unplug your phone and the screen pops on before you pocket it. A needless function for me taking my phone from home to the car, ect... awesome solution to a nuisance problem.

Battery charges much quicker and lasts noticeably longer. Solves loose cable and battery charge issues. Stops screen coming on when charging.
I wanted this to stop the screen turning on when connected and disconnected to the charger. This worked however one other feature was equally as irritating. Screen lock on disconnect and reconnect. If I have unlocked my phone and then disconnect from the charger, because of this app, it will lock which forces me to unlock it again. After uninstall this 'feature' is not removed but maintains the setting chosen in the app. The app doesnt allow it to be turned off.
