Living in Buffalo, NY, I thought this app would be handy to have. The description did NOT make it clear it's primarily for Skiers! I could find no way to access the total 24 hr expected snow total.(unless I upgrade) Too pricy for me on fixed income!😔 App was too complex,and confusing for the Average Joe like me. I'm sure if I skied, it would be a very useful app, but I don't. So the app was not useful to me personally...but for winter skiing fans it would be most useful😄.
Not everything is working. Just installed the App for the first time and the interface looks good. BUT there are some issues, such as on My Resorts when I press Terrain Map it either crashes or goes back to the My Resorts screen. It has potential but we're not there yet.
Not ultra intuitive, but gives lots of information. There seems to be a problem in that it often gives me weather for yesterday still, preventing me from seeing (in the free version) today's details, which is very annoying and defeats the purpose of the app.
Last few iterations have not been great. Can't view different elevations anymore which is why I chose to purchase the app. It's reasonably accurate, but not great specifically this season.
I can remove the resorts from my list, but once I refresh it all comes back. so frustrated
Seems to provide a simplified version of the data already available on the website. The subscription gives access to an additional 6 days out, on top of the standard 6 day forecast, plus tri-hourly conditions in lieu of AM/PM/Night. I downloaded the app expecting widgets. Maybe even a 5x3 view of the next three or 5 days at my favorite resort. Decent service. Nice layout. I'll probably use the website most of the time.
Excellent New Look. I loved the simplicity of the old app but the re-design is a huge success, very very well done! Multiple resorts, really useful at a glance summaries, great having piste and terrain maps too. Best feature is the new scrolling eye-witness reports. Thanks Snow-Forecast, good job!
Great app, with a lot of resorts on it, the free version is good but if you want more details then upgrade to premium . Just a bit of a slow starter but hey if you want all the resorts and good data then that's probably what it takes .
I'm happy with the app but it's missing one thing: a link to the resorts' respective websites. If you could add one to the relevant page (where lift status and present conditions are displayed) it would be perfect. Otherwise I'm happy with the app. Thanks.
Since the lateat update the app freezes as soon as you click on another elevation level. Unessesary login required, no horizontal mode, bad webapp experience. The forecast is way off sometimes and resort's forecasts (especially Whistler Blackcomb) are often more accurate.
Very useful app with accurate data, but needs fixing. It requires access to geolocation and drains lots of battery. If I don't grant access to geolocation, it crashes badly. Please fix and good luck!
Its all buggy, toast messages are frozen and kept on the screen even after turning off the screen. App is sometimes shaking and its not possible to do anything
Been using the site for almost as long as it exists. The best content and information round. The interface was never great but then again I'm not here for the looks. Highly recommended.
The numbers don't add up. When you change to 3hrs or 1hr, the numbers don't add up and they are drastically different. Sometimes one resolution shoes rain and others show only snow.
Can't login anymore after last update. Facebook account login won't work, Email account either. Was a fan, not so much anymore. Looking for alternatives now.
Better than the old app. Montgenevre (Via Lattea) has horrid low resolution piste map rendering it next to useless. No piste maps will rotate to landscape.
There is a bug in this app. Glitches hard and causes phone to go haywire. Issue seemed to be fixed with the update but just happened again... uninstalled.
What have you done to that app'? :( You monetised for the price of less users. I cannot find my previous favourites since the fresh installation on newer phone. Less user friendly appearance. Less features to access... W...T... Friday we go ski.
Significant improvement on the old app. Thr mapping feature was a nice surprise to find as well.
Updated app is significantly better than previous one. But launching time should be improved, it takes to match time to start the application.
Not intuitive. Difficult to navigate. Old version was better.
Good coverage around the world. Would be nice to be able to customize the order in the "My resorts" list.
Less functionality than the web page - does not show isotherms on snow forecast and only 3 days forecast. Uninstalling.
Glitches of all sorts. Easier to use a their website as a shortcut on my homescreen...and loads faster ;)
Best detailed info and good simple format for overview. Best one for Canada/USA use I've seen.
Great app and essential for skiers and snowboarders! Really helps me understand the weather and also make a decision on which mountain to go to. One ask to developers: Could you consider improving management of "my resorts"? I go to multiple resorts during the season and it would be so much better if we can manage and organize the list more instead of being able to pin just 1 mountain. Even having the ability to pin multiple items would be super helpful and cut down the amount of scrolling.
