Social Media Child Protection

How SMCP works:SMCP monitors basic data from your child’s Facebook and/or Twitter profile via an App that you install on your smartphone or tablet. To install this app, you will need to enter once your child’s Facebook and/or Twitter account login details. SMCP encourages parents to let their child enter the login details themselves, which lets the child maintain some privacy. This also can be a great way to start the conversation with your child about what you expect from your child when being a member of Facebook and/or Twitter. You also do not have to embarrass your child by being his/her friend on Facebook or Twitter. SMCP will monitor your child’s Facebook and/or Twitter account regardless of where and how they are connected.
What SMCP monitors:
- Incoming and outgoing friend requests on Facebook (only picture, place, name and age)
- All new posted, timeline and album pictures on Facebook
- Messages with non-friends (only picture, name and age) on Facebook
- Following on Twitter

What SMCP doesn’t monitor:
- Any conversations
