Social.mom - Meet Moms Nearby with Kids & Babies

This app is really great! Love that I can finally get myself out there and find other moms in my area and all over who share similar interests. I would suggest tweeking the notifications a bit; the message notifications seem to be buggy and I don't recieve any when I get messages. I would also suggest a video chat option so busier moms can talk to each other and become closer as friends too! The app is truly wonderful overall, keep up the good work developers!

It would be nice if when you put in a birthday you could actually put the date in instead of having to flip thru the calendar. I have a 21yr old, I'm not tapping from 2021 to 1999, thats just too much *thanks for the help! I tapped on the date in the calendar initially. Took me a minute to see the year I was supposed to click on but I eventually found it lol

It's okay. Not quite sure how the public chats work yet. I do like how it is organized though. I think a bigger problem is there seems to not be as many women as Peanut. I do also wish that sending friend requests to women close by was easier... like if you could set how close you want a friend to be. Instead of have to weed through the list and it just takes too much time for a busy mom.

It's a lot better than other "mom apps" I've used as the other users genuinely seem to take the community guidelines seriously and it doesn't feel like it's full of cliques[: there doesn't seem to be as many active users, so if you're looking for a good space to meet other moms, I can 10/10 recommend this app!

At first, I was a bit skeptical of this app, but I'm so glad I downloaded it! With my worries put aside I found it to be a very useful and friendly app for finding new mom friends or just having someone to relate to from time to time. The mom life can be a bit isolating but this app helps me get out of my bubble and socialize! They sometimes have events in the area and you can meet up with other moms or just chat its completely up to you! This app has a great environment where I feel comfortable to share my questions or thoughts. I give this two thumbs up and if you're thinking about trying it, DO IT!😄

3 stars just because personally i do not like the app setup and navigation. I feel as though it doesnt cater to meeting LOCALS. everyone is very far and i am seeking a friend i can actually visit without a plane ticket. nothing wrong with the app at all. i appreciate that it exists, juat not for me so my review is neutral. if you libe in a highly populated area it probably works better for you as for me i live in rural texas. thanks anyway🤘

I absolutely love this app. I was skeptical at first because it meant me stepping outside my comfort zone and talking to strangers. But it was so much more easier because I didn't feel like a stranger. We all have one thing in common WE ARE MOTHERS, then you meet friends in your area with similar interest. It's pretty awesome and I recommended it to a few mothers who felt alone and had no mommy friends or needed advice with parenting.

Absolutely love this app. Zero ads. Lots of positivity and support from other moms. Easy to use and navigate. Even includes a marketplace for moms selling stuff like used baby items and even their own products. Its a great way to connect with other moms, near and far.

Couldn't figure out how to search for moms that were in similar paths to my own. Too many religious folks, mostly younger moms with multiple younger children in some sort of relationship. I thought I could build a support system but didn't seem to be much anything to build from. Could very well be the area I live in but the global feature wasn't much different. Not a terrible app, just didn't fit with me nor my walk of life.

its a great concept and ap. the ability to add short videos would be cool... also moms (including myself) need to be less shy and actually reach out to one another. We're all thinking the same thing anyway!

I was really excited to try this app but i couldn't even get started. When i was attempting to type my username it just kept adding letters and repeating words even when i went to delete it like replicated what was already there until it maxed out the characters. I would love to see this fixed so i can join.

This app is actually ad free and I have not seen any unfriendly moms. Granted, there is drama from certain moms but that's bc some of them need the right support or guidance. That's the point of this app, in the end! The creator is very firm on negative/unsupportive/trouble-maker users not being able to stay on the app, so please keep this in mind, when joining. I, personally, enjoy the app but the moms I speak to can't keep a conversation, really. (FYI) that's all I have experienced, thus far

One of my favorite mom apps and most frequently used. The creators are always looking to improve their app for users (I suggest adding on a feature to allow users to create and join groups). I have not personally come across any men on the app, but the creators are always quick to kick from the app. I haven't met any moms face-to-face but I have created friendships through this app.

To be able to even get into this app you have to submit a photo of yourself and wait 24 or less hours for them to review it and to confirm that you're real. Well I submitted a normal photo of myself (Including my face and shoulders - A very CLEAR photo). For some reason they said it wasn't good enough and that I needed to submit another one. So I went along to submit another photo of myself. Then they said that one wasn't good enough either and that I wasn't aloud into the community. TERRIBLE!

When I tried to open the app it just brings up a blank screen and won't work. Deleted and redownloaded and still same thing. I was really looking forward to using an app like this. Maybe I will try again in the future in hopes that it's fixed.

I love this app beyond words. I am in a place with no negativity, all encouragement and uplifting women!!! Moms unite! I love it so much. Keep up the good work. I'll definitely pass this onto other moms so we can all join in together. So amazing! I love this app. If ur a mom looking for friends with other moms who have kids ur age and near u then this is perfect!

I want to support the app but I also want to be fair. The idea is nice, the app is free, and there are no ads. Admins are doing a great job keeping it a place where everybody is welcome and not judged. But, Android version might have minor bugs sometimes. You can post only one photo per post. In the app, you see local feed which is usually quite poor and global feed (100k+ users!), so it's not easy to spot likeminded moms if they don't live close. Would be nice to have some kind of hashtags.

I love this app. It allows me to connect with other mommas near and far. To get advice & support when needed. Admins & super moms are super quick to resolve any issues that iv had. I use this app over another "mom app" that I used to be on. I find there's more support on here and less drama. If your looking for a good "mom app" definitely give this one a try! You won't regret it 💖💙

I absolutely love this app. Unlike other apps it feels very safe. There are different women of all ethnicities, religions, nationalities, single, married, divorced, widowed, stay at home moms, working mommy's etc. Everyone is so supportive of each other and you will meet lots of super moms just like yourself whom you can truly relate to! I haven't experienced anything bad. I'm pretty sure the site is closely monitored.

Great!! I actually have some friends now lol The creators are actual people who reach out to us and responds quickly to any issues within the app. For example, men getting on and trying to hook up with us, bullies within the app and if there are women who are suicidal, they reach out directly to them with resources, understanding and compassion. I highly recommend this app if you're looking for good company and a supportive community!!

I love this app. i have been on about a month. we rant, comolain, ask for help, make friends. everything we would do with our friends off screen. i can not say anything negative about this app. i am going to suggest it to all my mom friends. everyone on here is great. all the negative people are trolls (or maybe there are a few bugs, but hey, it happens). my favorite app on my phone!

I find this app so much better than Facebook. I find it drama free and they are trying to get a support group going for different reasons. one for moms that have kids that are disabled. there are so many wonderful moms on there and I found a few people talk to daily on it. it's a great app for mothers who want advice on stuff from personal experience and see if what they suggest will help with your little one I dont know how anyone can be so unhappy with this app. it's one of the best ones

I'll give the app 4 stars based on the use alone. It's very very easy to use. I liked the interface and navigation. Sooo simple! I took off one star because of the girls using the app.( And this is out of the developer's control. The app is great!) But the users.... These women use profanity and are constantly posting selfie after selfie and misspelling their entire post. It's frustrating because I was hoping to find more sophisticated mothers. I think this is for younger moms.

Downloading social.mom was one of the wisest decisions I've made for my self-care in a while. It's a great community of supportive mothers who aim to be the best they can for their kiddos while providing the proverbial "village" for other mothers going through the same thing. We share stories, struggles, laughs, and insights that are so incredibly valuable for the motherhood journey. I've given up on most other social media except this one!

i never thought i would be able to find a place where women come together. As mothers alot of us suffer from alot of things we hold in. Why because we are always supposed to be the strong supper women for our children. This app is such a wonderful experience for mothers to come together and rid the negatives of all these other social apps. Make play dates with our children and much more. i love this app.

I got this because i am a SAHM and it gets super lonely. I wanted to meet other moms to make friends but also for playdates for my babies. However while trying to sign up it says to have a code sent to your phone. Well i tried several times to get the code and it just kept saying that a code was already sent to my phone. No i never received it and there's no way to tell it that. After trying multiple times i just gave up and uninstalled the app. Whats the point of it taking up space in my phone when i cannot even use it.. There needs to be some things fixed in this app. Other than that i dont have any complaints because i could not use it. So i have no knowledge of anything else being wrong. There's not a lot of ppl in my state and if there are, they don't go on very often. When they do go on the app, they don't seem to want to do anything but talk about their lives but not meet in person. I do like the app as far as ppl talking about their struggles and giving advice but they're all from different states so it's hard to connect with someone when you know you'll never meet them in person because they're so far away

It's very comforting having a group of moms who some, have been through what you are going through and have some pretty great advice for you, when you had no idea where to go or what to do! It's a great app & I recommend it to moms all the time. we can Express ourselves without feeling judged. & any moms who want to be mean...they get banned from the app & that is comforting knowing this app has your back!
