I've only been using it for a few hours, and already I love it! It allows me to take multiple photos of a problem/equation unlike other apps where you would have to pay for the "premium" version just to take another photo. And in my opinion the best part is that if it doesn't show you how to do the problem it will pull up a YouTube example in order to help out somehow. It wasnt done there though, it also gives the option of tying in the problem if the scanner didn't read it right. Honestly this app can only better you, and help!

This is honestly such a helpful app! I'm really bad at math and it's a great teacher!! It shows you step-by-step on how to solve a problem and usually I just need a reminder, so it's a great app for that unlike photo math. It doesnt even need to be a math related question, it can be a history or a biology question, anything really, and if it cant answer the question, itll give you web results and it finds some of the best webpages on the question/subject! (Theres also no ads which is a bonus)

According to me, this is the best app for homework help for school as well as college students. We can type the question in which we have doubt or can take a photo or picture of it and scan it. The app then scans the picture and we get instant detailed results which are really helpful. I recommend this app to the needy students. Great app! Great work team!

Used to work great, until now. App helped me with homework for ages and covered my you-know-what for ages. But recently I updated to Android 10, and it stopped working. I don't know if it's Android 10 or just a coincidence, but the app takes a photo, kicks me out, makes me take it again, and then tells me it has crashed. Please fix soon. I would love to give you 5 stars again!

App hasn't been updated since June 2018. No information about development or anything else. It's kind of shady really. Sure it's useful for some things but it's essentially a massive private non-searchable database of homework questions. We have no idea who has access to these photos that are being taken with the app or where they are stored. Presumably only the developer and their "team" know or have access. Still I have a lot of privacy concerns because if it's "free" there's usually a catch.

The app use to work before but just recently I have not been able to search for answers. I take the picture, box the question, and when I search it just disappears. When I take the picture again the app crashes and a notification pops up telling me that the app keeps closing. I've reset my phone, uninstall, force stopped, clear my caches. I have no clue what to do now. Please help.

I'm quite satisfied with this app although it can be improved. If you are having problem with a complex problem you can simply it by breaking it down into two or more questions. I broke down my math questions and this app shows me the correct formula to do each step. However, the camera in this app can't focus very well and I had to type out the words or numbers sometimes. Hope they would improve on the camera

This app is a huge lifesaver, though I wish it was a little more compatible with algebra it still works excellent. I've noticed every time there's a "=" equal sign in a problem it says it can't help which is a small issue but I'm glad you can take pictures and type it in, it's very straightforward and very understanding and I love how it can read my messy handwriting. Theres only small issues with things loading but it's all worth it, I can understand work and it helps me work it through.

The app is absolutely fantastic. It has made all the subjects very easy and quick to understand. There is no need to go on other apps. It gives exact definitions, accurate answers, and much more. The best thing about Socratic is that it cancels the idea of taking tuitions or going to coaching centres. This is an ALL IN ONE app. I love you Socratic!!!

I used this app quite frequently when I would have issues finding answers. A few weeks ago, the app stopped working and I haven't been able to use it any longer. I do have an android 10. Not quite sure if that matters. I have uninstalled and reinstalled too many times to count. I can take a picture and click search and it goes right back to the camera screen. I can write the question in and click search and it takes me out of the app and tells me the app quit. Please fix!! I love this app!

It's a really great app, it doesn't just show you one sketchy answer but it shows you a variety of options concerning your problem of choice and pulls up videos and step by step ways to do whatever problem you might have had. There's also a text in feature I personally love because something the picture you take might not upload successfully but rest assured that I it works like click work when you type in the box feature. Along with all of this it's easy to function and honestly I think if your considering getting this app just do it, it's honestly going to be just a win-win on your part and it makes it a hell of a lot easier to grasp concepts and work productivity.

Hi, i really liked the app and it was working perfectly until I upgraded my phone to Android 10(One plus 7 device ) Sometimes the text typing box doesn't appear and mostly it is not able to recognize the questions it used to when I was using Android 9, please try to fix this as soon as possible because I am a student and love using this app a lot. Tried sending a mail too but that didn't deliver. From A wellwisher of this app :)

All you can do on it is take a picture and it does the rest. There is no other option. I gave it a simple algebra problem of turning the quadratic from vertex form into standard form. It gave me all these other complex answers but NOT the one I was looking for. I tried this with multiple problems and the same thing happened. I don't think this app would be helpful unless your giving it simple problems.

If I could rate it any lower I would. Would never recommend to anyone. This app is not in English, slows your phone down AND glitches your whole screen out within days of using it. Not to mention that it doesn't recognize math characters, so only useful for word problems if it even works for you. Just get brainly instead.

Ik a lot of people have photomath but this app does soooo much more. All photomath does helps with just math. And not even word problems. This on the other hand works on math (including word problems) and other subjects such as science,social studies,language arts ect. Ect. This app is definitely easy to use (it shows you) and you can definitely get homework done fast. It also shows you the work if you have a math problem. (For you know the teachers that like work shown) ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

It used to work and help me with homework, then it acts like its scanning only to make me take it again THEN i try to take the photo again and it crashes. ALSO the abc thing doesn't work either, all it does is kicks me out of the app. I already tried clearing cache and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Would give 0 stars if i could. FIX THIS PLZ.

I love using the app when I don't understand a problem b/c it explains the problem really well to the point where I would feel confident enough to teach it to another person. I struggle with math and sometimes it feels like my teacher is talking a different language but Socratic explains the solution really well. Also if Socratic can't find a direct answer to your question then it will show you multiple websites relating to your question, which doesn't sound really helpful but they actually are.

Exceptional, such an amazing app, however it has a very slight problem. And it is the fact that it was difficult to understand at the beginning, i didn't get it in the first two or three tries however later i understood everything. An advice from me would be, making a simple tutorial at the begining so people wouldn't get annoyed and uninstall before understanding how amazing this app is.

This is so good it helps me with my matg homework, like it gives u the answer with the steps all you need to do is take a photo of the problem, 3 seconds later the answer is in front of you. But there is one bad thing and that's the camera sometimes it just takes like 15 seconds to focus but other than that it's perfect.

Exceptionally good app.. It's unbelievable to see how accurately it solves every problem describing each and every step. One change can be done by providing a way to edit the question once the app reads it so that if by mistake the app is unable to read a question correctly so the user can manually correct it.

It tells you the answer straightforward and recognized problems easily. the only problem is, is that they dont have the answer what you are looking for ALL the time. but overall it's a really great app! it even recognizes problems better than photomath.

for no reason, the picture taking portion of the app, no longer works. it just keeps saying it can't read the text. I know it can. lense is clean. sentences are very short, that i take pic of, and i even uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but still nothing. it was working perfectly not 15 minutes ago. and now after trying to take 10 different pics of questions, they all say it cant read the text. please fix this. I can still manually input the questions in the ABC section, and it finds it.

Will not give me the solutions to the problems I put in. It only just tells you to download the new version. Then when I download the new version it just doesn't give me any solutions at all to any of the problems I put in. Overall terrible, and if you're looking for an app that can give you direct answers to your homework problems, I strongly do not recommend. You will only be disappointed.

Life Saver!!! This app is really great! It helps me figure out tiny little errors that I always miss in my math homework, and is great for checking answers. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it's sometimes hard to navigate through everything, and it doesn't always solve it the way I want it to. I'm sure there are ways to get it to do that, but I've only had the app for a few days. Highly recommend!

Unbelievably useful. Unlike tutor apps whom you need to purchase after a few free tries, this answers the question quickly and explains every detail so you won’t miss anything. I highly recommend this to anyone who has problems with Math, because it has upgraded my skills like a rocket.

The app was awesome and cleared all of my doubts. The only reason rate it 4 stars is because sometimes I can't find expected results while searching about a geometrical proof problem. Otherwise the app is great and the best thing about this app is that it doesn't contains any frustrating ads. Keep the good work.

Great app really gives you the help you would need if you do not have a tutor or a teacher. Also gives you more than one site to go off from. These apps are also safe for review two all. It helps in math the most tho but is also great in the others. So try it out. (THANKS)

Really great app it makes it easier to do your homework a lot !!! Faster just scan and boom if it had an option which you would scan a whole page and checked for each question at a time it would have been great but it is still a good app and I recomend it and this is not a bot or BS just saying
