SoFi: Save money, invest in stocks or trade crypto

It's more then just another banking app. With a 1.25% interest checking, savings and vault account, you cannot beat this deal. All you need is a direct deposit of 1000 each month. This app keeps track of all my accounts, even ones that are not SOFI. No transaction fees on trades. Get paid 3 days early every pay period. My credit score is right on the front page. SoFi has rewards of its own for being a good steward of your own finances. They also have investing bots. Amazing app. Covers all bases

The constant kicking off and requiring a login to continue is an unnecessary and annoying problem. The stock market can change in seconds and when you're in the middle of doing something, you get kicked back to the home screen and lose momentum and your place. It's a huge hassle. The site is not much better. It lags and takes about a minute to load each screen. Again, a hassle. Fix it.

On the Galaxy S21, there's no back or home button. There are so many subsections of the app where you can't return to SoFi's home menu because the back feature just won't go back to it, especially if it's a long application. Overall, there seems to be a ton of features, but it's clear they don't have any developers actually using the app on Galaxy phones.

The best experience with a virtual bank I've had yet. Easy to use and navigate in app. There's no brick or mortar business but you can use the debit card anywhere Mastercard is accepted. The only challenging part is where to go to load cash. Everything else is easy, It's been great to me! You can also follow your credit score through the app if desired. Highly recommended.

The app is very glitchy. Tried to transfer funds to another account, and the app selected a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ACCOUNT. What worse, that payment got returned, the fraud team froze my account. But, it gets better... I've been calling for the last two hours only to hear "the fraud team is very busy and can't take your call right now, please leave a message..." I've never had a bank lock me out of my account. Much less not allow me to talk to someone.

The app sucks. Can't finish account setups, constant reconnection of banks. A lot of advertising in the form of "info cards." I haven't tried the computer yet but as far as an app for a phone...just start over lol. Extremely difficult to just get what you want...not intuitive in the slightest.

So far, I'm pretty frustrated with this app. I was very excited to get started with all SoFi has to offer but have run into multiple issues. It does not seem to be very user friendly. The app is very buggy, glitchy and has even booted me out. The most disappointing thing is that I cannot link my Chime account to start funding my accounts. Heard lots of great things about SoFi, hopefully I can fix my issues soon to enjoy its benefits.

I can't get past the account sign up. The app times out and when in uninstall and reinstall the same thing occurs. When I close the app it brings me back to the login page by default, forcing me to go back through the sign up, which also times out. I have tried using different networks without success.

Linking your accounts helps prepare for upcoming payments, and alerts for monthly payments before they are due. Easy to get and use Debt/ATM Card. The app provides some great banking experiences, but there have been recent changes to how payment methods are cached in the app that has made moving money around an absolute chore. It appears to make an API call every single time you navigate to the list of accounts under SoFi money, really slowing things down leading to a frustrating experience.

This app sucks. Instead of spending millions of dollars on advertising you should be investing in making this app less complicated and more user friendly. It even has inaccuracies in calculating averages. I use a separate excel sheet along to keep track of my portfolio.

I've had nothing but problems since choosing this bank account. None of the features I was promised have been available to me. I've been having my payroll directly deposited to this account for over 6months and the app still hasn't recognized that I have direct deposit set up. Every time I contact support they tell me they fixed the issue and to give it a few days and it will be fixed. 6 months later and none of my issues have been resolved. The support team is clueless. Do not download!!!

Very good interest rates and rewards, I like how I can do everything easily through the app, and it's an all encompassing thing. I did wish they had minor accounts, but I can get a third party that probably does it better than they would. So it's not that big of a deal. Overall it does everything you need with ease

Too much bloating ads, services offerings in the face! Sofi should make all the offers/Services listed in a separate menu or atleast at the very bottom and NOT on the dashboard above other important items. It almost feels like they are spamming all over profile, in the spots where customers look for their accounts info and they have to skip pass their ads everytime to get to their info! It is understandable the company wants you to sign up for more services but come on, it seems too desperate!

Terrible customer service. None of the associates know any ans. Just constant transferring of calls and tickets that never are followed up with. The credit card system is a disaster. Every transaction being declined. They change their terms and conditions daily without editing their terms on their website. This app is a scam to get people into massive debt

App is decent, investing can not be auto done through rewards unfortunately, and takes a few days to move money but is reasonably done APY for banking is generous but I still choose not to keep my money there. What I don't like about Sofi is the customer support. I had contacted them twice about issues, no response, ticket number, or follow up for months, frustrating. Finally after 3 times 4 months something gave in and I got an update and ticket number, maybe because I left a bad review here.

Best Finance App. Everything you could want for financial services is bundled in a nice easy to use way. You can use this for Checking, Savings, Personal Stock Investing for yourself, AI and professional Investing (where they pick stocks for you), Retirement (401k), Crypto Investing, College Loans, Car Loans, all kinds of loans. Usually companies can't do all these in one app but they found a way. My suggestion to SoFi is to make it easier to move money from any one account to any other account.

Great UI and Easy Functionality. Super convenient, well organized, and easy to use. I don't get lost in the trans, and they manage to keep things very well organized for as many options as they provide

SoFi is at a different level of financial institution (higher). They offer different kind of credit, with a easy process and low interest. Also their checking and savings accounts are amazing!

The app freezes on login. The only thing moving/able to move looks like it could be an ad for something. They offer you a free stock to sign up for an investment account. I even added $20 to see If it would be worth yet another portfolio but no free promotional stock was given. Shady business practices.

Makes it easy to buy stock but when you sell getting your money back isn't intuitive. After selling a week ago, I haven't been able to get my funds. The app keeps looping around and won't complete the transfer.

Love this app. It took me a little bit to actually get around everything in the app and it's alit which is a good thing. They have alit to offer and can help you with so much from just a regular checking acct to retirement. Love this app. Also you earn points doing many different things and you can turn it into cash , same day no waiting 3 days or more for it it's instantly.

OK for IRA... The app functions ok, it works as described and is user friendly. However; there is a huge lag in their system compared to other brokerages I use. When I buy stock...the buy will be completed at a price that's sometimes $0.50 higher than when I clicked "buy" this system lag has made me lose money. But for IRA/Roth IRA it's perfectly fine.

I was happy with SoFi until they made a payment from a card that I reported lost. I received the new card and everything was fine. Made a complaint that a charge was on my account from a card I no long had. Was told they were looking into it and nothing ever came from their investigation. I went further and contacted the company that the charge was for on my statement. They claimed they never received a payment. I don't know who 🤥.

Tried adding my card to my digital wallet (Google Pay) prior to receiving the physical card and activating as both SoFi and it's representatives (Spoke with Celine, Account Manager, and Zack) who both basically passed this off as a technical issue, and that they would have to submit a ticket to resolve this. Celine had advised me this may be because the card was not activated yet, which defeats the purpose of adding it the mobile wallet as the ticket can take as long as it would to get my card.

Love the banking, credit and loan... app is easy. I had to call customer service once and pay far the nicest person ive ever talked to on a call such as this. Only issues I have so far is the investment app. I could not find a few companies using name or ticker. Also, user interface is far to simplistic it hurts the functionality on trading. Lastly, I really wish they had Trailing Stop-Loss functions as well as Percentage Profit-Taking set functions.

Too many ads for services. Makes the interface cluttered and overly complex. Please prioritize simplicity and ease of use over marketing. Edit 5/26/22 Just had back to back ads upon opening the app. Followed IMMEDIATELY by a request to rate the app. Be careful what you ask for! Wish I could make it zero.

This is one of my favorite apps by far. Its very simple to navigate for beginners. Also easy for beginners to fall victim of all their FAKE promotions they put a ton of hard inquiries on your credit report and do not give you any promotional $
