Absolutely beautiful experience. Flawless in almost any way. But could you please add the option to save our personalised settings and if possible allow us to visit messier objects? And also, I would like to thank the dev's for the low no. of ads to boost our experiences. Also, thank you for the awesome background music and realistic effects. But please make it possible to see the devastation if we moved some planets around. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APP TO ALL SPACE ENTHUSIASTS!!!
This app is just simply amazing. It is worth paying for the full access to the galaxy above us all. I find myself getting lost in space all the time now a days searching for answers to the unknown and untouchable. The way that they have broken all aspects of the outer space down to be able to zoom in and research each and every star in real time makes it so much more knowledgeable than ever. I went from living in the mountains to in a city and this app gave me a way to see the stars above us.
Neat to be able to switch between GPS/gyro navigation (scannong and finding different items in space by changing the orientation of the phone), and thumb-scroll navigation. I also like the encyclopedic knowledge tid-bits about each object, and that you can zoom in and out through the whole Milky Way Galaxy with ease.
I love the experience! . I love the realistic view as it is useful to teach people about the actual scale of the system! There is a small issue I noticed though. Not sure if it has anything to do with my phone. I cannot observe earth in orbit mode with the spacecrafts made visible. The Earth just becomes dark. Hope it is resolved soon! Cheers!
It's great app!!! So many information, well organized, nice graphics. But it seems that after upgrade nothing happens - the resolution of the maps is the same as before. There is one issue - app doesn't save settings, even if you press "save". Every time after start it up, you have to go in settings and press "load". It's very annoying.
I have a few things to say about this app: First of all, I think it's wonderful! I am obsessed with all things space. The ads are annoying, but at least they feature some cool products like telescopes, microscopes, etc. At least it's not those annoying TikTok advertisements and game ads. That's a plus for me! I think it would be cool if they would include actual pictures of the surfaces of the planets we've been able to take photographs of-(continue to next passage)
The app is great and one the best ones in its category. However, Could you please the ability the move around freely in the solar system. Means we can only zoom out and zoom in on the planet we have selected. I can't zoom in on other planets (like cities in google maps). I have to manually select the planet, which puts me off sometimes.
This is the best interactive tool I've found for exploring and learning about the solar system and beyond. It's a really nice user experience, with cool and intuitive design. My only suggestion for improvement is to see planets orbiting with choice of speed settings. Currently it's static unless I've missed an option to customise this.
Paid version/Galaxy note 8* Fantastic interactive space app to familiarize yourself with our solar system. The kids love it. Great detail, color and conception. Only complaint I have is that the information for each space body is short and leaves me with more questions and hungry for more information. Last thing I want is to leave the app to Google the information. I'll gladly pay for a more expansive version with more info on each space body, perhaps including images taken from satellites. Otherwise I love it.
A MUST BUY IF YOU LOVE SPACE. The amount of information alone on just the planets and moons is staggering and accurate, but you can also view comets, spacecraft, constellations and much more. You can also change the date to see where everything was at the time. So far my favorite moment was changing the date all the way back to the '80s and seeing where Voyager 1 and 2 were (they are now in interstellar space some 44 years later). This program is seriously cool!
It is a unique app, have no complaints, but a few suggestions. The centering and scale features are amazing. I suggest inclusion of a feature with toggle keys, like a PS controller, so that one could perform free flights between stellar objects or anywhere. A feature to show curved space around an object, GR, it could be alternated with the space grid. Blackholes, neutron stars, with some optional animation; I have been searching for the star cluster that marks the galactic center.
Amazing! Thanks for a breathtaking experience. One bug- settings go back to default every time you open the app. Also, would appreciate an option to hide all text and planet names to get a clear view of the solar system. Even more amazing would be preset for smooth camera movement, output to video file and an option to change the centre to other than the sun- because the sun is always centred you only see the dark side of all the planets.
Perfect app for teaching kids about the solar system and more. There are so many posters and books showing the planets lined up next to each other, giving the impression that they are close together. This app shows the reality of how vast and empty space is. It's easy to navigate, fast and the images are great. You can even use it to find planets , like with Stellarium etc. Really nice work.
The best app/experience ever! It is very difficult to find a free app with so much precision and hard work in it, so thank you sooo much for that! For the astronomers/astrophysists who are angry because of missing moons or stars or problems in orbits, go and search for better elsewhere or build it yourself, if you don't want to, then shut up!!!
I think this is wonderful and my five year old loves it. I've knocked one star off because of a frustration... sometimes pressing back doesn't successfully exit the app (on a Samsung Galaxy S7). Worse, on a tablet with the system buttons in screen like the Huawei Mediapad T3, the buttons are lost and you can't exit the app at all!! I have to restart the tablet to get out.
Easy to control simulation speed and perspective. Very nice for visualising the recent great conjunction of Jupiter & Saturn. But how do I save the simulation as a little video for sharing? Edit. Ok, I see it is under consideration but not in top 10 of requested features. Very nice to see the requested feature list. Others apps can grab a video as work around Edit 2: click upgrade -> "purchasing not available"
Finally a complete map to go space and beyond 🚀. The amount of stuffs you can visualize is simply too big to show them all in a row. Simple but effective visualization thou, smart UI, and very cool little pace and time "travel effect". Informations about space objects are quite minimalists, but this is not Wikipedia (adding some links to it could be great thou). In short, anyone how wants to learn about stuffs in space should have this app on heris phone period /
GREATEST APP Ever! Quickly became my favorite app since coming over to the Android world in December. Within 30 seconds I was hooked!! Paid for the premium forthwith. It is just simply awesome. The graphics, the knowledge, the best looking imagery, useability.....it's all outstanding! It is amazing my humble Nokia x100 has the processing power for such a graphic-intensive app, but works like a charm.
Very nice app. It is really good to learn some sort of space stuffs. But you see, I have some problems. According to general theory of relativity, an imaginary fabric known as the space-time fabric, bends when an object is over it. If you add this feature, it'll be better. Thanks for such a wonderful app.
Loved the app, gives detailed perspective of our solar system and our galaxy. But when it comes to live view of looking at the night sky it doesn't work the slightest bit! All the directions are completely off from my view point and the screen won't even stay still long enough for me to examine anything because it's constantly recalibrating the direction it thinks im viewing from when in fact my phone isn't moving at all. Wish I could free roam the galaxy and zoom in on more & not just the sun.
It is very informative and it is great to know that the messier explorer is in the works. However that bad part is the navigation. Everything is centered on the Sun, zooming, etc. Would be great if the zòm would focus on the selected object (trying to close in on Pluto, nevermind a star, is terribly frustrating)
Could have been better. Yes its good to look at but don't get that much more when buying the upgrade. Also when I select the show spacecraft setting, the planet Earth disappears completely from view when you tap on 'explore Earth' option. I reconfigure settings but still happens. Nice addition to my space app library and has some useful star system layouts but average overall for me.
Props to the first and only app to freeze up my phone - and it was WORTH it. Lol Granted, I was toying with the solar system timeline often, and for many minutes long, which I'm sure could become a resource hog quickly, given all of the on-the-fly calculations and animations taking place (I had virtually everything set visible). The app is gorgeous, educational, and fantastic. And free? Thank you!
