Solar Walk Free - Planets 3D

Explore Saturn and its moons: travel in time, read info and watch photos.

- Did you know that it is still a mystery how long a day on Saturn is?
- Did you know that Saturn has 60 moons?

Enjoy the beauty of one of the best known and most beautiful planet in the Solar System. Saturn is mostly known for its rings and numerous moons. The easy navigation through the app makes the experience of surfing the Space really breathtaking and unforgettable.

IMPORTANT: This free demo shows the Saturnian system of moons and rings. Full access to all solar system objects is available through In-App purchase.

Remember building a solar system in high school? Cups and papier-mache balls are in the past, because Solar Walk is an interactive orrery that shows all planets and satellites of the solar system in their correct positions in real time.

This 3D solar system model lets you navigate between planets, see their positions on a specific date, explore how they move and why. You will see the entire Milky Way galaxy from a far and zoom in to study all the planets and satellites in close-up, learn their trajectories, inner structures, history of their exploration, and geography.

Every planet has extensive information: size, mass, orbital velocity, exploratory missions, thickness of structural layers, and composition of atmosphere.

“Can’t-miss app.”
- Mashable

“Solar Walk serves up a visually impressive 3D model of our solar system. Set against a haunting, atmospheric soundscape, the app shows planets and satellites in their correct positions, and offers mini movies, facts and other related tidbits.”
- TNW

“This jaw-dropping app provides a wholly interactive 3D model of our solar system, one that’s had me hooked for days. It’s the kind of thing you can imagine a science teacher using in the classroom of the future — except that we don’t have to wait.”
- CNet

“Zoom from Mercury to Pluto (which makes the cut in this app), passing each planet’s moons along the way. Because Solar Walk knows what time it is, the planets are in proper orientation to the Sun: Earth is dark where it is currently night and gradually lightens to daytime on the other side.”
- The New York Times

Graphics are beautiful, or I think they would be if I could turn off the blasted lens flare. Apparently the makers studied at the j.j. Abrams school of cinematography. Also, the controls are far too sensitive. I find it very difficult to get the view I want as a slight tap or more shifts the view immensely. The ability to move the view slower would be nice. I don't have this problem with other apps like this.

This app is awesome. It's easy to use. I love the realistic graphics. I love how you switch between looking at everything to scale or making everything bigger. I also love the ambient background music. Great app!

The app was great, yet I am experiencing some kind of compatibility issues with my Nove 3i. While working on the app for a minute or two, it do always suddenly stops and off. Hope you can look into it so that I may find it interesting purchasing its add-ons.

Awesome game, I love it and the only problem I have is that you have to pay to get higher resolution so pls make it free and as someone who's really into space this is perfect and the most realistic space game I've ever seen by far just pls make it free!

i love this app. the music is calming, the images are breath taking, and it moves smoothly when scanning/moving through the solar system. the facts on each planet are quick reads perfect for reading with young children. the pictures for each planet are beautiful. i really appreciate the break down of each planet's layers from atmosphere to core. i think this app is perfect for parents to sit down with their children to teach them about our place in the universe.

I must not understand how to use this app. The only planet I seem to be able to access is Saturn. Any other option seems to bring me to the menu for pay for add on paid items. The notifications would be useful but I can't access them. For Nokia 8.1 phone. Uninstalled. Sorry.

What a treat. I only have the free version so far. Plenty of Information on the planets in our solar system with dreamy graphics. and music, cheesy but smashing. Think I'll upgrade

sooo good , exploring and learning at its best . only downside even after purchase is adverts still appear that spoils the experience . this app is so good it doesn't need them . hope they are removed in future.

I usually give the devs of these games a hard time due to the amount of adds they give us, that said...WOW! This game is brilliant, is it a game? No, its education. Who is not interested in this stuff? I am, and I think its beautiful in both graphics and delivery. Well played and thank you. 5 stars and a big hug.

The application seems amazing in graphics and interface, however it keeps crashing. I would love to change the rating once problems are fixed.

I learned stuff, but there are a few complaints. First of all, the camera is always fixed to an object and you cannot move the camera around freely. Also, there is an ad everytime i click on something

It clearly states Black Friday deal 99p for solar walk with everything.. a bit deceptive as when you hit the link it leads you to the free version and nothing about the 99p black Friday deal, I took screenshots of the offer, this isn't the first time this has happened on Google play, getting a bit sick of it to tell you the truth

This app as great graphics only bad points are having to pay for space station and statilites and no info on how to use glasses or what the other two options in settings are and do

This is worth installing. You can discover stuff in the milky way. But Vito Technology should add other galaxies. For example The galaxy Andromeda and other galaxies but I am rating it a five star because there are a lot of stars LOL get it? But it's very good.

I believe there is a bug with the orientation of the milky way, and the picture of the milky way background, compared to the ecliptic of the solar system, it is reversed: in the app, due to the wrong orientation, it shows the milky way galactic core being visible at night from earth during winter months, while the opposite is true in reality: the galactic core is visible at night during summer months, and during the winter months, the night sky of the earth points in the opposite direction.

It is AMAZING!! One problem though.... There are so many ads showing up.... If you remove the ads I will send you a 5 star... For now 4 bcs so many ads! Byeeeee!

This app makes it a lot easier to identify constellations. Plus the music makes it mesmerizing experience.

A. G. u. Feb 27, 2019

It's more of juat a Solar System Explorer. There isn't much to look at outside of our own solar system, and there aren't really any exoplanets. The name should be changed because you can't really explore the universe.

When space is the, place. Can't beat these apps. Amazingly, informative and great, graphics. I can't put it, down

Uba. K. Oct 2, 2018

Now I dont know if there's something wrong with this app or is it really the case. But if one changes time to 20/12/3999, something strange happens that will shock you.

Pet. P. Nov 25, 2018

Great visuals but I can't find instructions anywhere. It said you can explore the Sunday or night just by pointing at the sky but cant find how to do it.

It was a wonderfull app till some time back, and then they went about adding more and more app. Now it is not opening at all

Chr. F. Feb 12, 2021

Its not to scale! What's the point of the app if it's not to scale? If i'm missing a setting I would be pleased for you to direct me to it.
