Whilst data shown is useful the format and layout is really poor on a 10 " tablet you can't zoom in using pinch and some of the text is so small you can barely see it. The graphs are pretty much impossible to workout the values. Given the large amount of unused screen real estate you could have made it a bit more readable. It is actually easier to read if you use the browser to view your data at least then you can zoom in.
I have two inverters attached to the system, but the sum of the produced energy in the two devices never correspond with the "Summary" value. And it can be a huge difference. Because of this, I never know what is the correct. Also, in Norway, during the summer, it will never be completely dark during the night. This causes that the "produced energy per day" just sum up several days in a row if the night isn't "dark enough". Both the mentioned functions can't be trusted and are useless.
It has a few issues. It works okay as far as giving fairly reliable numbers (matching the numbers on the battery's own display). Data updating is poor, and worse, it's impossible to tell when the data was recorded, until you refresh a few times and see it tell you "5 minutes ago" instead "4 minutes ago". The "Self-use" is calculated incorrectly AFAICT, and inconsistently.
Seems a very useful app so you know easily what's happening with your PV SYSTEM at all times. In my case the PV System has been very unreliable and has crashed regularly for 4 months since the installation by HomeSmartEnergy. No-one has come to fix it. They just keep saying it's the 'firmware' on the inverter. Not the fault of the app.
Quite like it but has some errors. First graphs only sow one thing again a time do hard to compare generation and consumption. Second there are some errors, for example I briefly consumed 800 w from the grid in the middle of a long export period, the graph shows me both importing and exporting fir the last 2 hours. Graph does not agree with the desktop app. I do like the little graphic showing where power is hoping
Update to earlier review. I have added a star since I found how you can edit the plant details. First tap 'Edit Plant' in settings menu (3 dots in top r. corner) then scroll down to Other Settings and look for the 'greater than' symbol on the right side next to 'Other info'. Tap it and a new window opens with all the fields editable. I still only give it one star for ease of use, though.
This horrible app is barely functional. You can not log into the website using the app account. Updates are slow, every ten minutes if you are lucky. You can not adjust the scales on the graphs, and it doesn't show the battery level.
Could be better. Not totally accurate info , not real time - as at 10 mins ago, layout needs a bit more thought. Options to tailor screen and refresh data rate would be a nice feature.
So started using this app and it was great, 5m updates and showed the status really well. But alas over time it's usefulness has been eroded to near pointlessness. I suspect I'll uninstall it soon and remove the access through my firewall for the system. Offers a lot then struggles to deliver very little. :(
Found this app somewhat disappointing. Would be much more use if it showed the information in real time, or at the very least updated automatically every 15 seconds or so. The information shown is out of date. You have to wait several minutes to get more out of date info. Would get 5 stars without the time lag.
Atleast I get data which on the other Solarman no data is received from the Inverters unless you use an Apple device. A few simplified terms for normal users will make it more friendly it took my a while to figure out what some of the terms actually mean and others I just don't see anything happening when I put info in it. A nice feature will be if I could see the % left in batteries and on the graphs for Power Bought show month total as well. Those 2 will make it 4 star worthy.
It only shows my production and for some reason my consumption is always 2 times my production which isnt right. I cant see how much i export to the grid, self use rate and proper on grid power consumption. It would be great if i can get some support to sort these issues out.
Very annoying. Hard to understand as it's obviously written in another language, then translated (very poorly) into English. It says that the logger is offline, but the inverter is online. Trying to connect the logger is impossible, it just goes round in circles. Zero stars if possible.
Can't connect logger by scanning or entering S/N. I get the message that the logger is connected, but nothing happens. Can't add it in the completely dysfunctional webapp either. The English translations are bad. Seems like a hastened and low effort app.
Works well on Samsung Note 9, and tells me most of what I need about my Sofar hybrid inverter with pylontech battery pack. It is quite technical, and not trivial to set up. Service can be slow to respond and update - the website too.
Good app. Very informative and useful. The only drawback is we can't change the currency and unit rates of the local power supplier. If this could be solved it would be a great app.
New to apps linked to an inverter. Not new to solar power as had it twice now. This is the best thing ever! Seeing exactly how much energy you're making and how much money it's making for you too. Still trying to find my feet with this app but sofar so good 👍
Sometimes I get 105% report on solar production! I would love that to be true but it seems impossible to get 5.10 kwh out of a 5kwh system. Also, it is slow to update itself. Overall, it is quite useful
could be much simpler. gives a host of information that if you were a trained solar installer I'm sure you would understand. needs to be more user friendly for the layman. Even my Solar installer say it's the worst they have seen. 12/11/20. Still no better. I don't want to see what was happening 10 mins ago. Please sort this so it's realtime..07/21. After recent work on the app it's worse. Glitchy and still same update problems.
Not very good, only shows a snapshot of generation or battery use on first start of app, does not have real time display. Only way to get app to update display is to close it and then re-start the app, pull down does not update app.
App is good but the logger won't stay connected to router. It will just get connected once or twice a day. So very inaccurate readings. Please improve your servers.
Why does the app not show the correct Home Screen as shown on the app advert, as per the ME3000 Inverter Screen, have to delve through several menu's to get the info. Also as others have mentioned it really needs the info in real time....
Very average, no inbuilt alerting. Graphing options - in particular views of more than one data element - are really poor. Support don't respond to feedback.
application is in chinese and the english is not well translated. app needs to be more user friendly for owners to control where this data goes. current configs, logs head to aws but in china. not happy about that
Ok app, but graphs too small to read font, should be a separate screen and in landscape. Would be nice to show max battery discharge level or percentage each day, since discharge level goes from evening through early morning of next day.
This is complete rubbish. Apart from the poor translation that makes using the app and understanding the data in a meaningful way impossible, I frequently encounter issues with the app not syncing/connecting with the inverter. The instructions are illegible/non existant, as is support. The whole experience is poor and feels incredibly buggy and frustrating.
