This app covers the following topics:
1. Types of Unit Cell:
- Primitive/Simple cubic unit cell.
- Body-centred/body centered cubic unit cell or bcc.
- Face-centred/face centered cubic unit cell or fcc.
2. Types of Packing:
- Packing in one dimension.
- Packing in two dimension.
- Packing in three dimension.
3. Types of Voids:
- Tetrahedral void.
- Octahedral void.
You can also imagine its crystal lattice by visualizing all the unit cells.
Purpose of making this app:
- Unit cells, packing and voids are actually 3D is shape and we study it in 2D in chemistry books. So, it becomes harder to visualize and understand it in 2D. This app helps the students of chemistry to visualize it in 3D as such they can understand it better.

Although the app is very good but I think that some more things should be integrated into this like defeacts and some other packing. And some calculation should be integrated so that students could understand the concept clearly. Overall the app is very interesting 😊😊😊😊.........
Very nice app! Thumbs-up 👍 from me. But need to be improved in some areas. Specifically some more animations like multiple unit cell joined together and position of all octahedral voids, should be added.
Thankyou for making a beautiful app for solid state but i would like to recommend one suggest- to add the option which can't enable us to see the extended arrangement of shape/void in which we can zoom in and out
Great app. My head was hurting rendering tetrahedral voids, I even stopped studying due to this. Finally, found this app on Google search and oh boy, it's beautiful! Seriously, it's like a blessing and really helps learn solid state easily. Great job devlopers.
The graphics are good, but the app is missing FCC and HCP, which is what I installed it for. Pity.
Great app. 3 stars because more information is needed to be installed. For example u didn't include hexagonal closed packing and cubic close packing.
It is best app to take help for 3D visualisation in chemistry.... But I think developers need more to update the app and add some more 3D concepts... Like monoclinic, triclinic... I think they will...
there are other things which are missing. but everything this app has is perfect, and very good for understanding the 3d shapes
Very good app for visualisation of solid state structures and arrangements but I suggest devs of this app to give option to change the sensitivity of the movement of structures... But all over great efforts by developers of Solid State 3d app... ✨👌
It was a bit nice experience with this app as compared to other apps made for understanding of solid arrangements pf mattet .But they should also include the different types of arrangements of atoms like triclinic, monoclinic etc
Could do with measurements in centimetres for example would help a lot with visualisation of similar sized things that are not identical in size and angles too and curvature if there's a unit for that
It's 3D visualisation is best for chemistry students. I just always refer to use this app .it has better understanding &one more thing it's very easy to use.
Firji app. Total waste of time nothing else . the animation which its showing is very cheap and on google only we can find much more better explaination . it wasted my 20 min . so warning you to not to download and waste your time here.
A great app!! Please try and include HCP(Hexagonal closed packing) as it is very difficult to visualize, and would be immensely grateful to you if you could add that!
It is good but please add different topics to it. Like octahedral void and cubic void, hexagonal 3d and 2d packing, the 7 types of primitive unit cell,etc.
Thanks dev! I was finding it hard to understand voids in 3D on printed pages. This made it so easier to understand!
only the basics are there.. this app is time waste only when internet speed is slow because to go through the content it will not even take about 5 minutes..consider another app named "mt.apps crystal viewer" at least that app have some content
It would be better if there are about more confusing parts like AAA / ABAB / ABCABC types of close packing, comparison of octahedral & tetrahedral voids, void occuppied structure of solids & etc...

Not good , because I can't zoom this structure .And you can't see , what the void looks like from the inside of the void .
Good application.. But they should also provide user friendly manual zoom in and out facility
it was ok but it doesn't contain full topics and also don't allow user to play around with different structures (combine them)

my experiance was nice with this app but it will be awesome if the structures can also be zoomed in and out in this at app
The 3d models are excellent, but it would be nice if HCP packing was also covered.
If the tetrahedral and octahedral "voids" get filled with colour and rest atoms get removed so that we are able to picturize the void it would make things easier to understand.
Really nice visualization tool for cubic unit cells and void space. It falls down hard on the close packing topic. It shows a primitive or simple cubic as close packed. I want to suggest this tool for my students but I'm not sure if it is worth the confusion that may follow. If you would change it to an ABAB vs ABC close packing, it would be amazing.
