Perhaps later versions would work better but at this point it only works if I choose car as a vehicle. Taxi section says there are taxis available in my area yet and once I choose a destination over 40km away (that would require 3 interchanges, it just keeps loading a public transport section but nothing shows up. EDIT: After review it loaded the public transport option as well. Still showed exactly the same that Google Maps would.
The app has a great idea, but totally useless here in Sweden or at least for ny use. For the first I can't see any prices for public transport, there are no taxi services, I can place the maps offline from here and there are no public groups or gatherings. For this to be useful I would need to be able to see other car pools, like you can do with goMore. I would need to be able to download maps offline like in my here app. I would need to be able to see Public transport price and buy ticket.
I don't know about this app, man. It feels... forced? I totally get the idea of "social riding" but I just can't see any situation where I'd say "hey, let's use SoMo!" instead of just requesting an Uber or texting whoever I want to ride with. I was expecting more emphasis on the "Explore" part, perhaps something like a Badoo for travelers or so. Or maybe it just needs to grow on people for it to be actually useful. Three stars for the effort.
Well, this is the worst navigation app of the major navigation apps. The maps are bad and outdated, the ETA is SO wrong that I don't think it's aware of traffic the narration sounds weird and I couldn't get it to carpool. I see no reason to touch it.
Still trying out but definitely what I had in mind to build for our church.... What about safety though, if I advertise a gathering publicly, how can we assure the safety of everyone involved, perhaps some kind of verification? Also just noticed that recurring events lack the daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly etc or simply choosing the days of the week and repeating that until a forever or a certain date...
Not an amazing app, buggy and less user friendly than other apps that do pretty much the same thing, City mapper is far better. The ride share features are kinda cool but nothing you cant do with Uber although uber appears to not be linked to this app.
Amazing app, ride sharing works great, just used it and it was super intuitive and helpful! same goes to gathering which is so easy to create and manage.
Hi, I would like to automatically create a gathering as soon as I drive by car. Example: I drive and use the SoMo navigation. Automatically my trip becomes a gathering. I can then drive anyone who wants to go to the same place as me. SoMo can tell during my trip that Mrs X wants to go to the same place as me. Then as a driver I have the choice to accept or refuse. If I accept my itinerary is automatically updated to pick up Mrs X. Best regards.
A great way to plan a trip together with friends. No more messing around with messaging apps to find out who is riding with whom and where to pick them up.
Works smooth. Better maplook than Google maps. Wish it had a way to avoid highways. I happen to enjoy driving through the streets of Chicago.
Amazing app! It's not cluttered with options though you have the crucial ones. It works quite quickly and I hope all new good stuff to come soon.
For italy (Milan) it's s no. In the use of public transport does not consider the subway, it is not clear why. Also regarding the times of the public transpor rides they don't seem to be completely correct. Therefore surely to review the algorithm
Just started using it, seems fine. Is there a way to have trip repeated daily? Update: Time not accurate and doesn't seem to update with traffic. Also drains the battery.
unable to locate my booked ride, didn't received any confirmation. Got the notification of similar rider very late. in crux the app is not at all user friendly.
Gatherings for work don't recur like I expected them to. I'm not setting up gatherings for each and every trip. Seems like a good idea though. Thanks but I've done that and it didn't recur, hence my review.
Has potential, but unlike in the app's ads on Facebook, there seem to be no support for bike rides navigation.
tried to download, right after downloading for the first time the app won't let me use it saying my version is out of date which is obsurd.. even after reinstalling, the same msg came on..
It works fast, it just needs some additional features like traffic info and alternative routes.
I downloaded this from advertisement on Instagram just to see how it's. I entered and made account then I saw I could not share rides with friends on WhatsApp I had to SMS them. Who uses SMS nowadays in South Africa?! I then uninstalled.
Not doing any travelling/etc., and yet this is the most active app on my phone? I haven't needed any rideshare in weeks, so why is it draining my battery?????? What else is this app doing?
Finally! a car pooling app that is actually friendly, easy to use, and meets the needs of me & my friends!
I'm trying to load my Garmin Connect device. Why do I keep being asked to install this app. I have Google Maps already installed I do not need another GPS app. What does this app have to do with Garmin Connect??
Nice app and seems to be useful! I'm from Perú and maybe you can integrate with TuRuta app which provides information of public transport. Just one question... who are the riders of taxi? do you asociate with any known taxi app?
Strange app... you can create rides but you can't look for them, when you need one. So how will anyone ever see any of the offered rides? 🤔
Can't get past the enter cellphone number . Keep getting error looks like something went wrong. Pleas try again.
Updated: Please fix "Pending download..." in Play Store. It gets stuck and never downloads. Also the app is not usable because of the non dismissable popup dialog. One star just to show up. I may even like the app. The only thing that I'm missing is when I create a route and invite friends, I'm not able to add stops for each one of them. If I'm able to do it, they'll know where to wait, and I - where to drive. I would really love that!
