I really like the app and support Sony but I would like you to strongly consider my two suggestions: 1. Automatically launch into main device's media files instead of having to click on "This device, phone, etc." We have horse the ability to access other device's manually. I want to be able to tap on the Sony Music Center app, and have it go right into my music. 2. Please develop a Dark Theme. I love the app but I don't like the white screen draining the battery. Thanks!! Nice tech fillled app!
What a terrible app. It's irritating because without this app activating the speaker which I've used for years, I can't use it with Google home anymore. Even when the speaker is paired and being used by the phone, the app still can't find it. Yes, it's supported. Yes, the app is literally trash and has no reason to exist aside from data acquisition.
Horrendous waste of time. It simply doesn't work. The speakers and headphones I love. I like the ability to connect multiple speakers which it takes me about a minute to do manually. Note that they should be of the same generation. But the app is a black hole, a waste of time. Tried on Samsung S21 Ultra (current phone) and on prior Samsung phones with the same results.
I don't see the point of the sound effects. The audio controls are good. I think I like the intelligence of the Sony Speaker and how it activates the Music Center app. I can "add apps" to the interface for quick launch. The lighting is pretty good, though I wish they can be manually controlled. The auto shut down feature doesn't update me with the battery level when turned back on. All in all, Music Center does it's job. I think more features would be nice.
After sending many all caps emails, you happened to fix the error i was having. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! Our wedding went spectacularly, and the music was never an issue. Thank you for fixing the app.
It's alright. You can create your own sound profile or EQ which is nice. However, even though it says the CUSTOM sound profile is on. You have to go into the app everytime you reconnect to Bluetooth to actually get the EQ to work. It sounds like it just defaults to mega bass unless you click on CUSTOM again, even though it says its on. Which is very annoying.
Simply friggin mind-blowing! There is definitely room for improvement with certain things(illumination and sound options should be on front page), but overall it's amazing especially since there's nothing like it. JBL, eat your heart out!
1. Why is there no way to empty the play queue? 2. Why is there no "play now" option in album / artist /song menu? 3. First time I opened the app I could not find a way to actually start playing music after clicking "play next" or "add to play queue". After clicking around for 30 minutes I found that I had to go to the songs view and click on a random song to bring up the actual music player. Horrific, unusable mess of an app.
Pros: 1. Better Equalizer and true bass. (best hearing experience) 2. Neat and Nice UI; Cons: I am putting everything in feedback box below... As far as I know there is no big cons.; Feedback:1. A Dark theme 2. This would be best in class if you have made a option to add lyrics to any song we want manually.. It'll be superb.. No correction needed forever...
It used to be better but now the earphones volume turn up to full blast when I first initiate the app. There is apparently some compatibility issue with the newer versions of Android
I am so in love with my new Bluetooth speaker from Sony!!!! And, the Music Center app just makes me love it even more!!! It's so nice to finally have a Bluetooth speaker with an app that actually does something and has a fairly decent EQ in it. The price for the speaker was quite reasonable, especially considering the extras I get from using the app! It's basically easy as hell to use! No long instructions, no ads, it's all good here...
This app has worked in the past but now when I try and set up my srs-x77 in wifi mode the speaker always fails to join the network. The "link" light is solid which is supposed to mean it's connected but it's not. I've only had a few Sony "smart" products but it seems that every one is let down by a lack of software support and/or updates. In most cases the support lifespan is short and the software during that time is still buggy and limited.
Mediocre, boring design, hard to navigate. Changing a basic setting like illumination for a speaker is buried within 3 different selections. Really needs redesigned.
Well it works as a music player app, but there are no wigets and it's weird trying to shuffle songs, you have to select a song, then press a different button that'll let you play random songs in the playlist, so basically what a shuffle button would usually do, also I can't find a dark mode and it's painful trying to look at the white screens, and it just feels weirdly unresponsive compared to other apps, just making it feel kinda slow when pausing or going forward/back
I have two Sony SRS-XP700 and I'm constantly fighting with this app to get them both to connect. On stereo mode, they'll randomly become unpaired. In party mode, one speaker will randomly not play any sound - but they're still connected, because the lights are following the music on the speaker that isn't making a sound and the volume control communicates with he other speaker. You have to ungroup and regroup and it might end up working after maybe 10-15 minutes of fiddling with it. Terrible.
The app crashes constantly when the phone is connected to my SRS-XB23 speakers. That's quite disappointing since I wanted to use the equalizer to adjust my speakers.
It would deserve way more if the app was better optimised performance-wised, I would like to see fresh look for the aplication and better update support for speakers, not needing to install 2 different apps just for lights etc. OFFTOPIC Why is Sony not giving option to connect two speakers from different generations when clearly Samsung dual-bluetooth-audio works but there is a latency between speakers which could be fixed if there is a manual calibration slider.
My Bluetooth and NFC are on. The headphones are detected by the phone and playing Spotify, but when trying to detect inapp to register, the music center will NOT pick them up. Have tried multiple times and even tried on a different phone to make sure my phone wasn't the problem.
Settings are quite limited and basic. The UI feels unfinished and the features are, again, quite basic. Would like more options to tweak sound, timer settings,. A cleaner UI, speaker photos shouldn't move/overlap the other buttons. A stabler double/stereo mode connection.
After Google Play Music player app I trust this application. I searched for a music player for a long while because Google Play Music player stopped their services of offline. All kinds of the application in the Google Play Store are practicing many data mining into the user documents. Very Few are only trustable. Hence I am sure this will not do anything like that. I am so happy
An absolute amazing app for those who are searching for music player that supports and plays high quality sound. Even better than Poweramp. Still it needs improvement in UI department otherwise an exceptional app.
its ok but should be able to use the search button on radio to search through music in apps like you can on pandora whith out the app In the app you can only switch sources and skip songs you cant change stations even on pandora wich you can do with out the app, app never conects consistantly This app has honestly given me a bad taste for sony products
A really frustrating app. I have a sgnote 9. Keeping a Bluetooth connection w my Sony GTK-XB72s is difficult, making the pair for party music perilous! You get a text, cutoff, you pause for 10 mins, cutoff, you switch media sources, cutoff, you access another Bluetooth device, cutoff. Very unreliable. Also, regarding connecting two speakers, it works, barely. You have to put them no more than 3 feet apart and then race back and forth from each speaker 4 times. Ridiculous. Its 2022!
With this app you will be able to set your volume settings and equalizer just like you want it. Presize, quick and easy to use. Different settings available for your Sony Bluetooth speaker(s). Integrated Spotify (or Amazon music) links.
I have literally no idea what this app does or why I needed to download it when I bought my headphones. Talks about being able to play all sorts of music and stuff but I still have to enter the individual apps in order to play them so it doesn't really do anything that a folder on my home screen would not do.
Typical Sony as it has been since the 80es: absolutely amazing hardware, dreadful software and experience. I bought a pair of XB31 to have a stereo setup, with the idea of pairing them with several devices, all things that were possible according to the online articles. Well, it is, if you're willing to fight with Bluetooth pairing each and every time you turn the bloody things on: you connect to a speaker, the other one "needs setup", and setting it up sends the first ine in the same state...
