Despite the Dev abandoning this app, this is a treasure piece for all DM's out there, it simply does what you always needed... You can take your collection of musics, sounds and ambience and start using right away... It is very simple, so you don't need to waste time to change scenes, and your players will be pleased. I didn't use music in my games before this app, but thanks to this now I do, and in my opinion, the only way to do so...
This app is perfect for DMs wanting to add music and sound effects to the game table. To be noted however, is that you need to provide your own sound files. This app allows you to manipulate music and sounds you already have a copy of, but if you think that isn't very good compared to something with built-in sounds, think again! This app has much more utility and customization than other apps that simply give you lots of tiny buttons that play individual sounds but are a pain to hunt through.
Great for what it does - audio for tabletop games or any other situation calling for sonic ambience. Too bad it is no longer maintained as there are a few bugs with volume/settings not being saved at times. You are not locked in to any preset sounds and have complete freedom to use your own creativity. As an aside, I doubt these 1-star reviewers could even figure out how to PLAY a d20 let alone DM one, which is what this tool is designed for.
Great app if you actually know how to use it unlike most reviewers who complain that it does nothing. Sadly it's been abandoned by the dev, no updates in the longest time and it crashes constantly for me now on my devices.
This is a must have if I am DM. I had it on my tablet for a long time and loved it. I'm glad I rediscovered it for my phone. Buggy af and not great for the tablet. But the best free app for the job.
Fantastic app if you have a collection of background music for rpgsand want to combine them with sound effects. Definately recommend it.
Changing the volume of a sound effect is not easy, and effects on loop are not necessarily gapless. On certain tablet sizes (Nexus 7), you are forced into portrait mode.
Didn't come with music or any sounds, so it's relatively useless
I have not messed with it but i notice when i go to pick music, spotify was not a choice...
Didn't come with any audio
I was looking for an app like this thank you very much
Not what I expected. Very useless
The in-app help link is broken
No updates since 2013, barely works
All it does is categorize music you already have.
Needs a majestic dragon mascot, singing and playing an instrument, then 5 stars.
When everything is going smoothly, it's a godsend... though there have been hiccups. Thought: Why is it that every app has to spoon-feed people nowadays? Part of tabletop is putting the effort in to create ambiance, not using canned sounds over and over. Be creative! Go forth into the interwebs and discover your own unique sound combos instead of just complaining that someone hasn't bundled it up and given it to you already.
It really added good atmosphere in our last DnD session. It's a bit complicated to get used to but I certainly does it's job well during play. Volume control could be improved for events.
Real time volume control for events would be great. First, setting the volume as you create the events is guess and check. Second, I would like to be able to turn rain volume down slightly when the players enter a building or such.
Seems like it would be cool. But it said package file invalid when I downloaded it. HTC EVO 4G
I might just be me, but I am not finding this app very intuitive. I have tried adding my music, but out won't list. Also, it may be good to remind user of long hold features. This app needs work.
I'm using this for Call of Cthulu roleplaying, but the white theme is kinda off.. I wish there was an option for a full screen background and black theme with white borders and text. I'd gladly donate if this was implemented.
This application may inspire someone to make an actual useful and easy to use RPG application.
This is a great idea and would be a good app. if it actually worked!
If I wanted to pick and choose the music personally ill just play the radio or something off my computer, not add another music player program to what I already have
Better than what I used back in the day when I GMed regularly. If it also had a dice box and some system for randomly selecting things from tables, it would be the best mobile GM aid ever.
I was surprised it didn't come with music (or links to music), but that was just a minor irritation for me since I could just use it to organize what I did have. Unfortunately, it's a convoluted trail to get stuff added and organization isn't as simple as it should be. It's an empty app, like buying giant tupperware at the store to organize your dice! Useless!
