SonicWALL® Mobile Connect™ provides users full network-level access to corporate and academic resources over encrypted SSL VPN connections. The client provides anytime, anywhere access to critical applications such as email, virtual desktop sessions and other Android applications.
REQUIREMENTS:SonicWALL Mobile Connect is a free app, but requires a concurrent user license on one of the following SonicWALL solutions in order to function properly:
• Dell SonicWALL Next-Generation Firewall appliances including the TZ, NSA, E-Class NSA, and SuperMassive running SonicOS 5.8.1.0 or higher.
• Dell Secure Mobile Access (SMA) 100 Series appliances, formerly called SonicWALL Secure Remote Access (SRA), running 7.5 or higher.
• Dell Secure Mobile Access (SMA) 1000 Series appliances, formerly called E-Class Secure Remote Access (SRA), running 10.7 or higher.

For everyone having an issue with the app connecting and no traffic passing, there was a firmware update around April that removed compatibility for the Compression Control Protocol - which is the protocol that Android phones use for SSL VPNs. The most recent firmware version, 6.5.4.7-83n, includes a fix that re-enables this protocol. Once you install the firmware update, traffic should pass through the app again. Once I installed the firmware update, the app started working as expected.
Used to work, doesn't now. Seems like the latest version doesn't pass traffic with certain firewalls. Works fine with an SMA device but not an NSA. iPhone/iPad version works fine so I know it's not a device configuration.
So far so good! I installed this on my Android phone quite some time ago. I used it to get and put files on my own home-office network, as well as my clients. If NetExtender works, so does this! I've even been able to print a document at my home office remotely!
Tapping on the notification should take you to the app's main screen instead of the app's info in settings. Even better, there should be a way to disconnect from the VPN right from the notification bar.
I have a sonicwall SOHO Firewall WiFi router with VPN setup. I have no issues connecting with other devices, but when I try to use this, it fails and says either no supported sonicwall device or that it is offline. I use the SonicWall Global VPN client on other devices without issue.
App worked once, now it will not connect. My android notifications states the ssl vpn is connected but I know it is not based on my ip address. Within the app it also says I am not connected and does nothing after entering password just refuses to connect with no error message.
Can not connect but once in a blue moon. Always says "Connection closed by peers" however on my PC and everyone elses it works just fine.. I have the correct info typed in, when i try to use the mobile app. For my boss, it doesn't work either.
App has been broken and completely useless for months now. It allows you to connect to your SonicWALL, but you can't pass traffic and do anything. I reported it but nobody cares. You would think in the middle of a pandemic when everybody is trying to work from home, there would be a little bit of focus on this. Way to let your customers down, SonicWALL.
Latest update broke it entirely. Cannot pass traffic on split tunnels. Can only ping DNS servers thru tunnel but nothing else. All other routes don't work. Nothing changed on VPN appliance. App update on Android broke Android clients.
Constant Problems. This app consistently disconnect and doesn't reconnect. It will ask for my password and then it says my password is incorrect and then tells me the IP Address in Pool is exhaused. Very frustrating. Do not use this VPN.
Doesn't seem to work with Pixel6 Pro or Android 12, unsure which is the issue. It completely falls to detect the installed RDP apps. Probably not working with the OS.
Useless, registered a call to sonicwall, sonicwall advised to upgrade firmware of firewall, firmware upgraded but result as it was before upgrade. By surprise from win10 desktop sonicwall sslvpn is working! But from Android devices it doesn't.
Works on some android devices. However does not even connect on a lot other android devices. So only works if you are lucky. Always gives radius error on Xiaomi Mix 2s. App is not updated for months. No response on reviews.
App quickly disconnects all of a sudden. There is no loss of connection from a wifi standpoint. It may connect for 2 seconds but quickly turns off
Sometime it forgets my user/pass for VPN connection (Galaxy S9 plus, Android 9). On my other phones/tablets with older android versions, this issue does not happen. Kindly check and fix.
google pixle 3, with latest os updates on google fi service and this app.. fist off its a battery hog, this app surpasses all other apps on my phone for draining battery. fignerprint? Yeah, cheked to activate, its never even prompted me. Updates.. yeah, another no go station. Appears that sonicwall is an iphone fanboy, all my office mates that use the app on thier foofy iphone say "no, its updated all the time and works fine" so clearly sonicwall caters to lest than 20% of the smartphone market.
It seem doesn't working. Can connect to server, when you put sever information it said "the information incorect or server unavailable", while server is connecting with the other device. Any idea to resolve it.
Worked great up until July 2020. Can connect to the VPN server, but cannot pass any traffic beyond that. Samsung Note 9 Android 10. Shame, it was a great app.
Don't work since last update, I'm revising my review to 5 start. I reacted out to support and they were very responsive in creating a hotfix to the firmware. Now working flawlessly.
Very well made and in Android integrated app. Fingerprint authentication is another plus for ease of use. Works really well.
Love it! Works like a charm to give me remote vpn access as a client and serves as a great fallback capability to my existing site to site sonicwall vpn. Very pleased with the sslvpn feature that is enabled via this client app.
Taping the VPN notification doesn't open the Sonicwall app and allow disconnecting....you need to find the app, open, then disconnect.
not working. no option for preshared key. keeps getting message of either not available or not a valid appliance. I am using sonic wall mobile vpn on pc which is working fine.
No Stable release, Business is getting affected using this app ,There are lot of version difference between website and playstore and release date difference, For some version in Android 10, 5.0.16 is not showing.
Doesn't work on Galaxy S9 or Pixel 3 anymore after firmware update to latest Sonic OS. Works on iPhone 6s and Samsung A8 still.
App not working to connect on my phone or tablet but there was an update for my laptop. When will the app be updated to reflect laptop access.
No Internet or local resource access after TZ400 FW updated to the latest version. Tunnel All mode: Disabled. Is there a client update available ?
No longer works after the last update. Traffic is no longer routed through the vpn gateway.
I have 2 SSLVPN licenses. I can connect 2 android phones at the same time but, only allow the first android to send and receive packages
There is a bug in this app. If using SonicWALL's SSL-VPN to connect to a small office network that does not have internal DNS, you must use WAN DNS addresses (such as 9.9.9.9, etc). However, when connected, the SSLVPN client in split tunnel mode, you cannot reach the WAN DNS addresses, which means when you're on the VPN, you get no internet. The problem specifically occurs on Mobile Connect for Android, not iOS or Windows. The only current workarounds are 1) Use tunnel all mode, which severely limits performance, or 2) Set up an internal DNS server, which is not always practical.
