Only works if you sign in. And then you have to pay. Thanks, wont buy... Edit: I didn't want to use any remote feature. Just wanted to try a live microphone usage on LAN. Even in that case, the app asks for a Google sign-in. I don't want such a basic app to reach my Google account. Besides it is really a very easy feature. I am just developing a simple one for my own use.
Can be temperamental and not connect to WiFi: "sign in failed". No menu or settings place to try to fix this yourself other than uninstalling and reinstalling. Customer service is pretty reactive though although still not sure whether the issue will reappear which would be very annoying... When it works (that's most of the time) it does what is intended which is to broadcast messages through WiFi to the Sonos speakers. May be annoying for the recipients but this is part of the fun 😉
App constantly disables on its own! This is a problem as it is not reliable. When we want it to respond the ring doorbell for example, nothing happens. And to find out that it has auto disabled (like a timeout), is very, very frustrating.
*EDIT: Clearing app cache + data worked to fix the issue I was experiencing for the time being. Not sure why uninstalling didn't work 🤔 Thanks for the quick response.* Everytime I open the app, the splash screen appears and then tells me "Failed to Sign In". Happens after I've uninstalled and reinstalled as well. Purchased the lifetime credit usage when I started using the app, but for the last two weeks it's been literally unusable.
This app used to be great. Since installing a home wifi mesh a few weeks ago, it never finds all my speakers. It seems totally random as to which it finds and when. Sometimes (like just now) it found none, sometimes just one or two. Very annoying.
I run this on a 16 speaker Sonos system running off a SonosNet configuration plugged into an eero mesh network with 7 nodes. This app is among the greatest of all time and the developer responds lightning quick 🎩. 5 bucks once for this service is an incredible bargain. Google sign is is more secure than setting up an account and is appreciated. Nearly all of the negative reviews I see are unfair. Just send him a note if you can't get it to work, or spend 3k on a PA system or buy 6 Alexas.
By far the fastest responding support team. reported an issue and was fixed instantly. the app is nice and easy to use with lots of potential. the notifications on my speakers for incoming messages is pretty cool.
Easy to install and use. Now i have a whole home intercom! Developer worked through an issue quickly and on the weekend no less! Wow, never experienced such care.
Works... but I don't care for the price to keep using it. Edit: Quick response (I like that) and I was confused so I raised my rating and changed the review... but still not worth it to me... but that's just me. If you need intercom like functions via Sonos this seems to fit the bill.
Two sonos speakers on our network, and the app says it can't find any speakers on our network. I was excited to use this, but I guess it was too good to be true that I actually stumbled upon this app.
The app itself is good. I use it as broadcast to my kids. What i think is not is being able to purchase one copy for family use. I paid for mine but wife cant use it otherwise it would be a 5 star. Its not an app we use often so not worth paying for multiple subs. Pushed it up one more star for the upcoming ability to get a family plan upgrade. Will review the new plan soon
I use the App primary with my Ring Doorbell. Everytime someone rings a user-defined message is broadcasted over the pre-determined Sonos Devices. Also works for Whatsapp, SMS, Calls. You can even broadcast you own message(typed or recorded). Example: you have dreadful kids (like i do) playing in the living room while you are on the 1st floor. You can now scream at them over your Sonos! Beware: if you pay for the lifetime plan you don't get a Gift basket! No matter how sweet you ask. 1A Support!
Seems to work OK, but at virtually 5 UK pounds that does seem a bit steep for what it is - even if it is a one-off payment... also, phone reports high battery use. Uninstalling.
Its really fun to use and its helpful but you only have a certain amount of times you can use the intercom. I havnt used it that many times but when u do, do you have buy more.
Phone diagnostics report app overloading CPU & causing excessive battery drain for something that has only been used once as a test. Bit pointless really. Uninstalled.
Freaking awesome! We love this app! Kids love it too. Fun for practical uses like time for dinner. Also nice for jokes too. One of the funnest apps we've ever used.
Sometimes it takes awhile for my speaker to load. The voice broadcast has a little too much lag but it does work
Great app. It lets me use my Sonos system as an intercom. Awesome for waking up my son when his Sonos alarm doesn't get him out of bed fast enough.
It works. But I was surprised that I had to "fill up" after sending a few messages. I don't even know if that costs money. After I was limited, I uninstalled.
"Could not sign in, check internet connection" I have internet, but the app doesn't start. Shame - SONOFY looks good, based on store description.
Not at all clear how to use with either sonos or spotify. Useless.
This has serious potential to displace the entire SONOS media center application. Why waste time on a simple broadcast app?
Love it! Especially the phone home feature where I can talk to my house from anywhere!
great app until last update which keeps telling me to connect to wi-fi even tho I am connected
Still no fix for Huawei owners. :(. My Phone is Huawei P10 plus. This is now fixed
Love the phone home feature, it's saved me so many times!
Why would i have to sign in to my Google account to use this app? No thanks. No option to just log into my Sonos? I try to keep my Google account private.
works well but need option to save scripts
Love what we've seen so far and planning to buy. Price seems totally reasonable to us. Alexa allows broadcasting to Sonos now but only to newer speakers. This app works on the older speakers too (except the remote broadcasting). Any chance of an Alexa skill for Sonofy? Would love a hands-free experience. Star off for Google login. I read your reason why, but Sonos allows email account login so why not same email for Auth? Regardless, thanks for the great app!
