Sound Meter

Seems good so far. I'm collecting evidence for a noise complaint for knocking in my apartment walls. I like the screen shot function. This is the first time ever in actually considering paying for an app. I'll have to get it calibrated to make an informed decision on it though.

Ads get disruptive to the point making this app useless when you want to urgently measure the noise. At the launch you get a bunch of full screen ads you cannot skip, so by the time you get to the functionality - it's too late. It's like rotating the ads all the time while this app is running wasn't enough, with those full-screen ads you don't get to use the app, but you see the ads instead. Uninstalling this rubbish.

I just used this to test my headsets microphone. Very helpfull There are addvert's on my version, but they are nonintrusive and don't hinder the use of the app.

Won't work on my new tablet, was great on the old one. My old tablet ran out of room so I installed the app on my new one and deleted from the old one. But all I get is a blank, white screen. It did work on the old one.

Adds are full-screen and cannot be closed. There is no indication if the SPL level is "A" or "C" weighted, and no way to change it. There is no way to adjust the integratio time for measurements. So basically it is pretty useless.

Have tried more than a dozen sound level apps. This us about as accurate as any phone app. It's ads are not as intrusive as most. Calibration is not well documented, but works ok "out of the box". Am keeping this one.

Love this app, I use it all the time. I had a closed head injury when I was younger so I'm light and sound sensitive. It's great to have a general idea about the atmosphere sound of a place or event or whatever it may be ahead of time so I can plan accordingly. I've used it in so many different environments that I've learned the "norms" for many environments.

Not a lot of control over the basic free version, but good response to noise. Levels vary and are not consistent. The calibration resets itself and I'm not sure how to reset it to proper levels other than to reinstall.

Very good and easy to use. Nice images and graphics. I like the callabration features. Only one down side, to reset, you have to exit the app and re-enter it. I don't know if there is a reset in this app.

Works great. You can pause anytime to review the siund level. Easy to download and use. Some ads that do not really get in your way. Thanks sound meter...

Sound Meter works pretty well. I am unsure of how accurate it is, but as a sound engineer for small indoor concerts and gatherings, it helps me keep the sound to a good volume without peeking too high.

Don't often use it. Nice to measure annoying sounds, jets etc. Hard to find somewhere completely silent for calibration. Wish developer would give suggestions. I assume because I have a higher end phone its probably close.

Very accurate compared to lots of other sound meter apps. I didn't have a physical sound meter to compare to, but I did test it against equipment rated for a decibel range and it was within the range.

Very functional. I compared it against an actual sound meter. I got simular results to the real deal. So therefore, this ap receives high marks. It's worth the effort.

Works well did what we needed. Would like to be Abe to catch the peaks beter

I quite like this app. It's interesting to use when out in traffic, listening to live music etc. I would like there to be a red line showing a danger level though.

Well done app. The variable speed chart, and reversible display are great. Would love to have a full-screen, landscape chart!

Good tool for reducing noise in house plumbing system

Wanted to use as a snore meter, but it doesn't save nor can I send it. It does give an idea of how loud his snoring can get.

Simple to use and conveniently useful. Good app, so long as the user has little need of the accuracy and precision of a high-end calibrated device.

Seems to work well once calibrated to a known source

I had noise intrusion from the neighbor dogs barking. The sound meter helped me to substantiate the issue.

Handy gadget does the job intended for easy to use reasonable priced .Not used constant not needed to .I bought 4 extra batteries still in package. Battery in( sound meter compartment )when purchased and long lasting .Sitting in a box done it work for what I wanted it for still in same condition hard wearing gadget .

Seems consistent with itself, which is valuable, because even if the actual dB measurement is off significantly(I have no means to calibrate this), consistency allows to compare the results(in my case home shop noise reduction efforts) . 3 stars because I cannot rate higher without the proper technical assessment.

Solid, functional, and a nice clean interface. Exactly what I want in a utility app. Excellent work.

sound meter seems to be very accurate. I've used this app for many different situations and the accuracy is very good.
