I haven't compared the decibel readings with any other decibel meter, so I can't vouch for scientific accuracy, but this app does a great job of documenting the decibel readings within itself, so I have a good idea of how noise levels compare with each other. The app works simply and effectively in my experience.
less free functions than others apps in the free version. i miss the treshold alert sound that others apps offer for free. In addition i miss the choice of background working, i haven't seen it not even among the pay version functions they show in app.
Excellent app does exactly what it's supposed to do. I paid for the pro version to unlock some desired features. If it's one specification I would like to request for a future release it would be a fully configurable trigger value for the notifications. For example I can select 60dB or 70dB for a trigger value to receive a notification however I would like to set it at 65dB or perhaps even 66dB. Another desired specification would be a visual notification type like the screen flashing. Thank You
Pretty good app if only didn't show Google app Tick Tok caught up in camera shoot I tried rid of it doesn't work Google fault not yours spoiling your app and my shoot of my image to store. Also meter measurement stays can't find how to continue with more meter sounds separately. Any ideas welcome. Not deleting app :as yet looking forward for a reply with kind regards.
Excellent tool for checking the noise on any piece of equipment. The standard version has adverts but up grading they're gone. Simple to use.
Perfect did everything I needed it today I was able to find out what I want you to find out. And that was if it was over 90 DBA . And it was twice that so I knew that a ear plugs where needed.
Playing piano (quiet) on my trumpet from 1 metre away measured 100 and playing fortissimo (as loud as possible) registered 99. There was almost no background noise. Not much else to say really.
Nice interface. Works well. Automatic calibration is handy and it didn't shove ads in my face as soon as I opened or closed the app. Good work
pro: Easy to access calibration. contra: useless scaling 25, 50,.. needed 20, 40, 60, 80, 100; no fast save button. Conclusion: for me useless.
doesn't seem accurate, even after calibration. I tested it alongside an authentic meter and the difference is quite substantial.
Nice but it would be great if the digital figures show changes of color 7 variety in every frequency beat and no showing up of words like library breath factory etc uninstalled :-P
Works very well. I would recommend this app for those in the ehs field who need a quick read on peaks and average dB. This is really close.
Nothing like blasting fullscreen video ads with audio when you are trying to measure spl. Absolutely terrible. Uninstall immediately
Just started using it and wished I had this years ago as worked in heavy metal fabrication where the radios were always louder than the grinders!
Great experience and very reliable app. The graphics are good as well
love the dark mode, the rotation and easy read of levels and quick setting for calibration
Sound Meter is very amazing and fantastic application. I'm really enjoy this beautiful day and I will be very thankful.
This app is amazing thanks for reminding me there's still good apps that actually work!
Suggest a major bug fix is needed - installed twice, wont work. But if only a pitiful 87db, not interested anyway
this is litery so wrong thers not a sound in my houuse right now and the meter is all the way up this is trash
Great app for anyone who has tinitus or beleives they may have difficulties with their hearing.
So far, so good! Very useful for gauging when to use ear protection 👍
give accurate reading.Trustworthy.Easy to use.Great and new experience. But it contains ads.
seems to work fine, hard to find a place quiet enough to calibrate it though
Some of these apps come close but most aren't even close to reading correctly. Using different mics isn't the only issue, same app on different device with same mic yeilds far different results. What I liked about this one was that it was easy to see the results in a number format that can be seen at a distance making it easier to adjust settings at the equipment on the fly. Although your end result may not be an improvement, youll be exposed to the process and can apply it with proper equipment
