Note:
- Spl meter (sound pressure level) uses phone microphone to measure too noisy sounds. Microphones in most android devices are aligned to human voice. Very loud sounds (over 90 dB) may not be recognized in most device. So please use it as just an auxiliary tools. Sometimes the db value calculated by pressure level meter is not as accurate as an actual Pressure Level Meter, and this is due to some smart phone devices microphone are aligned to human voice.

It seems that it won't chart anything higher than 75 dB. I was comparing to an actual meter with its pickup ~3 cm away from my phone's microphone. The meter showed 90 dB while the app showed 75 dB. I guess it's a limitation of the phone's microphone.
I work in a very loud shop, it's great to know exactly how loud it is. The App is pretty accurate too. A friend of mine has a good sound level reader and they were reading just about the levels every time.
I used this app to gauge the decibels of my surroundings, so I could find noise cancelling headsets that would counteract the sound. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that it lacks the ability to scroll though historical measurements.
Compared with a calibrated decibel meter and the results of the app are inaccurate in any aspect. Tried with Note 10 Plus, which decibel meter shows 53.4, this app mesured 44 decibels. Despite the sensitive phone mics, result is disappointing. Not a good option if you need a precise check.
Attractive interface with live graph, max, min, and average db. Back out with 1 click of navigation back key then press Start again to reset stats to 0 and go again. Seems accurate. Had to bump stars from 4 to 5 after using a while!
Pretty inaccurate. The sound that is picking up is lower than than what is shown. I played music from my speakers which should be significantly louder than 60db but it says it's at 57db. It could be the microphone on my phone but I am not sure just doesn't work fore
It is an innovative and advance mobile application now a days for value of sound in decible etc. It is very useful and reliable mobile app. I have given 10 out of 10 to developers extraordinary performance. My experience is best here.
When using app to determine low frequency noise the damn adds at the bottom of my screen covered data. Should put those adds at to of screen. Not considering the user even if not purchasing app it would made experience during testing more enticing to purchase app.
Using this app I was able to measure noise pollution in rental apartment and get suitable ear plugs drapes. It was around 30-40 db due to traffic outside. The app seemed quite sensitive. Really useful.

Totally inaccurate for measuring actual sound levels. I was using it to measure sound from a power generator inside a sound baffle. It was saying that without the baffle the engine output in db was 74, yet I was yelling to be heard from 2 feet away.

Doesn't pick up higher pitches. I ran this app to measure my parrots screeching (so I can pick the best ear muffs), and the app solidly read 26-28 decibels in both quiet periods and during their screeching.
App crashes every time I hit "start," just as the top review described. I took a chance and had hoped that issue was fixed, but it is not. Literally unusable.
