** Attention **
Microphones in most devices are aligned to the human voice. The maximum values may be limited by the device. Very loud sounds(over ~110 dB) may not be recognized by some devices. Please use it just as a reference tool. If you need more accurate dB values, please use the actual sound level meters for that.

I work in a hotel as a maintenance man and I use this to determine if the bathroom fans are too noisy and need to be serviced or replaced. In a this application the app works wonderful.😀

Stood in a noticeably quieter area and moved towards the annoying motor sound. 20 feet away from behind a concrete wall, meter read the exact same. If my ears can notice it is appreciably louder, why cant this thing? Worthless. Two stars because it didnt bury me in ads...just didnt work
