Lousy as ever. Do you guys know of a place that has no sound or is soundless? Even if you do how am I expected to stop breathing long enough to calibrate? Gimme a break ok? For now its the UNINSTALL button. Edit: Upgrade to premium as the ads can distract to a point where you csn get mixed with the control snd callibration. I would happily offer 5 stars if you guys could improve the icons. At this time which icon 8s what is tricky. But a damn good job as I have benchmarked on reference standard
HIGH COST BENEFIT RATIO!!!! Only one word PERFECT 👌 Guys, this is what you all are looking for. An amazing and perfect app up to the mark💖If i could i would have given this 10 on 10. Easy to use and literally satify your need and demand! Good Job team!! No compalaint!!
Used this to determine how loud our new home air conditioning units would be when we get it fitted. Excellent app for measuring sound levels.
Does exactly . What I want . I never give 5 stars until it's been used When I need it . if performance is good Then 5 , poor results , I drop it to 3 .. So 4 means it's working properly and downloaded correctly 👍
For a free app with next to 0 ads I would completely recommend this I am unable to say if this 100% right but I would say its really accurate amd I love how simple it is. It is 3 buttons that's it
Hard to know if it's accurate. Testing my motorbike exhaust to see if legal. Spec says 105db but I can only get this app to register 90 even at high revs.
Great app just not so sure how 2, 500 watt 12" subwoofers are considered a "quiet office" but all round does good job I think.
I have zero idea how Not to sound like a payd add. Ive been testing it for a few days and its spot on. It picks up even my refrigerator at night. This world is never quiet so its impossible to get it at null but it does a pretty spot on job with helping me follow the sound requirements. It records every fluctuation and the arrow moves with everything. Runs without net and adds are no problem. I love it and will use it for as long as it works propperly. Thanks!
It picks up the low frequencies i am hearing. It says its a clock ticking, but there is no clock in the house. It is picking up a deep low sound hitting the walls of the house. No one else can hear it but me. It is very loud to me. This app lets me show people the vibration i hear and feel. Awesome app. Wish it could correctly identify the sound though
It's ok to get a ballpark, ads & popups are a little annoying, but functional to determine how loud outside hangs are. (compared to an AC unit, ya know? ) Comparison notes are helpful & super relatable. "Real time charting" is nice to kind of pick out what is what, but overall use the app sparingly to cut down on resources, and passive listening. I feel neutral, but it works. 4 stars. Tell my family, "hello".
Good app. Stores history. Pause, stop, start. Clear live graph and dial.
It doesn't matter how quiet it doesn't display below around 30-35dB. Makes me wonder if it's a calibration issue or a compatibility issue with my phone or if my phone's mic is just bad. At the other end, fairly noisy environment register a lot quieter in the app than I intuitively think they sound. Like in the street with lots of noise it registered 45db and called it a quiet library. I have no means of indepently verifying the readings but as I said, they feel wrong.
The reading scale is limited to 100. How can we known if db goes above 100.
So far so good.. seems to be purdy responsive and accurate.. hope it doesn't *update*
It gives very accurate readings overall satisfied.
Accurate enough for what I needed it. I just didn't want to be a nuisance to my neighbor. I know that my TV volume does not really go through to his apartment, so I used the app to measure the dbs from the TV and then turned my guitar amp to the equal level;even though the kind of signal is different the level was approximate enough for her to give me feedback and say it doesn't really make much of a difference.
Easy to read, records 30 second, fun
Simple and clear sound meter app with some nice functionality. Only suggestion would be a way to find the max, min, and average values within a subsection of the recorded sections, or at least a way to limit the viewable db axis to more easily see the change between two areas. Besides that a very solid app and I have no complaints.
Simple and functional, once you pay to get rid of the ads. I just wish there was a way to drag along the graph with your finger and see the dB at a specific point, like they do at the Spectroid app.
I play cello and viola and recently read an article about the danger of excessive sound on the ears of string players - even from their own playing! So I went in search of an Android app that could help me measure the range of decibels I produce during practice so I could see how much and for how long and adjust for a healthy exposure period. I tried both Sound Meter by melon soft and Sound Meter by Splend Apps in addition to this app by KTW Apps and only this one had a feature where I could record a duration as a history file - perfect! Yeah, there are ads and they're gnarly-in-your-face if you're not careful how you navigate the options but real life is full of compromises. I'm happy.
I like that this app gives both the loudness of sound in a number value in decibels and an everyday situational example like the loudness of a library or heavy traffic. The values seemed to correlate well with changing sounds. It is very user friendly and more accurate than some apps.
Good to assess and easy to share the finding
Reference levels bear no resemblance to real life and if you tap on "settings" or any other calibration image at the top of the screen other advertised apps open immediately. It is so easy to hit "install"! This is positively dangerous.
I downloaded this app to see what the sound levels were from the Cicadas in Glenwood, Maryland. They are around 75db on June 3, 2021. Getting louder every day. App seems to work very well, and gives you a running representation of the levels.
Seems accurate. Really no easy way to check this app for accuracy and/or calibrate it for accuracy, need a 'standard' for comparison to be offered to serious users. This could be used for sound level analysis for exposure to users and their children's audio present and future health.
Very good app its accurate and quite useful.
It's useful to find out the level of noise that affect our mood without our knowing. This application helps you 'see' just that. In this way, this app. can help you to select a place for effective mental health exercise.... like tai chi.
Great app, used it with Parkinson's patient to boost their speech volume. Compared meter results with the therapist professional meter and results were the same. Thanks for the app.
I find this app accurate, I compared it to a dedicated dB(A) meter with a less than +/- 1 dBA accuracy. The app varied more the higher dB but around 70 dB it was real close. When I dubbeld the effect it started differing slightly more, around approx 73 dB. The app is fairly accurate up to around 85 dB in my opinion. That's awsome considering the hardware, a smartphones mic. Only thing I suspect is that it might be to sensitive on the peak values, but then again it's also about the hardware.
