Note:The Sound Recorder application depends on the device. This means that depending on the device some options might not be available or even work. If you encounter an option that doesn't work on your phone, try a different configuration.

this app has a good selection of codecs that are efficient standardized and state-of-the-art. I pray that mp3 never taints this application as it is a far obsolete and unnecessary codec that needs to die. I would really like to be able to test out the AAC-eLD format in the free version before purchasing, it would also be nice to see OPUS implemented as it is quickly becoming a standard. Also, a VU meter would be a nice addition to the UI
Tried to record a 2 min tune and it froze up 4 times! Plus it takes a while to open. . . This is not for me.

It is great to find this app which supports PCM 8bit u-law audio format for IVR phone system. Easy to use with any issue so far.
