Last updated in 2016, but still works in Android Nougat 2018. This app saved me from resetting my device. I got the headphone jack problem where the OS thinks I have the headphone plugged in, which will disable the speaker. There are two fixes: (1) clean the headphone jack (did not work) and (2) reset the device. I did not want to reset the device. This app lets me manually enable the speaker audio. It's not perfect because I have to turn if off and on every time.

Description is promising. It seems this app is now a dud, hasn't been updated donde 2016. Does not open on Galaxy Note 8 (after uninstalling, re-installing, re-starting phone, and re-installing). Did some research and others are having the same experience: does not open, phone gives notification window stating the app has shut down. Considered getting the paid version, others are having the same issue. If this app has been abandoned even if it performed well in the past, but it no longer works, it should be removed from the Playstore.

Java problems. Took awhile to find out that it was this application which was causing the warning screen at the bottom of my Pixel 3 running Pie Android. Error included "com.woodslink" and "ringer_mode_changed" without the quotes of course. Error 404 when I tried to use the links in the description of this app to report and or check out solutions to problems. Quickly uninstalled at that point. Two stars is a gift. Deserves one at best.

Sorry guys, but couldn't even get this app to open... I click OK on the Trial message and each time the app crashes. I restarted my phone and u installed/reinstalled the p with the same results. I have also been getting this really long error on my screen. Wish I could give it a beret review, but I am unable to even start the app. A shame. LG G6 on Android 8.0 Edit:I will change this review if I am able to get the app to run properly.

Based on the reviews it seems this app does not work on Oreo (meaning it crashes immediately after you hit OK on the Trial Version splash screen). It hasn't been updated in two years so Android 7 was the last version. If you have Nougat or earlier, try it. If you have Oreo or later, don't bother. I'll keep it and try it again in a few days to see what happens when the Pro Version trial supposedly ends.

It says you can use the free version, it crashes instantly if so. Purchased the prokey, opens up a blank page with the text prokey at the top and nothing else. Restarted my phone twice and nothing. I had this app in the past on an older phone and now it's just bad. Disappointed.

Decent app. However, it would be nice if the developers would work on allowing a user to force a Bluetooth mic as the preferred mic. As it stands it only will do this in certain instances designated as phone. Though apps like StarMaker, Smule etc that look for a mic. Will completely dismiss a Bluetooth headset with a mic and just use the internal mic. And since it's technically not a phone app. Setting media and phone to Bluetooth. Has no effect in said apps and they'll use the internal mic. Though you can get Bluetooth recorders etc that test that the mic on the Bluetooth headset works. And also use it for calls/phone. Yet it will not work for StarMaker, Smule etc. So my suggestion is allow a user to force the preferred mic to Bluetooth.

I installed sound about andf soundabout pro on my Note 8 and it immediately stops with message "souindabout has stopped working". I used it on my note 4 without issue and loved it. But on the note 8, it will not run. Sorry for the bad news. Maybe it is the latest Android version that broke the app?

Have a HP Slate 7 tablet and the earbud jack is messed up pretty bad. i got the speakers to work for a second but its constantly saying theirs earbudy plugged in and i even removed the entire jack. i downloaded this app to try to bypass it and no luck. it still wont play my music through the speakers because it says theres earbuds plugged in even though i set it to speaker. I used this app successfully a few times, and then after a phone reset, I bungled up the settings and couldn't get the sound back. I wish android would just get the basics right, so we wouldn't need apps like this.

No stars ( I had to put one to post the review), because the app simply doesn't work! I paid the £2.99 for the 'Pro Key', which does nothing but present an empty screen... no way to get to any settings. Have I been conned? I think so!

This pro version of this app worked perfectly to play music on my motorcycle through the bikes speakers and still get navigation directions in my headset. Until I updated my phone to OREO. Has not worked at all since. Wrote developers never heard from them.

Initially it was inaccurate, showing all straight-line. But I decided to try again. 1. Disabled auto pause 2. Changed map view to terrain 3. Downloaded offline map 4. Started absolutely when I put my foot on pedal not a second before

Was good, now abandoned ... Support website is down ... Opens to a blank screen on my phone. I bought the pro version back when it worked, but it hasn't been updated to be compatible with newer versions of Android.

Terrible garbage app. On a S9+ just downloaded the latest version. Only part that works is a pop up that asks you to buy the pro version. App itself crashes every time I try to open it. Complete trash. Uninstalled.

My earphone's mic was not working so i needed an app that could switch to my phone' mic while keeping the earphones connected. This app definitely proved useful. But its kinda bugged. It starts playing music on my phone randomly. 5 stars if u fix this.

I am using using xperia z5 premium... headphones working for music player,video.. but not working during calls.. receiver unable to hear my voice and viceversa.. using the headphones came along with mobile... is it software issue or hardware issue.. give suggestions.. overall nice and simple sw which is working fine....

Wow, it really works to fix my phone. Suddenly my phone won't send audio to my headphones. It keep coming out from phone speaker. But with this app I can make it back to normal condition.

Amazing app, solved the earpiece problem of my phone, which was not producing any output sound through the earpiece. But after using this app, I got my earpiece working again. Thanks to the developers for developing this amazing app.

I wish this could select multiple audio outputs for the same source (so my kids could watch a movie with one wearing Bluetooth headphones and the other wired headphones). Would've bought the pro license if it had this feature.

On many devices, the app doesn't open if you have Oreo , except for asking you to buy pro -- whether you agree or click trial, it shuts down immediately. I am trying to use it on the Umidigi One Pro. (Which Play identifies as Droi One Pro) Ordinarily I never give one star -- but the fact that this issue is so widespread yet it is not mentioned in the description forced me to rate this app One-Star, just so others with the same gear as mine don't bother installing it till there's a fix. (Will there be a fix? Oreo's been out long enough that this should have been resolved, no?)

I can't explain my happiness it fixed my one year old problem in just one click. I even replaced the speakers then also it didn't worked. Thank you so much to the builder of this app to solve the problem!!

my phone is jacked and wont stop going to headphones even though none are plugged in, so this app is wonderful for forcing my phone into speaker mode WHICH SHOULD ALREADY BE ON THE PHONE SETTINGS OR SOMETHING AAAAAA. but yeah, nice app, barely holds space, stays on, wonderful.

I'm having issues starting the app, note8. Stuck on checking the Pro key I assume. Blank white screen upon start-up. I've also paid 2.99. Restarted and reinstalled to no avail. I'm happy to numb to 5 star and post it's working if I can get it working..

I like the extra control over sound but I installed it to handle the 'alarm' sounds coming through speaker when wired phones in.. Only seems to control 'ringtones' and 'notifications' though.. uninstalled

Awesome...This app saved my money. I thought my headset socket/jack was not working first...But after using this great app, my earphone/headset is working after some selecting media audio to headset.While phone shows it is not connected, it still is working well by this app!!!

Fixed wired headphone issues. Android stopped recognising my headphones for some reason, I thought it might be hardware related, but surprisingly this app makes it work again.

Unfortunately, this crashes on the Oneplus 3T right after the trial notice is displayed and I select "OK". Was hoping this would allow my to use the headphones in my bluetooth headset, but not the microphone.

had some problems with my headphone javk after i accidentally got water in them and this app worked perfectly for the problem, one thing id change is just it being about to play on the speakers when i unplug my headphones but thats it, otherwise it worked perfectly:)
