SoundCloud Pulse: for creators

Not a complete experience. Can't send or receive messages in this app, nor the actual SoundCloud app. Can't delete songs in this app. These are two basic things that is disappointing to see as a creators gateway to SoundCloud. Now for the pros, it's very clean, very quick to use. Intuitive. I love being able to see my stats. Wish I could see the stats from algorithms in here though.

Personally I don't think we need a different app to work this out. It'll be better to just make some changes to the original soundcloud app for efficiency and also highly recommendable is a messenger where you can reply to messages you've received. It seems like this feature is only supported on desktop browsers. But if you can integrate this in the apl, it'll be great.

I can understand if you're experimenting with trying to integrate the functionality of the pulse app into the main SoundCloud app, but the way it's being done for mobile is adding more frustration than convenience. I like what they did on the desktop side, giving you a choice to switch between Classic view and the newer insights view, and I think that should be translated over onto mobile.

Poorly executed. This application allows the bare minimum of control. Having the ability to simply upload on the go without using the website would be ideal as well and it doesn't seem like it would be rocket science to have that implemented. It'd be linking the app to the same upload link as the desktop. Many people including myself have content ready on the cloud and would appreciate being able to manage that fully from their devices. Especially considering that this app is "for creators"

Rubbish. I want to make a playlist public, can't even do that from this seperate app I was forced to download for basic control over my account... The worst thing is, some of the in app links just take you to the main SoundCloud app (like viewing profile?), it also looks rather dated imo. The only good thing here is access to some cool stats, but that's the only thing I can think of and it's not worth keeping the app for that.

You removed the insights tab and all that is left is a message to visit the main app which barely shows any insights on views. The pulse app showed a detailed version and now as it is since the latest update, is completely useless and the main app barely shows any information. I see no point in having 2 seperate apps with no information. Either bring back the detailed insights or incorporate everything into one app because right now both are useless

Why not just include this all in the regular soundcloud app? It's annoying that I need two seperate apps knowing I can alternatively access all of this from the website. That said... The coding is decent, seems well optimized & well made. However, it uses a lot more data than it should which is unfortunate if you don't have unlimited. Easy to use, very accessible, very straight forward, & a fairly sleek GUI. 3 stars because I shouldn' need 2 apps to do this otherwise I'd give it 5

Cant login with facebook. Cant sign into the app using email and password because I have a facebook linked account. Regular soundcloud app works just fine. When trying Pulse it says "you cannot use facebook login to login to this app because theres something wrong with the applications implementation." I've also just read in other recent reviews that this app doesn't allow you to upload new songs. That's the entire reason I was trying to use it. We really need a mobile app that let's us upload.

The insights, the primary function of the app, are gone. It claims they are in the main app, but when you try to find them the main app gets lost and takes you to the homepage.... there is no longer any reason to have this, and the one useful feature in it no longer exists anywhere.

This app 100% needs to have a message bank!... no one is gonna have three different apps for one thing. Include a message feature in this app please. It makes no sense to be able to check what's going on but not being able to message or reply to comments and people shouldn't have to pay for that feature on there phones. It's not designed well at all..

Sound cloud is not user friendly, music is limited, people record in their 3rd class voice and upload song. Zero quality of app, options are unable to find, no guidance on internet. Music quality is very very poor it seems i am listening song in last century. Its rediculous. I was un able to make my playlist by uploading my songs. I installed sound cloud plus as well but of no use. Now m switching to an other app. Don't use this app save ur time .

There is a lot more that can be added. I can't even change my name or edit certain options. This has the potential to be a great app so please update it more. Update:the new features on soundcloud almost makes this unusable. However if we shift everything you are allowed to do on here into the soundcloud app itself that would be better, but for now sadly there is a few things I still use pulse for that isn't on the main app.

Why did you move insights from this "for artists" app? Now I have to switch back and forth through two semi-useful apps instead of seeing everything I need on one very useful app. You just made the SoundCloud experience very tedious and long for no reason. It doesn't incentivize us to use the main app at all. I just check my insights still. Can we put the stats back to where they belong? Make the main app more engaging in its own right without sabotaging user experience.

Used to be good but when they phased out the insights feature, the app is pretty much useless. Now we have a stripped down version of the insights feature on the main app. The information is not as in depth and the layout sometimes glitches...

We are all saying the same thing why move insights from the app to the other soundcloud app. This is supposed to be used for managing content and the 2 departments are just not talking to each other. Sound cloud for listening to other peoples stuff, Pulse for managing my content, profile and messages. Simple.

Pointless. Doesnt show all the notifications, cant seem to even see coments left let alone reply to them. "Insights" just tells you to use the soundcloud app, my soundcloud is for my personal use, not my own music. So this is also pointless. Needs a way to easily switch between accounts or being able to merge accounts. Soundcloud is great for listening overall, the UI is aweful though. But for creators, it's by far the worst thing i've used.

There is no option to reply to comments or share songs, have you guys tested this app to see if it even works? I'm using a relatively new Samsung, all the features that are advertised are not there, can't even edit my profile info (on both pulse and the Soundcloud app) what's the point of having TWO apps for 1 service and not one of those apps gives you the most basic of options? I'd say get rid of pulse and don't release it again until it's actually done, cuz legit looks like it's not done :/

With the amount of money soundcloud gets they can do a creator app as extensive as youtube's and actually give you the option to upload songs on the go. Like youtube does. And youtube calls for a video format which is more complicated than audio. So this shouldnt be hard to do and should exist in 2020 of all years. come on soundcloud. The only useful thing about this app is the stats it gives you about your account.

The only thing that got me a little mad (I don't get that mad) was the fact that the Facebook sign in thing didn't work. Other than that I did get it working after digging deeper. I have used SoundCloud for a while and it has been a good music app so yeah (I like the better audio it gives) :) I am happy

Everything I try to log in with my Google account or the normal way. Same thing. "It looks like you are not connected. Please reconnect to try again" my Internet is fine. I even have a WiFi repeater which gives me brilliant connection. This app is broken.

What the hell have you done with the ladt update? I cant log in now. It keeps saying something went wrong. I put the correct log in details. You done something that I cant use it no more. If not fixed. Im deleting the app. And will look for a more reliable app.

Holy. Talk about a garbage app. Why make an app that's just going to bring me to the browser? What is the ULTIMATE reason for that? Also, your sign in options are very poorly set up. I had reinstall the app twice simply because this trash wouldn't let me get passed the sign in page. NOT downloading a third time. If it was possible for a no star or half star even, this deserves it.
