About our Solar System and Planets
All the planets are opaque bodies and have no heat and light of their own. They reflect the light of the sun. Mercury is the second smallest of the planets and is also the closest to the sun. It completes its orbit in a much shorter span of time than the other planets. As a result it takes only 88 earth days to go around the sun.
However, it rotates very slowly, in about59 earth days. Surface temperatures vary between -180oC to +430oC. Venus is identical to the earth in size, so it is often called the ‘earth’s twin’, but it is too hot to support any life. It has a suffocating atmosphere of sulfuric clouds and acid rain. This makes it the hottest planet. Like Mercury, it also has no moon. Venus takes 243 days to rotate and about 225 earth days to move around the sun. A day on Venus is, therefore longer than a year ! Moreover, its rotation is ‘retrograde’, that is, in the opposite direction to that of the earth’s. That is why the sun rises in the west and sets in the east when we see it from Venus.
The Earth is the only known planet with suitable temperature, oxygen and water which together make life possible. It takes 365 days and 6 hours to complete one round of the sun and moves on its axis once in 24 hours. It has one moon. The earth is the fifth largest planet in the solar system. Unlike other planets which are rich in carbon dioxide, the Earth’s atmosphere is rich in nitrogen and oxygen.
Mars is the ‘Red Planet’. It is so called because there is a rust like coating on its surface soil that is often blown into great storms. Astronomers thought that life was possible here, but the ‘Viking’ space probes that visited it in 1976 proved it otherwise. It has two moons. The planet rotates around in a little over 24 1/2 hours. Mars takes nearly twice as long as the Earth to complete one revolution around the sun (687 days), in July 1997 NASA’s Pathfinder landed on Mars and began sending very clear picture of the ‘Martian’ environment. As a result Americans plant on land human beings on Mars before the year 2020 A.D. They now know that the Red Planet has a thin carbon dioxide atmosphere with frozen icecap. The southern cap consists of carbon dioxide, but the ice cap in the north is made up of frozen water.
Jupiter is the largest planet – one and half times the size of all the planets put together. It revolves around the sun once in nearly 12 years. It spins faster than any planet, once in 9 hours and 55 minutes. It is made up of hot liquid hydrogen, helium, methane and is enveloped by frosting clouds. Jupiter can be distinguished from the other planets by its circular light and dark bands and the satellites that circle around it. It has a spectacular Great Red Spot, which is actually a big storm that has existed on its surface for centuries.
Saturn takes over 29 and a half years to revolve around the sun. It turns around on its axis just a little slower than Jupiter. It is the second largest planet and is a ‘gas giant’. It has more than 18 moons. Thousands of rings of dust and sparkling ice encircle the planet and make a pretty sight. Uranus circles the sun while it lies on its side. It has 11 rings and 15 moons and takes nearly 84 earth years to go around the sun. Its rotation time is over 10 and a half hours, while Neptune would take 18 and a half hours. Neptune, Uranus and Pluto are too far and hence they are properly visible only through a telescope.

This is beyond cool. I can hear what the planets sound like! Notice how different Earth sounds on a radio? That's 'cos we're here! At radio frequencies, a planet with a civilisation will always sound very different to an uninhabited one. Black holes *should* be radio noisy; but what you're hearing isn't really the black hole itself -- it's what's emitted by the accretion disk (the stuff outside the event horizon). How about - if you can - adding the signal from a nearby (ish) pulsar?
Its pretty cool, kinda creepy. I wish it had some more sounds (other stars, planets, galaxies etc...) and the ability to download the sounds to use as ringtones or something.
This is a good stimulating inspiring educationally enlightening app. Bringing the secret tangible universal characteristics of our earth world & her near planetary relatives to earth mortals door step.. I appreciate & commend all those who packaged them thus for earthlings access.. however, there's need for further improvement.. which is..each of these planets&moons have their own unique finger print like sound.. this app should include specific planet or moon or earth sounds with each displayed
Well, I will say that I have to admit that I have mixed freaky feeling's about the knowledge of what the planets sounds like. That and of course I'm thinking that they just sounds like spooky, eerie, creepy and then yes I would say completely freaky unnerving too! I mean eerily sounding like ghost's basically of robotics A. i.'s, (Artificial intelligences) combined with the unbelievably massively gigantic sounds of something else other than the planet scraping off the incredibly huge accumulations of tightly compressed air pressures, the ludicrously massive piles of dirt, rock, Clay, sands, and dusty and moist powdered soils and various other sediments together and at once whilst the Misty differing raining clouds, mists and foggy layered saturations of fine watery drops of gathering moisture continue to,... Oh I yeah and then yes ummm,... Water droplets accumulation grows under extremely extra extremest higher pressures that are then thusly quickly.... Oh I yeah and then yes... becoming forcefully pressed together more and more in unimaginably massively powerful thrusting bursts and blasting, thrashing and again churned reverberation weaved into completely compressed.... Oh I yeah and then yes I would like to think that I can tell you about my thoughts on the matter with the sounds that I have heard from this application really really really want to but... I love watching it. It is so calming especially for me because I am a space person and also wanna work at Nasa when I grow up and I also really enjoy learning about the different sounds of different planets make sure you download it if your a space person

loved it! it was cool and all, but creepy and needs more sounds. but it IS the effort in trying and creating SOOOOO, I will give you 4 stars or hearts or what ever.

This app is Awesome. Some of the planets have all these sounds. I wish they had Pluto. Some does sound weird but cool at the same time.
It's a great app and I love listening to it. But it needs updating. Every time I go into it, it gives me a message saying "this was made for an older version of android".
TOTALLY LOVE THE MASTER IF IT COULD BE but on slight problem microphone and a planet how do u do it like REALLY REALLY… so really I wish to give u one star 🌟 but ill keep it at 4 for the grand idea of sounds.
I just blew my nose and my eyes got/had some drops.....I got a glimps and sound of God almighty's glory...... I live in my car and love to be up in the middle of the night... That's my 1 on 1 time with God.... I plugged this phone into the radio and heard it kinda loud... It's dark out there and no one's around. I looked up, The stars are out there... Great sounds /awesome, I just wish that I could play the sounds continuously, thanks for the app guys.
I liked this app but we can only use for listening planets sounds not other things we can play but it's good for listening sounds of other planets

It's pretty cool, 1 thing for sure I'm 15 and I still laugh when I here Uranus. I played the Uranus audio and said that's the sound of it farting😂😂
I do like the sounds but can you clear the sounds more and add pluto?
i understand only earths sound, because when i m going via tunnel same sound there. hmmm this is earths sound. other planets i m not heard.....🤔
Kind of simplistic but has some cool stuff & I liked it enough to add it to my space app library that I'm very picky about. I'm very conservative with star ratings so on my scale 3 isn't actually bad - & to all the dummies throwing tantrums about sound not traveling in space - no it can't. So thats why the planet signatures were CONVERTED to sound waves from RADIO emissions. Try reading things through before getting pissy with negative reviews!
