The app just doesn't work that well. You'd think that for the $ you lay out for the pedal(s) they'd figure out how to create an app that functions smoothly and properly. But no. It has been out for years and is still buggy and problematic. I'm about to sell my Ventris because I'm unable to get the app to function as it should and I can't adjust certain parameters. The failure of the app defeats the entire purpose of the pedal (i.e. being able to fine tune *everything*!)
App needs a lot of work. - Cannot view the details of the presets being browsed. This is especially egregious because there's no way to see what the control knobs do for a given preset. - I should be able to hide pedals I don't own so I don't have to scroll through them *every* *single* *time* - Community filter doesn't allow me to filter by compatible pedals (broken) - Often have to send present repeatedly before pedal receives it Fix these it I guarantee I'll be returning my pedal!
let a knob control two different parameters at once. I guess TC offers such functionality in their compressor pedal (at least). I saw some "custom 1, 2" etc but didn't find where it can be customized. in ventris (or any other dual dsp?) allow option tap in A+B mode to set a relative tap tempo for both engines: was trying to create dual echoverb with a complex rhythm and even though I made it with the app, i was impossible to tap-tempo a pedal without breaking the preset.
Its okay, and a good idea it let's you hear the preamp and EQ changes you make in real time. It could be cumbersome for those who like knobs instead of sliding levels. The Good: There is a library, factory and a community with patches to use an tweek to your own likening and save into your own file. The Ugly: You have to download patches first and play them to see if that patch works for you. IMO still worth a download and trying out.
Works ok but I'm at a loss to understand why there is no native usb support as well as the audio control. Also the SoundCloud soundclips (when they exist) do not work any more, I just get a "error loading" message
Terrible....opens everytime by warning there's no internet connection, when there is. Makes the functions I wish to use, unavailable (community, load presets on the go)...sad that it's essentially useless...
Worked fine to start but now when I click the aftershock pedal it takes me to presets for the vertigo. Fix your app as I cant modify my pedal now (I clicked all pedals, none were correct for the image and none were the aftershock)
Really needs a UX consultant to revamp the whole app. The UX as it is is just HORRIBLE! No way to load a current setting into the app. I bought this thing three years ago and it looks like they stopped trying in 2018! That's really SAD!!!
DEAR GOD!! PLEASE GIVE AN OPTION TO TURN OFF THAT SELECTION SOUND/NOISE. Even when i turn all volumes down it forces the volume back up to max. I don't need to hear that at full volume every time I click .
You have a USB input on your pedal but you CAN'T use it with the app to edit the controls? Garbage. TC can do it and their gear costs half as much
The app desperately needs a way to sort and search presets. It works with plenty of room for improvement.
Works well. Not as convenient as the TC TonePrint app (requiring a cable, vs TC's wireless method), but close.
Get rid of that terrible screech noise. The sound cloud previews never work and always give an error message.
Ive always used spurce audio since bef pro and will continue forever!!!! Keep up the good work guys and gals
Experience the future of pedal effect presets now. Crazy amounts of fine tuning and access to the community presets....SOLD!
Terrible. Maybe you should hire a pro to make a whole new app with all the money you made selling pedals at 400 dollars a pop
This app is very intuitive and easy to figure out. Keep up the good work.
I really appreciate the mobility and convenience of this app.
This isn't just frustrating, it flat out doesn't work
What is the workaround for those who have a smartphone with no headphone jack?
IT IS AN ALTERNATIVE FOR ALL THOSE WHO LOVE SINGING AND STUDIO EFFECTS INTO HIS/HER SONG SO QUICL DOWNPLAY IT
WILL NOT work on HTC One M8. Or any Huawei phone for that matter. I have inverted channels and phases. Nothing. Fix it. I didn't pay $200 for 1/4 of a pedal 😠
Works well most of the time. The mobile phone however sometimes loses the pedal and requires recalibration or simply to power down the pedal.
EVERYONE WHOSE APP DOESN'T WORK: there is an option in the "about" section to invert L/R channels and invert audio phase. This can fix your issues. I inverted phase on my phone and now it works perfectly!
READ THIS IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE. START BY LOWERING THE VOLUME ONE CLICK AT A TIME UNTIL YOU SEE THE SMALL LED BLINK WHEN YOU SEND A COMMAND. SOME ANDROID PHONES EITHER SWAP CHANNELS OR INVERT THE PHASE (very sloppy) . SOURCE AUDIO HAVE A SIMPLE FIX IN THE APP TO CORRECT WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR PHONE. Also, turn off any sound enhancement settings. Otherwise, contact Source Audio directly for help! We can solve most problems!
The mobile app is a little confusing compared to the desktop app. Also no support for the Ventris yet.
Cool app. Need some work. The noise the app makes when not connected to a device is REALLY LOUD! it would be nice to be able to defeat it or something. Also, I'm not sure how it works with other pedals, but with the EQ2, I wish it could control the pedal via USB, and not the audio cable. I have to remove my phones case to use the cable, and it eats up one of the input jacks, but I use the pedal in stereo as two seoarate EQ's.
