SOW - A Planting Companion

Very basic information. The only thing this app does is give you a list of what you can plant and when. Everything else is outdated with broken links.

Kept locking up when adding items yi my garden using calendar functionality. Very little by way of information too.

Not what I was looking for .Needed something with companion plants so I can attract good bugs an not àttract bad bugs

Every time I open the app I am unable to see anything. It's just a blank white screen.

I live in Alabama, so I am in the target audience (please people, don't download any app without research). The screenshots are accurate for what you'll find in the app. The interface is very clean, right to the point, and generally I feel like it was designed for mobile devices, not another cheap website-to-app conversion. Though better intergration with Android's back button and some slight interface fixes would be kind. The directory of plants covers the most common fruits and vegetables grown from seed, but it does not cover bush/tree crops or herbs. I'm not bothered by having a limited selection - I'll take accuracy over a comprehensive list for this kind of app. However, it'd be useful to have custom entries for the garden log. Overall, while the lesser features could use further refinement, the main feature makes this an interesting app for home gardeners, especially novices, in Alabama.

This is an amazing app. You have to realize that it's made by the Alabama Cooperative Extension for people who live in Alabama. It's not meant for people in other states. Leaving a negative review because it's not for your state is kind of like downloading a local news app from another state then being upset because it doesn't tell you your local news.

Well I took time to download this app but could not use it bevaise the state is already fixed as AL and cannot change it- was dissapointing!

It looked like a helpful app. But it wouldn't let me add my region (state, county,zone). So I was never even able to use the app.

Stuck on ALABAMA! Massive fail for everyone not in ALABAMA! Test your apps properly!

I was not able to use it for my state :( Missouri). Are you going to make it usable for other states?

I HATE IT BECAUSE WHEN I TRIED TO ENTER MY STATE IT DID NOT LET ME IT SAYS AL AND MY COUNTY IS NOT THERE. FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!!

So far this has been a very helpful guide. Thank you for creating it! Would you please add hours of direct sunlight for each type of crop? It would also be great if planting dates were included in descriptions so I can plan when to plant things my family likes.

Great start, however do not get consistent results with 'more info' section. A timeline for regional planting would be a great addition next update. (Or at the very least planting and harvest dates in plants not in season for planning purposes) also pictures and descriptions of varieties would be helpful.

I liked the interface, but the plant selection was limited, there were no flowers or herbs.

I wish they would have told me that it only applies to Alabama before i downloaded the app. In the description ot states that i could select region
