Good app, just one problem. The app works fine but it's annoying to constantly have to sign in. Every time my wife uses the app it logs me out, then I have to log in again to turn the lights on/off. I have other WiFi outlet apps and more than one person can be logged in at once. Not a dealbreaker, just annoying! If they can fix this, then 5*.

Works Great! I don't have a lot of "Smart" devices in my house but I do have a Google Home Mini and i thought it would be nice to be able to turn my living room lights on and off, so I bought two CE Smart Plugs at The Home Depot, downloaded and set up the app, connected both plugs and it worked great. I went ahead and added them to my Google Home account and now it's "OK Google, turn off the light" and it does. Great App, great product.

Account setup was simple and quick. No issues there. Had a few issues with getting the device to sync with the network, 2.4ghz is the only accepted frequency. The button on the side helps by holding it down until the green light blinks orange, than the plug network shows up and you can finish the installation.

The smart plugs worked for 7-8 months with this app, then they all just stopped working. I have not been able to connect them again since. The worst part about this app is there is no live support. Only email, and they are very slow to respond, because they are in....... CHINA! What a joke! No support, they and above all else, now I am wondering if China has my email and other information like my wifi passwords? Stay away!

Internet password got reset by my provider. Light switch was working fine w its schedule, but wouldn't allow me to turn on off thru the app. So I followed their troubleshooting instructions to remove the plug entirely. Now I can't add it back at all. Device setup instructions say make sure the light is blinking green. Device setup screen says opposite - LED light not blinking green.. ? On next screen for selecting your Wi-Fi, it just won't accept in input box as selected. So freaking annoying.

Ok, now that the account registration issue has been fixed on their end and I was able to activate my account, I was able to get my plugs set up. I had a slight hiccup that when I went to connect to the plug, my wifi tried to disconnect due to no internet, so be sure to click the little popup and choose to stay connected. After that app set up easily and got it connected to my Google Home via a routine and can just say, "Hey Google, Activate Christmas" and all my plugs activate then plays music

You can only have a single device signed in at a time so in a household of multiple devices, only one person can have control over all of the smart plugs. This also applies when integrating with Google Home. If the device that controls the plugs leaves you can't control the smart plugs. You have to have a dedicated device just for the plugs and you can't lose it or let it die because again you lose control of the plugs. Buying a hub is not an option.

Have been using for a year. Recently, all my devices were removed from my account and I have been unable to readd them through the app. Literally nothing has changed from my end other than the fact that the app no longer recognizes my smart plugs. My smart plugs have gone from smart to dumb simply because this app stopped working. Will update my app rating when this is fixed.

They worked so well we started using them for the lamps in our bedroom. I just bought a two pack to use for the tree and mantel. They are super easy to set up (the app guides you thru the process) and they start working immediately. You can have Alexa turn them on or off or use the app or better yet, set up a schedule on the app.

Do not buy this product. Smart Plug setup is outdated. Modern phone won't show an open wifi network before the multitude of secure networks in the local area. There isn't any method of knowing the wifi SSID without finding it on a device. Basically, if you live in a neighborhood or have multiple wifi networks nearby, good luck finding the wifi SSID of the plugs. Without that, set up is not possible.

Has worked great on my iPhone since the installation. Love the fact that I can set timers to turn certain plugs and switches in at various times of the day. Also has worked great when I am traveling or away from home so that I can control my smart devices.

The app never gets pass where you select the device for the WiFi connection. I pick the smart plug and go back to the app, a things spins for a while then does nothing and just sits there. No additional information is provided. I'm returning the handful of smart plugs I purchased.

The smart switch works great but initial setup was painful. App would not connect to the smart switch if phone connection to wifi uses dhcp. Need to set phone/tablet wifi connection to have static IP address otherwise it will not connect. I've noticed after installing app, my phone will no longer have internet access unless i set up connection to have static address and not dhcp. I installed the app on LG V40.

The latest in 2010 home automation technology. No integration with modern setups like Philips Hue hubs or similar. Mandatory cloud account, so no internet equals no control. Dated setup process. Would not recommend either the app or the hardware.

Would not connect at all. Watched all the videos, read forums, FAQs, reset plug, rebooted phone, uninstalled/reinstalled app multiple times, tried at 2 different houses with different networks and NO LUCK. I have 2 other different smart plug brands, which both connected first try. Only bought this brand because the others were sold out. Returning ASAP.

Our bedroom light switch is linked to an outlet. We always had to get up out of bed to turn on and off the lights. The outlet works through WiFi and we turn on & off the light through an App on our cell phones. We have different cell phone systems and it works perfectly for both.

Just picked up this plug today and found no major issues during installation. Was up and running within a few minutes. Noticed it doesnt accept 5ghz wifi connection but other than that, not bad, easy to troubleshoot. Picking up a few more.

I would like to respond to all the people who have commented negatively for this app and the smart plug. Please check the instruction manual correctly. It uses a 2.4 GHZ wifi. So you need to change the settings in your router first. After that check any of the video to how to install the SP1 CE app and connect to a smart plug. I am in Quebec city and I purchased this smart plug from Home Depot. I confirm that this is really a good smart plug and perhaps the cheapest one too.

Plug works intermittently and my network security has shown that this plug is vulnerable and open to outside interference. No thanks, product will be returned. This is the only smart device in my house (I run a handful of brands) that reported this problem during routine checks. Buyer beware!

I tried downloading the app. It "downloads" quickly and moves to installing but hangs. It never installs. Tried on other phones with same result. I have to cancel after waiting several minutes. Can't even use the plug. As I can't install the app my hub can't connect so it's useless. Going back to Homedepot unless I get help.

Can't set up an account because the app states it will send a verification email, have waited over an hour after clicking 'resend email' multiple times and still have not received anything. And yes, I have checked my 'spam' folder. Have a smart plug that I cannot use...

Terrible application.. Not connecting to network.. no buttons to click..I DID READ INSTRUCTIONS and I also looked at a video on YouTube and it's supposed to be very simple...the application is just not working straight out of the bat freezing during the addition of the very first device... So I would not recommend the app or their product

Why is there no option to have plug on or off between certain times? I'm only able to turn the switch on at x time or off at x time. So currently the switch turns on at 6pm Monday to Friday, whens it turn off? Building automation is my career so this is oversight really annoys me. If there's a way to turn the switch on between certain times please let me know.

I absolutely love The plugs and the App. I can turn my lights on when I’m Almost home. I don’t have a smart home so these plugs work perfectly to turn on lights and fans. The app makes it easy to control everything. Great app!

This was my first time using smart plugs and I will never go back. I was quite surprised how easy it was to connect them with my smart phone. I had the four pack and they have been working well with voice control through my phone.
