Space Alert Mission Generator
Space Alert is a cooperative board game by Vlaada Chvátil. This app will generate random missions to use in the game, or let you play with the original missions that came with the game, including the missions from the expansion Space Alert: The New Frontier.
The app will assist with the walk-through after each mission is completed by keeping a mission log of all the events from the mission.
It is not possible to generate random missions for Double Action cards from the expansion.

Great game helper
The random mode difficulty varies wildly. If you get 4 serious threats, you have plenty of time to deal with them in relative isolation. On the other end, 8 threats is extremely difficult to handle. I'd prefer to be able to set the number of each.
This app is a much better companion for the Space Alert board game than the bundled audio CD. I haven't played with the procedurally generated missions yet because the game inherently randomizes game play well enough that there is plenty of content in the predefined scenarios.
The actual missions work great, but I set random to max difficulty on random and it didn't send any threats at all. So i did 3 more at varying difficulty and none of them sent any threats. Just data and communications static.
The only thing that's missing are clear instructions on how to add your own audio files. Other than that, it's fantastic!
This is a great app, very easy to use. I wish it had the missions from the expansion, that would bump it up to a 5 for me (update, it does now! )

Great app, loved it, very helpful and handy. Gets 5 stars from me. 4 suggestions: background audio in phases 2 and 3 could be increasingly alarming, as in the original game; post the instructions to add our own audio somewhere on the web and post the link here in the description, it's easier than navigating files in my device; make the whole line in the color of the zone (better than the original), not just the time. Finally, when the audio ends, have a more intuitive way to generate a new random mission (possibly a big button next to the one to replay the mission), instead of having to click on the not-very-intuitive (IMHO) "add" button at the top.
Used to work great, loved it. As of this writing, crashes sound at first event while running any mission. Verizon G3 phone.
App does not work properly on Random when requesting mission difficulty of 13 or 14 (maxes out at difficulty 12). No user control over number of data transfers, nor over the total length of communication down.
great app, but is there a female voice option you can add? who hopefully won't sound like a robot. it would make everything easier to the ears. :)
Last update made it work again. Can't wait for expansion mission updates. The adjustable random mission function keeps our crew on their toes. Thanks for the great app!
Really good app for randomized missions!
I initially had reservations about this app since it frequently crashed. A quick update was pushed and is now more stable. Next will be to use the app to "reality check" the app to determine if it generates enjoyable missions.
Great generator, comes preloaded with tutorial scenarios too, so you never need the disc. Phenomenal supplement to a great board game.
Great app! Only problem is a slight pause between sounds resulting in a particularly annoying "communication down" alarm effect. Fix that and you're gold!
Doesn't force close for me, only a slight con: It doesn't have the double action Missions that came New Frontier expansion pack.
Very great app. I love that it has all of the missions from the CD built in as well as a visible log of events that have happened. For future improvements It would be really nice to have the ability to make custom missions or have built in support for the little duckling class ship.

Voice, transcript, large scale of settings for generated missions. Exactly what you need for good game. PS be careful with"difficulty scale", every point of change does have an impact :)
Great app, good features, nice to have a mobile player and not need to have a CD player handy to play (Space Alert on a ferry ride was pretty epic). Serious threat incidence is very random. About half the games we played had zero serious threats, but then many other games would have 2 or 3. It'd be nice to add a feature to set a range of Serious threats to appear. Same could be added for Internal threats. Incoming data comes too often, we ran out of cards on 5-player games 4 different times. Data Transfer range isn't functional, in 10 games set at 3-4 Data Transfers, we never got more than 2 (and in one game only 1).
Works nicely and loving all the options and effects. might look good if it flashes up with the icon of what threat it is. Like internal threat or serious threat. Might look rubbish, just an idea. :-) keep up the good work.
Often creates a mission of lower difficulty than specified in the preferences (9 instead of 10). Too bad!
