Almost the same as the old desktop version, but there are some quirks. My muscle memory came back (after not playing this game for years) and the ball doesn't react to the flippers in the way that you expect it to, somtimes. I remember the left flipper being able to bounce the ball straight up, if you timed it right, but this new one shoots it out at an angle no matter what you do. Not a huge deal, but it is causing me to relearn old skills.

Needs fixing. It is good for the nostalgia but the game is broken. Ball physics are wonky at times, some hit boxes aren't well placed (not to original game), the bumpers are sometimes to powerful and sometimes don't do anything, the ball tends to disappear while entering one of the special holes (black hole and similar), you only get 2 balls +1 with ad and worst of all is the progress reset, if you lose your current ball you loose your mission progress and some things don't reset with a new game

I give 3 stars to encourage you to work on making it better! I'd loved this game if you fixed the bugs (there are quite a few). The most annoying thing is that you can't predict where the ball goes when you hit the flippers. Also, if you lose the ball you lose the mission progress you've made up to then. Reasons why I have to stop playing the game

Has lots of bugs. The ball has an issue of teleporting from one slot to another. The ball also likes to get stuck in slots. Unfortunately, there is no nudge, so if the ball is going straight down the centre you cant do much other than just watch it go down. If you paused the game you better hope the ball is in a decent place, cuz the second you unpause the ball starts moving, but you loose control of the flippers for about a second. Its a nice hd look of the game, but still needs work.

I don't like this much aside from the looks like the legitimate version on pc. It is much more difficult to play, sometimes there is lag of the right bumper which can lose you the game. The points and challenge system work differently and make it impossible to score big off them. And the ADS, after EVERY GAME. Ridiculous. Deleting after making this review.

Really excellent port of the classic game. My only problems are minor nitpicks like theres no feature to shake the cabinet and sometimes the pop-up score text overlaps. It would also be nice if there were some kind of scoring guide but most pinball tables don't have that so whatever. Overall really good download and removing the ads is an excellent deal.

This game radiates nostalgia; which is why it's so disappointing to have such small bugs interfere with the experience. The Hyperspace jackpot doesn't have full sound effects and sometimes eats the ball, casually putting it at the top without points. The ball physics are inconsistent making it difficult to aim of flippers and causes it move in unnatural ways. Skill shot doesn't award point consistently. There's no multi-ball or gravity well, and the game will randomly drop missions mid-play. Smh

This is genuinely an amazing game, and I happily bought the ad free very quickly but it isn't perfect like the original. Like others have said, there are sounds missing from the game and the game physics feel somewhat off. It is still fun though and very nostalgic, so hopefully the creator of this app comes back to it and helps it develop.

Physics are off. Launch ramp is almost impossible to hit. Only get 2 balls unless you watch ads. Unknown if paying the $2.49 will give all three balls. The tail trailing the ball is very annoying. Sensitivity on some of the buttons and drop flags is way to low, or strikes just don't register. Bumper physics just don't hit right. Graphics are amazing! Wish I could find a copy this nice for the PC that played like the original. Will upgrade the stars if issues like these are addressed.

This is incredible! An all but beat for beat remake, now with impressive haptic feedback to really immerse you in the game! The moment I started, I was hooked, and gladly payed up to contribute to this project. My only concern is that they do not make it clear if you are paying a recurring fee or a one time payment. That should be more clear to the user.

Two stars are because this isn't much like the original other than how it looks, and it is really buggy! If you lose a ball but you have completed a mission, you lose the "status" and ranks (but not the points) and this makes it impossible to get the higher level missions. If you are on the last ball and get a replay, you don't get to use it, and you can only get one extra ball and it plays as a replay instead. The physics are also a bit off from the original PC version.

This is good, but the physics are not the same. I used to play this on my computer for hours and I for some reason I remember exactly how it felt. The bumpers right above the flippers, all the bouncers (like the engines), and the launcher are much stronger. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think the friction is also off, but it could just be the faster ball from the added power because the ball is MUCH harder to control. It's still fun for a few minutes here and there, but it's different

Physics are weird compared to the original and it's missing some sound effects, notably the skill shot noise! Removing ads does give you all 3 balls, can confirm. It's fun, I would love to see this get a few tweaks and more of the original features added. Not a direct port, but a very similar clone.

Almost a dream-come-true! Love the enhanced graphics & the original sounds. The gravity of the ball, especially when travelling up, needs to be worked on. The new text pop-ups are nice, but they don't match the graphics of the game

Sea. May 20, 2022

Looks and sounds like the original but plays terribly. Physics are way off. Bumpers are too strong, can't angle/time shots (it's way too hard to hit the ramp), and there's no tilt. You spend more time watching it hit low score bumpers and unable to play the game as intended.

It desperately Needs to be fixed of alot of issues/bugs. On the missions you need to hit one of the ramps and you can't because the ball bounces before the mid/end of the flipper. Need to fix extra ball rewards with missions & rewards, ect. (please don't sacrifice the game & our expectations for money, if given the proper version of the game most of us would probably pay for it) Appreciate the great run of memory lane but the disappoinment due to the issues is just overwhelming.

Dal. N. Apr 21, 2022

Mission status is lost with each lost ball. Extra ball is an ad option at the end. Close it original, but these two items are reason I didn't keep it. Ads are NOT bad at all, a 30 sec ad before a single game lasting 10 or more minutes isn't too much to ask for.

Best remake out there so far! Although I do wish the game gave us the whole three balls that the original gave us instead of just giving us two balls, and forcing us to watch an ad for the third. Some of the sound effects are not present, especially in the hyperpsace chute, and some sound effects are not in the correct spots, but I don't really find the latter a huge issue. Overall, it's a pretty solid remake, and would recommend to anyone else like myself who were a major fan of the original!!!

She. H. Oct 3, 2019

I love the original version of this game. This remake is fairly well done. I have the same issues as other reviewers (physics, sometimes the ball goes through the tips of the flippers, etc.) The biggest reason I rated this 3 when it should be a 5 is because when you do the missions, it does not save your progress after you lose the ball. So you have to start from square one every single time you "die". Please fix this! The game is barely worth playing if I can't progress! Keep up the good work!

So far so good. Feels just like it should. I have found a bug (at least for mine)... on the right side of the table, after the ball is launched from behind the flipper, the little bar comes down to block the ball from using that again, but the ball passes that wall, but gets stuck inside. This then forces me to close app and reset. I still very much enjoy the game👍, just that bug here and there.

It certainly looks and sounds like the Space Cadet that came with XP, but it doesn't completely act like it. Some of the play characteristics are subtly but importantly different. For example, in the original game, when the ball ejects from the hyperspace chute, it is quite likely to bounce off the left flipper and go up the left ramp, but in this game the ball invariably hits the drop-down bank below the chute and fails to do anything useful. In many ways it's like a rigged live arcade version.

I love this. Simple port of an all time classic pinball game, from the era of Windows XP LOL. The touch screen controls work very well, and being on a phone, the aspect ratio is perfect for this type of game. Also for those complaining that ball sometimes falls straight though the both flippers, that's a problem with even the original version, not just this. Either way, still very fun to play. Download it.

A visually pleasing experience marred by flaws and oddities. Interestingly enough the minor differences or issues will have a huge impact to the experience if you're demanding a highly authentic experience. It'll never feel quite right and the off putting feeling will build with each ball. Don't get me wrong, it's the best reconstruction of the game I've seen so far. By all means download if you're fine with a close enough copy but this doesn't quite cut it for me to keep even as a longtime fan.

Vin. L. Jul 3, 2019

It's okay so far. The ball physics feel very different. I played the original on my computer to compare it and the ball definitely travels differently in this version. My biggest physics complaint is that every single time the ball goes into the left-most chute, it will launch out but instead of being shot back up to the top like in the original, it bounces to the right, going into the bumpers and then falls back into the chute only for me to lose.

Sil. Jun 18, 2019

it's an extremely admirable effort to port the timeless classic to android, however, some improvements are needed. The physics are just all over the place, and i found it an odd choice to use a 3D-rendered ball on a table that was pre-rendered. The trail that the ball leaves behind is also absent in the original. it's somewhat off-putting, and makes it feel unauthentic. Performance is another issue, as i find the game lagging as the ball is around the bumpers. My phone uses a Snapdragon 835.

flo. Apr 20, 2021

The nostalgia is really hitting me while playing this, and while the physics aren't *quite* right (I can't do my 'signature move' no matter how hard I try), I'm really happy that I can play it on my phone as well. What I feel like is a HUGE problem though is the placement of the ad. Having to watch it just to access the third ball which we are supposed to get in the first place is simply awful. I would suggest putting it *after* a completed game instead.

It's not the same as the original computer game. It looks the same but there are a few problems. You can earn a replay ball but you only actually can replay it if you earn it on the first ball, sometimes the flippers stick even if you tap and you lose that ball, I could always hit the ball a certain way on the computer game and know it will go in a certain tunnel, on here it's just dumb luck, sometimes the app crashes. I miss the old fashioned and well written computer version.
