Fun game if you enjoy problem solving instead of puzzle solving. Very similar to simplistic programming, and has a very natural progression. Controls were much easier with a stylus, I'm sure the small buttons would be difficult to manage with larger fingers or a smaller screen. Trying to optimize your solutions to place better on the leaderboards is always an interesting challenge. I already own the game on desktop, so I know it's fun, but this is a fairly good port to mobile.
I love the PC version and really, really wanted to love this one, too. The interface is just SO BAD, though. Whenever I'd drag an instruction from the top of the screen, my phone's info bar would pop down and obscure the available commands. The method of swapping the colors of instructions is just bad, too, and amounts to "hold down this on-screen button that's closely nested between three other buttons while tapping precisely with your other finger." Ugh. I'm glad I didn't just buy the paid version sight unseen.
SpaceChem is really fun game with a heavy focus on logical problem solving, but it continues to confound me with its illogical interface design choices. I played this on both my fairly small Galaxy tablet and my very un-small Galaxy Note 2, and the microscopic lettering wreaked untold amounts of havoc upon my aging eyes. The fixed aspect ratio also doesn't help its case either. All told, if you really want to enjoy this gem, seek it out on other platforms.
The app looks promising but the letters are too small to be read hence make it unplayable. My screen size is 3.5 inches.
As a chemical engineer, I can confirm that this is really fun and nothing at all like real life. 5 stars.
EVERY ONE SHOULD RATE THIS 5 STARS I have the Game on the computer of mine AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL
This game is wonderful. Not many levels but this is a demo and I'd gladly pay for the rest of the levels. A little hard to understand though, even after the "tutorial" levels.
Huge dots taking up a bunch of the screen, crashes when trying to click the video on one of the first screens. Programmed like garbage.
The game interface needs to be adapted for touchscreens. Other than that, excellent game.
As much as I like the game, I simply refuse to buy it because of how messed up the interface is. If the interface was rearranged a little bit, I would buy it. But not now in its current condition.
As someone who owns the PC version the play buttons are dreadfully small on phones, especially with cases.
Thought the last reviewer was exaggerating. They weren't. Maybe the game is great, but less to sort to deal with these miniscule instructions
The UI is awful. It's clearly made for PC or tablet.
I like the game and would love to be able to play it on my phone, but even on my rather large Nexus 6 the interface is unusably tiny. This desperately needs a new interface.
I couldn't get anywhere with the tiny writing. Didn't know what I was doing.
Seriously 5 pixel high letters are not enough on a high resolution device like a Nexus 6. It needs simple pinch zoom to make it at all playable.
Wouldn't be bad to move the menu from the top to the bottom of the screen? It would avoid the notification bar from dropping down all the time.
Horrible UI, just playable on a tablet, but not a phone.
Played the game on PC and loved it, but it just isnt suited for mobile
Great game, requiring programmer-style thinking. Non-trivial, yet not too hard. Although, I would recommend playing it on PC.
Just yes but i wish there were more free levels
Ended up buying the full version
The fonts and icons are very very small. I have a note 5 and I still cant read anything. Maybe if you play it on a large tablet.
One of the best.
I love it
The crapeist game ever
I have this game on the pc and love it. Not sure if I'll get it here though as the price is steep. The game does work great on my galaxy note 10.1 tab and text is just as it is on the pc for me. I cant understand why people will rewite a review for an app that is not meant for their device. That is just petty.
In this game you play an engineer, designing the interior of reactors in order to combine elements into molecules. It requires a lot of logic. The order and timing of each reactor setup is completely up to you. The better the timing and setup, the better the score. Excellent replay value. As i learned more, I found myself going back and re-designing earlier levels for better scores. The ui is tough, but manageable on tablets. Not for everyone but definitely a gem for some.
